Who Tops the Wuthering Waves Tier List Right Now? Best by Role
By Sir Ayup
As of Version 3.7 (November 2026), the top of the Wuthering Waves tier list belongs to Hiyuki, Hsin, Jingran, Qingxiao and Yangyang: Xuanling on main damage, Denia, Iuno, Lucilla and Suoming as sub-DPS, and Chisa, Mornye, Suisui and Shorekeeper as supports. Several 2026 Resonators sit just below them, and older favorites still hold up well inside the right team.
This guide from gamemarket.gg explains how the tiers are decided, ranks the major Resonators by role from top tier to A tier, and shows how to use the list when deciding where your Astrite goes.
How This Tier List Is Built
Every placement below reflects performance at Sequence 0, mainly in Tower of Adversity, with Whimpering Wastes results used as a cross-check. Rankings from the major tier lists for Phase II of Version 3.7 were compared, and a Resonator only sits in a tier when most of them agree.
Teams in Wuthering Waves run three Resonators, usually one main DPS, one sub-DPS and one support, so the list is split by role. A top-tier support often lifts more teams than a second top-tier carry, which matters when you are choosing between two banners.
The Wuthering Waves Tier List for Version 3.7
Top Tier
These Resonators lead almost every ranking this version and fit the strongest teams with little compromise.
- Main DPS: Hiyuki, Hsin, Jingran, Qingxiao, Yangyang: Xuanling
- Sub-DPS: Denia, Iuno, Lucilla, Suoming
- Supports: Chisa, Mornye, Suisui, Shorekeeper
Suoming is the hardest to label. Some lists rank her as a hybrid, others as a main DPS, and she performs best next to Hsin either way.
S Tier
S-tier Resonators clear all current content comfortably and still appear in several of the best teams.
- Main DPS: Aemeath, Luuk Herssen, Sigrika
- Sub-DPS: Lynae, Qiuyuan, Rebecca
- Supports: Verina
Lynae is the best example of how close this tier is to the top. She dropped a step in the latest revisions, yet she still appears as an option in most of the strongest team setups.
A Tier
A-tier Resonators still work in endgame, but they need a narrower team or extra Sequences to keep up.
- Main DPS: Augusta, Cartethyia, Galbrena, Phrolova, Lucy
- Sub-DPS: Ciaccona, Lupa, Rover (Electro), plus Mortefi and Sanhua at high Sequence
- Supports: Buling at high Sequence
Resonators not listed here sit in lower tiers on most rankings. Many of them are early 5-stars and 4-stars that still carry new accounts through exploration and the story.
Where the Rankings Disagree
The biggest gaps involve Resonators from earlier in 2026. Aemeath and Lynae sit in the very top tier on older lists but one step lower on the latest revisions, mostly because newer teams now outperform theirs in Tower of Adversity. Augusta, Phrolova, Cartethyia and Ciaccona show the same pattern, landing anywhere from top tier to A depending on how recent the list is.
Dates explain most of it. A tier list from early 2026 cannot include Hsin, Jingran, Qingxiao or Suoming, so a Resonator that ranked first a few patches ago naturally slides as new kits arrive. When two lists disagree by two tiers, checking their version number usually settles it.
How to Use the Tier List When You Pull
Supports give the most value per pull. A support such as Shorekeeper or Mornye fits several teams, while a second carry only improves one, so many players secure one strong support before chasing another main DPS. The order in which Resonators to build first follows the same logic for new accounts.
Sequences matter less than they look. Most top-tier Resonators are already strong at Sequence 0, and the jump from extra copies rarely beats adding a new teammate, as the breakdown of each Resonance Chain step shows.
Timing is the last piece. A limited Resonator can take up to 160 pulls if the 50/50 is lost, so planning around pity, rates and banners before committing Astrite saves a lot of frustration.
What Comes Next
Phase II banners for Version 3.7 close on November 11, 2026, and the Version 3.8 preview has already introduced Lily, a 5-star Spectro Resonator who uses pistols. Her final placement will depend on her kit and the teams built around her, so the list above is likely to shift once 3.8 is live.
Newer players will get more out of any tier list after learning the basics of Resonators, Echoes and Astrite, since an S-tier Resonator with poorly tuned Echoes rarely beats an A-tier one built properly.
A List That Moves Every Version
Tier lists in Wuthering Waves move with almost every version, as new Resonators and new Tower of Adversity rotations change which teams clear fastest. The top-tier names today will likely stay useful for a long time, but the exact order will change again once Version 3.8 settles in.
