7DS Grand Cross Rank Up Guide: Efficient Ways to Climb

In The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, you climb fastest by raising three ladders in the right order: your account User Rank for stamina and features, each core hero's Combat Class for raw power, and your PvP tier for competitive rewards. Get those moving together and everything else in the game opens up. The rest of this guide breaks each ladder into the specific content that feeds it, the daily habits that compound, and a weekly routine that keeps all three rising without wasting a single point of stamina. It is worth reading 7DS Grand Cross Race Teams Explained alongside this.

Every ladder here runs on materials, and the routing plan behind them lives in our 7DS Grand Cross farming guide, which covers stamina, awakening materials, and the daily reset chores that feed this climb.

What does "ranking up" actually mean in Grand Cross?

Ranking up covers three separate ladders that players lump together: your account User Rank, which unlocks stamina and features; each hero's power, measured as Combat Class; and your PvP tier, from Bronze up to Champion. Climbing efficiently means feeding all three at once rather than chasing one.

The reason the distinction matters is that each ladder is fed by different content, so a plan that only levels heroes will stall your account, and a plan that only farms stamina will leave you outmatched in PvP. Your User Rank is the account-wide level that raises your stamina ceiling and friend list and gates features such as Artifacts. Combat Class, usually shortened to CC, is the single number that sums a hero's level, gear, awakening, and cosmetics into a power score. PvP tier is your competitive standing in the arena, which rewards you weekly and cares only about how your team performs against other players. Because these three rise from different sources, the efficient climber treats them as one connected project: farm stamina into hero power, turn hero power into PvP wins, and let the User Rank tick upward from the same runs that do everything else.

How do you raise your account User Rank the fastest?

Push the main story quest first, because it is the single largest source of account experience, then convert stamina into experience by running the highest-cost stages you can clear, ideally during half-stamina periods. Every point of stamina you spend returns battle experience, so the account levels as a byproduct of farming.

According to Netmarble's in-game guidance, main quest completion is the biggest experience payout available, so clearing story chapters as far as your roster allows is the correct opening move for any new or returning account. After the story, the mechanic to understand is that battle experience earned equals stamina spent, which means high-stamina stages run repeatedly level you faster than cheap ones farmed many times. The efficient way to burn that stamina without babysitting it is to set Auto Repeat to No Restriction and enable the Stamina Recovery Potion option, which lets a session grind a chosen stage and automatically drink potions when stamina empties. Fort Solgres is the standing recommendation for experience potions and Enhance materials, and its stamina cost is halved on weekends, so timing your heaviest farming for a half-stamina window stretches the same potions and refreshes noticeably further. Each User Rank you gain raises your maximum stamina, which in turn funds more farming, so the ladder pays for its own next rung.

How do you make individual heroes stronger?

Combat Class rises from five levers stacked on your core team: hero level, Limit Break, Awakening, gear, and registered cosmetics. Take your main units to level 60 first, then raise their max level through Limit Break, awaken them toward six stars, and fill out gear and costumes so every stat the game counts is switched on.

Start with level, since a hero capped at 60 and beyond through Limit Break is the foundation everything else multiplies. Limit Break uses demon horns and similar materials farmed from Death Matches to raise a hero's level ceiling, which is why Death Match becomes a weekly staple the moment you have a team that can clear it. Awakening then adds stars for large stat jumps, and endgame accounts continue through Super Awakening, which takes a hero from six stars up to twelve using Hero Coins or Super Awakening Coins earned in the Tower of Trials and Hawk's Pass. Community guides recommend bringing a hero to at least Ultimate Move level four before Super Awakening so you spend fewer progression points reaching the top. Gear is the next lever: for a damage unit, favor attack and critical-damage main stats, place SSR gear on the left-side slots because upgrading those returns roughly double the main stat, use cheaper C or R gear on the right side for sub-stats, and awaken your ring and orb to five stars. Finally, cosmetics are not decoration here; you can register up to five outfits, weapons, and cosmetic items per hero, and those stats count fully, which is why a complete wardrobe is a real power source rather than a vanity project. For the detail behind that, see Demonic Beast Guide Bosses, Rewards and Teams.

Gear enhancement and evolution both burn gold faster than most players expect, so pair this with our 7DS Grand Cross gold farming guide to keep the upgrade budget from stalling your climb.

How do you climb the Ungeared PvP ranks efficiently?

Climb Ungeared PvP by maximizing the stats it actually reads, then pushing tiers from Bronze up toward Champion. Ungeared arena, the Normal mode, ignores your gear but fully counts hero level, Awakening, Limit Break, and your registered wardrobe, so investment in those cosmetics translates directly into arena power. If you would rather hand that climb to a verified player instead of grinding it yourself, our rank boosting guide explains exactly how that service works.

The ladder runs from Bronze 5 through Champion 1, and at the lower tiers you are often matched against bots, which makes the early climb quick once your core team is built. Because Ungeared PvP applies your full wardrobe of costumes, weapons, and cosmetic items, the highest-leverage preparation is registering five of each on your arena team rather than hunting for gear you cannot use here. Reaching Gold tier in Ungeared unlocks Elite, the Geared arena, so Gold is a meaningful checkpoint rather than just another step. From there, a practical target is Champion 5, which is the standing goal most veterans point new players toward for the reward tier it sits in. A useful quirk to plan around is that once you settle into a tier such as Gold 5, you rarely fall below it unless you stop playing or lose repeatedly, so each tier you lock in is effectively banked. That stability is why a short, focused push when your team is freshly upgraded is worth more than scattered daily attempts. Once you clear Gold and unlock the geared Elite bracket, the rules change again; our Geared PvP guide covers promotion, demotion and defense-team priorities once equipment stats are counted.

How do stamina and daily habits keep the climb moving?

Daily and weekly chores are the quiet engine of every ladder, because they hand out the experience potions, Enhance materials, keys, and currencies that upgrades consume. Clearing daily quests, spending Golden Keys, and hitting the weekly arena reset each contribute rewards that compound, so attendance matters more than raw skill.

The connective idea is that the same stamina you spend leveling your account also drops the materials your heroes need, so a disciplined daily loop advances all three ladders at once. Daily quests and Golden Keys reward simply showing up and clearing set content, which means every skipped day is measured in missed potions and materials rather than lost skill. The weekly PvP reset works the same way, since Ungeared arena resets on Netmarble's schedule and pays out based on the tier you hold at the cutoff, rewarding a climb you actually finish before the week turns over. Stamina refills on a timer whether or not you use it, so any hour your bar sits full is wasted potential; the efficient habit is to open a No Restriction farming session before you step away so the account keeps converting stamina into progress. Stack these routines and the account gains User Rank, hero materials, and arena standing from one connected rotation instead of three separate grinds.

If any of the systems above are unfamiliar, the 7DS Grand Cross beginner's guide to heroes, Diamonds and teams explains the fundamentals this climbing routine builds on.

What endgame content should you climb toward next?

Once your core team clears standard content, aim your climb at Death Match, Demonic Beast, and Artifacts, because these are where the strongest, most permanent power gains live. Death Match feeds Limit Break, Demonic Beast supplies Holy Relics, and Artifacts unlock account-wide stat bonuses at User Rank 40.

Death Match is real-time cooperative content where you clear raids for the demon horns and materials that Limit Break needs, which is why it sits at the center of the hero-power ladder. Demonic Beast Battle is the harder endgame track and the main source of Holy Relic materials, which grant special effects and extra stats to registered heroes; it currently features five demonic beasts, most with three floors, while Hraesvelgr adds a fourth floor that yields Holy Relic upgrade materials instead. Its bosses carry random passive abilities that accumulate floor by floor, so each phase demands a more complete roster than the last, making Demonic Beast a long-term goal you grow into rather than rush. The current ceiling is the Transcendent Demonic Beast fourth floor, Skoll and Hati, which unlocks only after clearing Chapter 13 and finishing Floor 3 of the Twilight Temple, so it doubles as a checklist for how far your account has climbed. Alongside these, Artifacts become available at User Rank 40 and add Combat Class individually plus set effects when fully equipped, which is a direct reminder that pushing your account rank and pushing hero power are the same project seen from two angles.

What does an efficient weekly climbing routine look like?

Front-load the story and any half-stamina window for account experience, run Death Match and Demonic Beast for hero materials midweek, finish your PvP push before the weekly reset, and keep a No Restriction session farming whenever you are away. That one rotation feeds all three ladders without wasted stamina.

In practice the week has a natural shape. Early on, clear whatever main quest you can reach for the large experience payout, and if a half-stamina weekend such as a Fort Solgres event is live, that is the window to burn your heaviest farming and any stored refreshes. Through the middle of the week, prioritize Death Match for Limit Break horns and Demonic Beast floors for Holy Relics, since those are the upgrades that raise Combat Class the most per run. Reserve a focused arena push for when your team is freshly upgraded, and make sure it lands before the Ungeared reset so you bank the highest tier you can hold. Underneath all of it, a No Restriction Auto Repeat session with potion use enabled should be running whenever you close the game, converting idle stamina into experience and materials. The mistake to avoid is treating these as four errands; sequenced this way they are one loop, where the account experience, the hero materials, and the arena standing all come out of the same stamina you were going to spend anyway.

Common questions about ranking up in Grand Cross

Should I raise my User Rank or my heroes' Combat Class first? Do both from the same runs, but let the main story lead early because it pays the most account experience and unlocks features. Your heroes gain levels and materials from the same stages, so the account rank and hero power rise together rather than competing.

How high should I aim in Ungeared PvP? Gold tier is the first real checkpoint because it unlocks the Geared arena, and Champion 5 is the standing goal most players point to for its reward tier. Since you rarely drop below a tier once you settle into it, each level you reach is effectively locked in.

Does spending stamina really level my account faster? Yes. Battle experience earned equals stamina spent, so running high-cost stages repeatedly levels your User Rank faster than farming cheap stages many times. Timing that spend for a half-stamina window, and letting Auto Repeat drink potions automatically, stretches every point further.

Do costumes actually matter for climbing? They do, especially in Ungeared PvP, which reads your full wardrobe. You can register five outfits, weapons, and cosmetic items per hero, and those stats count in full, so a complete wardrobe is one of the cheaper ways to raise a hero's arena power.
