You collect Thousandfold Petals, offer them at three altars and earn the trust of the Nexus Fox Shadow, who then starts helping you in combat. What Is Blooms for the Shadow?

Blooms for the Shadow arrived with Version 3.7 on September 30, 2026, and it has no end date. It is a relaxed exploration event built around the Heart of Appearance, where you restore three altars by offering petals you find around the world.

Because it is permanent, you can work on it whenever you explore, without worrying about a deadline.

How to Unlock Blooms for the Shadow

1. Progress through Chapter 4, Act 4 (Simulacrum of the Heart) until you meet the Nexus Fox Shadow in Mengxuan Vale

   

2. Open the message from an Unknown Sender in WavesLine to start the quest

   

3. Travel to the Heart of Appearance in the southeast of the Simulacrum Nexus and complete Zhufeng's short tutorial

   

Once the tutorial is done, the altars and petal missions become available.

How Thousandfold Petals Work

Thousandfold Petals come from side quests, exploration quests, challenge domains and certain zones. There are three types, each tied to one altar:

• Bloom (green)
• Flames (red)
• Frost (blue)

Each petal also has a rarity, which decides how much Heart Realm Stability it adds:

• Gold: 800 Stability
• Purple: 500 Stability
• Blue: 200 Stability

Missions grouped under each altar point you toward more petals, usually by collecting target tokens in quests, anomaly zones and specific locations.

The Three Altars and Their Effects

Offering petals at a Heart Calmer altar raises its level from 1 to 4 and changes the area around it. At Level 1:

• Heart of Bloom: removes anomalies and increases Shell Credit drops by 20%
• Heart of Flames: increases Echo drops by 20%
• Heart of Frost: increases enemy material drops by 20%

At Level 4, you can keep donating petals, and every 100 Stability turns into extra Shell Credits.

Fox Shadow Trust and Combat Help

Your total Heart Realm Stability decides how much the Nexus Fox Shadow trusts you:

• Indifferent: below 5,000
• Curious: 5,000 to 12,199
• Appreciative: 12,199 to 21,999
• Trusting: 22,000 and above

As trust grows, the Fox Shadow helps you in Treasures of Perilous Enclave, Tacet Discord Nests and Censure Lock Crisis. At higher trust levels, her large-range attacks appear more often, and at the start of Censure Lock Crisis, her attack scales from 10% to 30% of the targets' max HP.

That makes reaching Trusting worth it even after you have claimed the Astrite, since the extra damage speeds up content you repeat often.

Every Blooms for the Shadow Reward

Altar Level Rewards (for each of the three altars)

• Level 1: 30 Astrite, plus Advanced Resonance Potions or Shell Credits (Flames) and Lahai-Roi Forgery Advanced Supplies (Bloom and Frost)
• Level 2: 30 Astrite, 5 Advanced Energy Cores, plus Lahai-Roi Supplies or Shell Credits (Flames)
• Level 3: 2 Lustrous Tides, 5 Advanced Sealed Tubes, plus Lahai-Roi Supplies or Shell Credits (Flames)
• Level 4: 2,000 Shell Credits

Stability Milestone Rewards

• 5,000 Stability: 60 Astrite, 50 Premium Tuners and the "Fox Shadow at Sunset" reward
• 12,000 Stability: 80 Astrite, 4 Lustrous Tides and 50 Premium Tuners
• 22,000 Stability: 80 Astrite, 2 Echo Modifiers and the Phantom: Smolder reward

Adding the altar and milestone rewards together gives about 400 Astrite and 10 Lustrous Tides, which is enough for several extra pulls on the current banners.

Tips for Finishing Faster

• Prioritize Gold petals. One Gold petal is worth four Blue ones in Stability.
• Level all three altars to at least Level 2. That alone unlocks 180 Astrite from the altars.
• Pick the altar effect you need. Push Flames first if you are farming Echoes, or Frost if you need enemy materials for ascension.
• Do the altar missions while exploring. They point you to petals you might otherwise miss.
• Aim for Trusting. The Fox Shadow's combat help keeps paying off in Tacet Discord Nests and Censure Lock Crisis long after the rewards are claimed.
