ZZZ Version 3.2 Special Program: Date, Time and What to Expect
By Rivan Wi 25 August 2026, 10:00 WIB
HoYoverse has announced the Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 "Their Secret Histories" Special Program, airing 28 August at 19:30 (UTC+8) on the game's official livestream channels.
The announcement does two things at once. It sets the broadcast date, and it finally puts an official name on Version 3.2 — something that had been missing while the update's contents circulated freely through leaks. That distinction is the useful frame for the next four days: a great deal is already known about 3.2, and almost none of it has been confirmed by HoYoverse. The 28 August broadcast is where that changes.
What's confirmed
- Version 3.2 is titled "Their Secret Histories." Officially announced, following 3.0's A Sleepwalker's Confession and 3.1's The Long Goodbye.
- The Special Program airs 28 August at 19:30 (UTC+8) via official livestream.
- The story thread continues the Bangboo manipulation plot — the mastermind behind it is still at large.
- Claret Flint and Roxy Ifrita Pryce have official Agent Records, with full character illustrations published ahead of the broadcast.
When to watch, in your timezone
The broadcast time converts as follows, all on 28 August:
- 11:30 UTC
- 07:30 EDT (US East Coast)
- 04:30 PDT (US West Coast)
- 12:30 BST (UK)
- 13:30 CEST (Central Europe)
- 17:00 IST (India)
- 18:30 WIB (Indonesia)
- 19:30 SGT / CST (Singapore, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong)
- 20:30 JST (Japan)
Worth noting for anyone coming from other gacha titles: Zenless Zone Zero runs a single unified build rather than separate regional versions on different patch schedules. There's no CN-ahead-of-Global gap here — everyone gets 3.2 at the same time, and the broadcast is the same broadcast for all regions.
The story thread
The announcement's hook points at unfinished business: the mastermind behind the Bangboo manipulation hasn't been caught.
Season 3 has been set in Roscaelifer, not New Eridu — a distinction worth being precise about, since a fair amount of 3.2 coverage has placed the new Agents in the wrong city. Roscaelifer is where 3.0 and 3.1 unfolded, and the Flint Workshop that Claret runs is one of the state's five central departments, serving as its Porcelloy equipment research and manufacturing centre.
"Their Secret Histories" as a title suggests the version leans on backstory rather than pure forward momentum, which would fit a plot that has been steadily peeling back what Roscaelifer's institutions have been doing quietly. The Special Program is where the actual chapter structure gets outlined.
What's officially known about Claret and Roxy
Both new Agents have received official Agent Records — HoYoverse's formal character introductions, complete with splash art. That's a meaningful step above teaser silhouettes, and it's the reason both names can be stated as fact rather than rumour.
Claret Flint is confirmed as an S-Rank Electric Agent and the Director of the Flint Workshop. Her official teaser displayed a specialty icon that has never appeared on any Agent before, which confirms a genuinely new class is arriving — HoYoverse showed the icon without naming the class.
Roxy Ifrita Pryce is confirmed as an upcoming Agent with her own Agent Record and illustration, described in the lore as Claret's close assistant at the Flint Workshop.
That is the full extent of what HoYoverse has published. Everything else about these two — and there is a great deal circulating — comes from beta datamining.
What the broadcast will settle
This is the practical value of 28 August. The following are all currently unconfirmed, and all of them are standard Special Program content:
- The Version 3.2 release date. Community estimates point to 9 September based on the game's roughly six-week cadence, with 3.1 having launched 29 July. HoYoverse has not confirmed it.
- The name of Claret's new specialty class. The icon is official; the name isn't.
- Banner order. Which Agent headlines Phase 1 and which takes Phase 2.
- Rerun Agents for both phases — currently the single biggest unknown for anyone planning pulls.
- Featured A-Ranks on each banner.
- The W-Engine banner lineup, including the official names and stats of both signature W-Engines.
- Final kit values. Multipliers and scaling from beta builds routinely change before release.
- Event lineup, new modes and quality-of-life changes.
- Redeem codes. Special Programs have traditionally included promotional codes granting Polychromes, distributed during the broadcast.
What's still leak-only
Leaked material about 3.2 has been circulating for weeks and is remarkably detailed — full skill descriptions, W-Engine passives with specific percentages, Mindscape Cinema effects, banner phase assignments.
Treat all of it as unverified. Not because it's necessarily wrong; leaked kits often survive to release largely intact. But beta values are exactly the category that gets tuned late, and banner ordering in particular is frequently inference rather than data. The distance between "a datamined skill description exists" and "this is what the Agent will do on 9 September" is real.
The specific trap this patch: a new specialty class means a new set of interactions with existing team archetypes, and early theorycrafting built on unconfirmed numbers can produce team recommendations that don't survive contact with the live build. Waiting four days costs nothing.
What to do before 28 August
Bank Polychromes. Zenless Zone Zero carries limited banner pity forward between limited Agent banners, so accumulating ahead of an unconfirmed banner order is safe. You don't need to know who leads Phase 1 to know that saving is correct.
Don't commit to a pull plan yet. With rerun Agents unannounced, the plan you build today could be reshaped entirely by a single name in the broadcast. Reruns are the variable most likely to change someone's priorities.
Finish 3.1 content. Anything time-limited in the current version closes when 3.2 arrives, and event rewards don't return. If 3.2 does land on 9 September, that's roughly two weeks of runway.
Watch live if you can. Redeem codes have traditionally been given out during the broadcast with limited claim windows, so catching them early avoids the scramble.
Preparing your account for 3.2
A new specialty class arriving means the material demands of the patch are partly unknown — new classes have historically brought their own upgrade materials alongside the usual Agent and W-Engine progression, and a roster that's already built absorbs that far better than one that isn't. Browse verified Zenless Zone Zero accounts if you'd rather enter 3.2 from a developed roster with Polychromes banked, keep daily progression and 3.1 event clears moving with Zenless Zone Zero hourly services, or push Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault clears through Zenless Zone Zero boosting before the version turns over.
