Zenless Zone Zero runs Ding-Dong! Delivery Training in Progress from 28 August at 10:00 to 14 September at 03:59 (server time), handing out Polychrome for helping a Bangboo deliver Wish Letters.

It's a light event with a hard constraint: you can earn a maximum of two Wish Letters per day, and missed days cannot be recovered. There's no final-week catch-up. That makes an otherwise casual event something you either start on day one or partially forfeit.

Here's the full breakdown, the daily maths, and the second condition that catches people out.

What's confirmed

From the official announcement:

  • Event period: 28 August 2026, 10:00 – 14 September 2026, 03:59 (server time)
  • Requirements: Reach Inter-Knot Level 20 and complete Main Story Chapter 1 – Intermission
  • How it works: Talk to Batti in Booastrum to help the Bangboo deliver Wish Letters
  • Wish Letters are earned twice daily — once on your first login, and once the first time you consume Battery each day, capped at 2 per day
  • Delivering set amounts of Wish Letters awards Polychrome

For newcomers: Polychrome is Zenless Zone Zero's premium currency, used to purchase the Master Tapes you spend on Agent banners. Battery Charge is the stamina system that gates farming activities.

The daily cap, in numbers

This is where the planning happens.

The event opens at 10:00 on 28 August and closes at 03:59 on 14 September. Zenless Zone Zero's daily reset lands at 04:00 server time, and the event's closing timestamp sits exactly at the end of a daily cycle — meaning 13 September is the last day you can collect.

That gives you 17 daily cycles: 28 to 31 August, then 1 to 13 September.

At two Wish Letters per cycle, the ceiling is roughly 34 Wish Letters across the whole event.

Every day you skip removes two letters from that total permanently. If the reward tiers require a high delivery count — and the announcement doesn't publish the thresholds — missing even a handful of days early could put the top tier out of reach entirely.

The practical rule: start on 28 August, not in September.

The Battery condition most people miss

Read the earning conditions carefully, because they're not both free.

The first Wish Letter comes from logging in. That costs nothing.

The second requires you to consume Battery Charge — the first time you spend it each day. That's an action, not a passive reward.

This matters for a specific type of player: anyone who lets Battery accumulate over several days and then spends it in one large farming session. That's a perfectly reasonable habit in normal play, and here it quietly halves your event income. If you log in daily but only actually spend Battery twice a week, you'll finish the event with roughly half the letters available to you.

Spend at least some Battery every single day for the duration. Even a single Routine Cleanup run satisfies the condition.

A note on "server time"

The announcement lists both timestamps as server time, and Zenless Zone Zero runs separate America, Europe and Asia servers on different offsets. That means 28 August at 10:00 is a different absolute moment depending on which region your account sits in.

Don't convert these times from someone else's region. Check the event timer in-game — it displays against your own server clock, which is the only one that matters for your account.

The entry requirements are low

Inter-Knot Level 20 and Main Story Chapter 1 – Intermission is a modest gate. Most active accounts cleared both long ago, and a new or returning player starting now could reasonably qualify within the event window rather than being locked out.

If you're returning to Zenless Zone Zero after a break, this is worth knowing: you don't need to be caught up on the story to participate. Chapter 1's Intermission is early content.

Why the timing matters

Two calendar facts make this event more valuable than its modest presentation suggests.

28 August is a double date. The event opens the same day as the Version 3.2 "Their Secret Histories" Special Program, which airs at 19:30 (UTC+8). That broadcast is expected to reveal 3.2's release date, banner order and rerun Agents.

The event spans the version transition. Version 3.1 is currently running, and community estimates place 3.2's launch around 9 September based on the game's roughly six-week cadence — though HoYoverse hasn't confirmed a date. If that estimate holds, Ding-Dong! Delivery Training begins in 3.1 and ends inside 3.2.

That places its Polychrome payouts directly into the window where 3.2's banners are live. Claret Flint and Roxy Ifrita Pryce have both received official Agent Records, and Claret is confirmed as an S-Rank Electric Agent carrying a specialty icon that has never appeared on any Agent before.

Free premium currency arriving at the exact moment a new banner lineup opens is worth considerably more than the same currency at a quiet point in the patch cycle. Complete the deliveries; bank the Polychrome.

What isn't known

  • The total Polychrome payout. Not published.
  • Delivery tier thresholds — how many Wish Letters each reward tier requires.
  • Whether any non-Polychrome rewards are attached.
  • Whether unspent Wish Letters carry any value at the event's close.

Check the event page in-game on 28 August for the reward table before deciding how aggressively to chase the top tier.

What to do

Start on day one. With a hard daily cap and no catch-up mechanism, the only real mistake available here is starting late.

Spend Battery daily, even a little. The login letter is automatic; the second one isn't. This is the single most common way players lose half an event's rewards without noticing.

Check your own server's timer. Region offsets differ, and the event's final day is 13 September on your local server clock.

Bank the Polychrome rather than spending it in 3.1. With 3.2's banner order unannounced until the 28 August broadcast, spending now means deciding without information you'll have in days.

Watch the Special Program the same day. It's the broadcast that turns 3.2's leaked details into confirmed ones — and the reruns it announces are the variable most likely to reshape anyone's pull plans.

Preparing for 3.2

A stack of Polychrome only pays off on an account ready to use what it pulls — new Agents need Drive Discs, W-Engine investment and levelling materials before they contribute anything, and that's the slow half of Zenless Zone Zero. Browse verified Zenless Zone Zero accounts if you'd rather enter 3.2 from a developed roster with currency already banked, keep dailies and Battery spending on track with Zenless Zone Zero hourly services, or push Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault clears through Zenless Zone Zero boosting before the version turns over.
