ZZZ Angels Support Operation: Free Outfits, No Agents Needed
By Rivan Wi 8 September 2026, 16:00 WIB
Angels Support Operation is live in Zenless Zone Zero from the Version 3.2 update through to 30 November 2026 at 03:59 (server time) — and it does something gacha games rarely do.
You don't need to own the Agents to claim their outfits.
Proxies who have never pulled Nangong Yu, Aria or Sunna can still take the limited outfits, view them in the Agent's outfit menu, and keep them. Here's how it works.
The short version
- Runs from the Version 3.2 update until 30 November 2026, 03:59 (server time).
- Requirements: Inter-Knot Level 20 and Main Story Chapter 1 – Intermission.
- Three limited-time missions, unlocking one after another across Versions 3.2 and 3.3.
- Outfits available: Nangong Yu: Heartfelt Support, Aria: Cuteness Loading, Sunna: Delusions in Business.
- You do not need to own the Agents.
- Unclaimed rewards will not be reissued.
You don't need the Agents
This is the detail worth leading with, because it inverts the normal logic of character cosmetics.
HoYoverse's wording is explicit: Proxies who do not yet own Nangong Yu, Aria or Sunna can still claim the outfit. Once obtained, it sits in that Agent's outfit menu waiting for the day you pull them.
In most gacha games, character skins are gated behind owning the character — which makes them a reward for existing investment rather than an incentive toward it. This runs the other way.
Two practical consequences:
- Claim them regardless of your roster. There's no reason to skip an outfit because you don't have the Agent. A cosmetic sitting in a menu costs nothing and becomes live the moment you pull.
- It quietly raises the value of pulling those Agents later. Arriving at a banner already holding the limited outfit is a small but real nudge — and that's presumably the point.
The three missions
Three limited-time missions unlock one after another across Versions 3.2 and 3.3. They don't all open at once, so this isn't a single sitting.
Completing the corresponding mission lets you obtain an Angels of Delusion limited outfit of your choice, picked from:
- Nangong Yu: Heartfelt Support
- Aria: Cuteness Loading
- Sunna: Delusions in Business
One ambiguity worth flagging. The announcement states that each outfit can only be claimed once per Proxy and cannot be claimed repeatedly. The most natural reading is that the three missions yield three different outfits across the event, with the restriction preventing you from taking the same one twice.
But the wording could also be read as a single choice. HoYoverse hasn't clarified it further, so check the event page in-game before assuming you'll end up with all three.
The claim deadline is separate from the completion deadline
Here's the trap, and it's stated plainly in the announcement rather than hidden.
- Completing a mission is not the same as receiving the outfit. You must claim the rewards within the event period.
- Rewards not claimed before the event ends will not be reissued.
- Once all rewards have been claimed, the event page closes at 04:00 the following day (server time).
So the sequence to be careful about is: complete the mission, then actually go and claim. A mission cleared in October with an unclaimed reward sitting behind it becomes nothing on 30 November.
Set a reminder. Three months is exactly the kind of window where "I'll grab it later" turns into forgetting entirely.
Entry requirements
- Inter-Knot Level 20
- Main Story Chapter 1 – Intermission completed
That's the same gate as the Ding-Dong! Delivery Training event, and it's a low bar — most active accounts cleared both long ago. Chapter 1's Intermission is early content, so a returning player doesn't need to be caught up on the story to qualify.
If you're new or coming back, the three-month window is generous enough to reach the requirement and still complete everything.
Why the timing matters
The event spans two full versions, 3.2 and 3.3, which is unusually long for a ZZZ event.
Version 3.2 "Their Secret Histories" launched 9 September:
- Claret Flins debuts as the game's first Armorer — a new permanent Agent Specialty built around Maim, multi-CRIT and Counter Assist.
- Nangong Yu rerun runs in Phase 1.
- Roxy arrives in Phase 2, built around Eyes of the Storm, alongside a Promeia rerun.
That Nangong Yu rerun is directly relevant. One of the three outfits is his, and his banner is running now. If you were considering him, holding the limited outfit before you pull is a reasonable order of operations.
What isn't specified
- Whether all three outfits are obtainable, or only one per Proxy.
- The unlock dates for the second and third missions.
- What the missions actually involve — combat, story, exploration or event-mode content.
- Whether any additional rewards accompany the outfits.
Check the event page in-game for the mission requirements as each one unlocks.
What to do
Claim outfits even for Agents you don't own. They wait in the outfit menu, and there's no downside.
Complete the mission and then claim. Those are two separate actions, and only the second one actually gives you the outfit.
Note 30 November. Three months is long enough to forget entirely, and nothing gets reissued afterwards.
Watch for the second and third missions. They unlock across 3.2 and 3.3 rather than all at once, so one visit to the event page isn't enough.
Consider the Nangong Yu rerun. His banner is live in 3.2 Phase 1, and his outfit is one of the three on offer.
Getting the account ready
Free cosmetics are free, but the Agents they sit on aren't — and Drive Discs, W-Engines and levelling materials are the slow half of Zenless Zone Zero, not the pulling.
