7DS Origin Version 2.1: Khala, Ferzen Mines & New Ranking Season
By Michael Pras 17 September 2026, 14:00 WIB
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin's Version 2.1 went live after the September 17 maintenance, and Netmarble packed it with a new SSR hero, a new endgame raid, a full guild-hall system, and a competitive ranking season — on top of the usual wave of banners and login events. Most of the version's content runs through October 8, so here's what actually matters and what's worth prioritizing first.
Khala Joins the Roster
The new SSR hero, Khala, arrives through the "Ravens's Thief of Honor" banner, with drop rates boosted specifically for her during the event window. She's built around Dual Swords, Nunchaku, and Gauntlets as her weapon options, giving her the same multi-weapon flexibility Netmarble has used for recent Origin releases.
Alongside her banner, an exclusive skin event, "A Belief Called Honor," offers her Outfit Skin "A Grand Thief's Dignity" and Weapon Skin "Python Fangs" (equippable as Dual Swords), with every reward in that track guaranteed within 10 draws — the first draw free, and paid draws afterward using Exclusive Skin Draw Tickets. A dedicated Trial Event also lets you test a fully upgraded Khala with only cosmetics applied, so you can check her kit before committing draw currency.
Selective Pick Up: Choose Between Merlin, Elizabeth, or Daisy
Rather than a single rerun banner, "Stargazer Invitation" lets you pick one of Merlin, Elizabeth, or Daisy as your Pick Up hero, with the other two removed from the pool once you choose. You can change your pick at any time without losing progress — your accumulated draw count and 120th Draw Bonus gauge carry over regardless of which hero is currently selected.
That 120-draw guarantee is worth understanding on its own: once you hit 120 draws, you get to choose and obtain any one of the three heroes as a one-time guaranteed reward, independent of whichever hero you had set as your active pick. Each of the three also has its own exclusive skin event running the same window (Merlin's "Sacred Treasure: Morning Star Aldan," Elizabeth's "The Resonance of a Noble Heart," and Daisy's "The Fresh Scent of Autumn"), and if you drew in any of these skin events during a previous run, your progress carries over rather than resetting.
New Raid: Ferzen Mines
Version 2.1 opens Ferzen Mines, a new raid with Nightmare, Hell, and Abyss difficulties, unlocked after completing Main Quest Act 14 - Episode 49, "A Common Goal." Mystic Keys reset with this maintenance to make room for it.
- Abyss first-time clear: 1,000 Star Fragments and Mystic Tokens (once per account)
- Elite and Boss clears: 500 Star Fragments and the new equipment piece "「Abyssal」 Predator"
- Pledge system (Abyss only): meeting your selected Pledge conditions grants bonus Mystic Tokens and widens the Quality range on dropped equipment — the underlying drop rate itself doesn't change
Knighthood Headquarters and Decorating
Guilds get a real gathering space with the new Knighthood Headquarters, accessible either through the Knighthood menu or by talking to the NPC Haro in the Capital of Liones' East District. Captains and Vice Captains can decorate the space through Haro using items crafted from Knighthood Donation contributions — members donate designated items and earn up to 30 Knighthood Coins per week for doing so, though donated items belong to the guild permanently and can't be reclaimed if you leave.
Some decoration items unlock genuine gameplay value beyond cosmetics, including Knighthood Boss Battle Training access, Dish bonuses, and unlockable Marks and Banners.
Ranking Season 5 and Timespace Junction
"To the Top: Ranking Season 5" runs the same window as the rest of the version, covering leaderboards for two content types:
- Boss Challenge: Transcendence-difficulty "「Corrupted」 Ancient Dragon" — also newly unlocked this version, though only for this boss until after October 8, when Transcendence opens for other content
- Timespace Junction: Season 2, Sectors 3 and 4 — Sector 3 unlocks September 23, Sector 4 follows a week later on September 30
Clearing the Ancient Dragon on Transcendence in solo play, regardless of rank, earns everyone the same Boss Challenge Leaderboard reward — a more accessible structure than a pure top-rank-only payout.
Hawk Pass Season V and Replay Story
Hawk Pass Season V begins with this update, resetting existing Hawk Pass products and levels. As usual, Plus and Premium tiers unlock additional reward tracks on top of the free path, with bonus rewards sent immediately to mailbox upon purchase.
A genuinely new feature this version is Replay Story, letting you revisit completed Main Quests and Memory of Dimensions quests from the Story tab. It also adds a comment system — you can leave, edit, delete, and like comments on individual story chapters, visible to all players, which is a first for how Origin handles its narrative content.
Quality-of-Life Improvements Worth Knowing
A handful of smaller changes add up to real convenience:
- Preview Hero lets you check a hero's Potential, Skins, and basic info from the Hero Pick Up screen before drawing, via a magnifying-glass icon next to their name.
- Try Hero jumps straight to a hero's Trial Event from that same screen.
- Combat View Assist, a new Settings toggle, adds transparency to combat effects from any source — yours, allies, summons, or enemies — for better visibility in chaotic fights.
- Quest skip is now available on certain Main Quests, with a pop-up prompt if you fail a skippable quest enough times; in party play, a skip only goes through once every member accepts it.
- Raid "Taranis's Sanctuary" Abyss Pledge requirements were loosened — the "4 Cold heroes" and "4 Wind heroes" clears now need only 3 heroes, and the 5-player party clear now accepts 3 or more.
Events and Bundles Worth Knowing
Side content running now:
- Vanya Village Ale Festival — story event with a minigame for Empty Mugs
- Conqueror's Path — raid missions that end in free Hero Pick Up Draw Tickets
- Lucky Snatch II — the returning Star Fragment gamble event
Starting September 23:
- A 14-day check-in event
- A six-day "Swiftest Showdown" time attack challenge
- The "Koo and the Two Fools" story event
Shop changes worth noting:
- Five new Half-Anniversary bundles added
- A new Step Up Shop with a 7-step product ladder
- Exchange Shop: Khala's and Jericho's Potential Points added; Ban's and Elaine's removed after this maintenance
- Cube Keys restructured: the old "5 Cube Keys" product is now "20 Cube Keys," priced at 120 Star Trace Fragments (up from 30), with a weekly limit of 8 purchases replacing the old 6-week reset
How to Prepare
- Decide on your Selective Pick Up hero early, but don't stress over the choice — your 120-draw guarantee applies to all three regardless of which one is currently active.
- Check your Pledge loadout before Ferzen Mines Abyss runs. The Quality-range bonus is free value if you're already meeting the conditions.
- Spend down old Cube Key stock before the pricing change fully settles in, since the new 120-fragment cost for 20 keys is a different value proposition than the old system.
- Don't skip the September 23 content wave. The check-in event, Swiftest Showdown, and Sector 3 unlock all start together, and none of it carries over if missed.
