ZZZ Version 3.2: Release Date, Banners & Everything Confirmed
By Sir Ayup 31 August 2026, 00:00 WIB
Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2, “Their Secret Histories,” launches on September 9, 2026, introducing the new Armorer Specialty alongside S-Rank Agents Claret and Roxy. The update also continues the Vyrium storyline, updates Operation Bagel, expands the Beginner Guide, adjusts Perfect Assist behavior, and gives players a cumulative 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons during the version.
The August 28 Special Program resolves several questions that were still open when GameMarket published its Version 3.2 Special Program preview. Claret's Specialty now has an official name, the banner order is established, and HoYoverse has explained the core mechanics behind Armorer rather than leaving players dependent on beta information.
Here is what is confirmed so far.
ZZZ Version 3.2 release date
Version 3.2 launches globally on September 9, 2026.
The update is titled “Their Secret Histories” and continues the current Roscaelifer storyline by sending the Proxies to Vyrium, a special zone within the Shrouded Reef.
The investigation begins while the Proxies are continuing treatment for the mutated power affecting them, but another problem quickly pulls Flint Workshop into the story: a shipment of Porcelloy disappears from a transfer station.
Claret and Roxy investigate the missing cargo, eventually following the trail toward a covert research facility linked to Helios Academy.
The story also brings Lindverne Sunbringer, Administrative Director of the Airspace Patrol Department, into the investigation.
Phase 1: Claret and Nangong Yu
The first half of Version 3.2 is headlined by Claret, an S-Rank Electric Agent and the first playable member of the new Armorer Specialty.
Claret is the head of Flint Workshop, and her combat design is built around an unusual combination of defensive scaling and offensive critical-hit mechanics.
Her confirmed fundamentals include:
-
Electric Attribute
-
S-Rank rarity
-
Armorer Specialty
-
skills that use DEF as their base damage multiplier
-
Gash application
-
Maim
-
Laceration DMG
-
multi-CRIT
-
Counter Assist access
Claret's exclusive Signal Search will be available during the first half of the version.
Nangong Yu also returns during Phase 1, alongside her Exclusive W-Engine.
GameMarket previously covered Claret through early beta information in the ZZZ Claret leaks guide. The important difference now is that the broad mechanics above have been officially confirmed, while old beta multipliers should no longer be treated as final live values.
Phase 2: Roxy and Promeia
The second half introduces Roxy, an S-Rank Wind Stun Agent from Flint Workshop.
Her confirmed combat identity revolves around Eyes of the Storm.
Holding Roxy's EX Special Attack creates a tornado and forms an Eye of the Storm on the battlefield. She can then gather and detonate existing Eyes of the Storm to create a much larger tornado.
That gives her a more field-control-focused identity than Claret's DEF-scaling damage system.
Roxy's earlier GameMarket coverage was based on Version 3.2 beta material, so exact multipliers and optimal rotations should still wait for her final live kit.
Promeia returns during the second half alongside her Exclusive W-Engine.
Armorer is ZZZ's new Specialty
The largest mechanical addition in Version 3.2 is Armorer.
HoYoverse describes the Specialty as balancing offense and defense, but its debut introduces several systems that go beyond simply giving a defensive Agent more damage.
The confirmed Armorer concepts are:
-
Maim
-
multi-CRIT
-
Counter Assist
Claret then adds her own character-specific systems on top of them, particularly Gash and her DEF-based damage scaling.
This distinction matters.
Not every future Armorer is necessarily going to use Gash exactly like Claret does. Gash is part of Claret's implementation of the Specialty, while Maim, multi-CRIT and Counter Assist are the broader systems being introduced with Armorer.
How Claret's Gash and Maim work
Claret builds Gash on enemies through her attacks.
Once enough Gash has accumulated and the state is applied, certain skills can trigger Maim.
Maim deals additional damage and also grants a Laceration DMG boost.
This creates a setup-and-payoff structure:
-
attack and build Gash
-
establish the Gash state
-
use the relevant skill
-
trigger Maim
-
benefit from additional damage and increased Laceration output
The Special Program provides enough information to understand that loop, but not enough to justify publishing every old beta stack value or multiplier as final.
Why CRIT Rate above 100% matters now
Claret also changes one of the most familiar assumptions in ZZZ character building.
Normally, once a character reaches 100% effective CRIT Rate, additional CRIT Rate has no benefit.
Claret can continue gaining value from it.
When her CRIT Rate exceeds 100%, the excess portion contributes to the new multi-CRIT mechanic. Multi-CRIT uses Laceration DMG in place of ordinary CRIT DMG calculations.
Her initial CRIT DMG is also converted into initial CRIT Rate at a certain ratio.
That makes three stats particularly important to understanding her design:
-
DEF
-
CRIT Rate
-
CRIT DMG
It also means players should not automatically apply the normal "stop at 100% CRIT Rate" rule to Claret.
For a wider explanation of ZZZ gearing and stat rolls, GameMarket's Drive Disc farming guide covers the standard equipment system.
Counter Assist adds another defensive interaction
Armorer also receives access to Counter Assist.
This allows the Agent to contest certain enemy Control Skills and push the enemy back when the interaction succeeds.
That is important because Armorer's defensive side is not simply represented through higher DEF.
The Specialty also interacts directly with enemy actions.
The full list of compatible enemy Control Skills will be easier to assess once Version 3.2 is live and the new Armorer VR Training stage is available.
Version 3.2 events
Several events are confirmed for the update.
Diary of an Orbie Parent
A virtual pet-raising event.
Chronicles of the Hobbling Crow
A Booastrum detective event.
Shadow Chase Showdown
An HIA virtual combat event.
Rewards across Version 3.2 events include items such as:
-
Polychromes
-
Tuning Calibrators
-
progression materials
HoYoverse has also announced that players can obtain faction-series Angels of Delusion outfits for free through related events in subsequent versions. This is worth wording carefully: the announcement does not say every outfit is simply handed out immediately when Version 3.2 begins.
10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons
Players who log in during the version can receive a cumulative total of:
-
10 Encrypted Master Tapes
-
10 Boopons
The important word is cumulative.
The announcement confirms the total across the version period, rather than saying all 20 items arrive as one immediate mailbox reward.
Operation Bagel gets its first season update
Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel receives a standard season update in Version 3.2.
The update includes:
-
new Z-Rank valuables
-
new character Gear
-
advanced challenges
-
server-wide rankings
-
refreshed season missions
-
new season-limited large-capacity inventory
-
new Proxy accessories
Claret and Roxy are also added with Tactical Prisms and Armorer Specialty General Gears.
A new item called Break-Even Beacon is also being introduced.
When used, it summons a Bangboo that carries some supplies away in advance. Those supplies are preserved even if the final extraction fails and still contribute to the current round's tally.
If you have not used the mode much yet, GameMarket's Operation Bagel guide explains its extraction structure before the 3.2 seasonal additions arrive.
Beginner Guide expands in Version 3.2
The Beginner Guide is also being updated.
The Agent selection now includes:
-
Jane
-
Hugo
-
Soldier 0 – Anby
Players who did not claim their Agent self-select perk during Version 3.1 can still make that selection through the Guide after Version 3.2 arrives.
Completing Phase 2 missions also allows players to select a corresponding Exclusive W-Engine.
That makes the Guide update relevant even to existing accounts that left their Version 3.1 selection unused.
Koleda and Perfect Assist changes
Koleda is receiving an enhancement in Version 3.2.
The update also changes how visual Assist prompts behave:
-
golden flashes consistently trigger Defensive Assist
-
red flashes consistently trigger Evasive Assist
This should make the game's response to enemy attacks easier to read consistently rather than requiring players to interpret changing Assist behavior.
New Armorer training and City Fund W-Engine
The VR Training Room receives an Armorer-exclusive training stage, giving players a place to learn the new Specialty mechanics.
A new W-Engine called Bloodmarrow Coffer is also being added to City Fund Benefits. It will be redeemable in future versions with the Great Builder's Certificate.
What still needs the live update
The Special Program confirms the structure of Version 3.2, but several details are still better verified from the final game client.
These include:
-
exact Signal Search end timestamps
-
featured A-Rank Agents
-
final numerical kit multipliers
-
final W-Engine values
-
exact event reward quantities
-
the full set of enemy skills compatible with Counter Assist
Those details can change the best build or pull analysis without changing the overall update summary.
What Version 3.2 changes
Version 3.2 is not simply a two-character banner update.
Its bigger contribution is mechanical.
Claret introduces a damage model where DEF contributes directly to offense, CRIT Rate can remain relevant beyond 100%, and Armorer gains a defensive interaction through Counter Assist.
Roxy then gives the patch a second combat identity through Wind Stun and Eye of the Storm field control.
Alongside those Agents, HoYoverse is continuing Vyrium's story, updating Operation Bagel and expanding systems for both new and existing players.
That gives September 9 three separate reasons to matter:
new characters, a new Specialty, and new rules for how some combat stats can work.
