7DS Origin 2.2 Update Guide: Lancelot, Chaos Keys and Free SSR Hero
By Sir Ayup 9 October 2026, 05:00 WIB
7DS Origin Version 2.2, titled The Silent Village and the Guardian of Water, goes live after maintenance on October 8, 2026, and it is one of the busiest updates of the year. At gamemarket.gg, we went through the full official update details: a new SSR hero in Lancelot with his own Pick Up, Main Quest Act 17 and the new region of Cordin Village, tougher Draco King Drake difficulties, Ranking Season 6, a reworked Timespace Junction, a free hero selector inside Daily Missions and a major change to Raid keys. Here is what is new, what ends and what to prioritise once the servers are back.
Maintenance Schedule and Compensation
The Version 2.2 maintenance runs on October 8 from 02:00 to 09:00 UTC. Every player receives 300 Star Fragments as maintenance compensation.
Players affected by issues in Leaderboard Regular Season 5 get a separate compensation:
- General participation: 1,000 Star Fragments
- Timespace Junction Sector 3: 20 Laurel of Glory
- Timespace Junction Sector 4: 20 Laurel of Glory
It only goes to players who took part in Sectors 3 and 4 before the October 8 maintenance, and it can be claimed from the mailbox until October 28 at 14:59 UTC.
Lancelot: Weapons and How to Get Him

Lancelot joins as an SSR hero, the son of Ban and Elaine and one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. Like other heroes in Origin, he comes with several weapons, and each one gives him a different role:
- Staff: Attacker, Holy element
- Longsword: Attacker, Physical element
- Gauntlets: Support, Earth element
That spread is the most useful detail for team planning. Two of his three weapons make him a damage dealer, while the Gauntlets turn him into a support, so he can fill different slots depending on what your team is missing.
He is obtained from the Lancelot Pick Up: Heart-Piercing Eyes, which runs from the October 8 maintenance until the October 28 maintenance. The banner raises Lancelot's drop rate and uses Hero Pick Up Draw Tickets.
Before spending, try him first. The Hero Lancelot Trial Event lets you play a fully upgraded Lancelot, with only outfit and weapon skins applied, and clearing the challenge rewards Star Fragments and Supreme Mastery EXP. His full skill breakdown deserves its own guide, but the trial is the fastest way to see whether his playstyle suits you.
Lancelot's Skins and Growth Bundles

The Exclusive Skin event, For What We Hold Dear, runs on the same dates. Its top reward is Guardian's Resolve, an outfit skin for Lancelot, and it also includes the Night Bleed weapon skin, which he can equip as a Staff.
The key detail is the cap: every reward, including both skins, is guaranteed within 10 draws. The first draw is free, and later draws use Exclusive Skin Draw Tickets. Skins only change appearance and do not affect stats or skills.
The Lancelot Growth Mission Bundles I and II are also available until October 28, but only after you obtain Lancelot. They add growth materials for completing missions with him across General and Fine tabs.
Elaine Pick Up Runs Alongside

Lancelot is not the only Pick Up. Elaine Pick Up: Whisper of the Autumn Gale runs on the same October 8 to October 28 window and also uses Hero Pick Up Draw Tickets.
That puts mother and son on separate banners that share the same ticket type. Decide which one fills a real gap on your team before splitting tickets between them.
Elaine also appears in a much cheaper place this update, the new hero selector in Daily Missions, which changes the calculation for anyone who mainly wanted her.
Daily Missions Now Give a Free SSR Hero

The Daily Missions revamp is the change that helps every account. The region for your Daily Missions is now chosen at random each day, and the missions feed a new Recruitment system:
- Every 5 Search Clues from Daily Missions unlock 1 Recruitment Clue.
- Collect 7 Recruitment Clues to pick 1 SSR hero from a pool of eight.
The available heroes are Mannie, King, Diane, Drake, Guila, Jericho, Elaine and Daisy. You can choose your target in advance and change it at any time. Once you hold 7 Recruitment Clues, you stop earning Search Clues until you claim a hero, so claim promptly.
This is the reason to think twice before pulling for Elaine on her banner. If she is the only reason you would spend, the Recruitment system offers a slower but free route. Players who prefer a flexible hero instead can look at Daisy, whose best weapons and roles make her useful in several team setups.
Daily Mission rewards improve as well. More Cube Keys drop from regional Daily Missions, Premium Enhancement Stones become Special Enhancement Stones, and Premium Refinement Stones become Special Refinement Stones. A new shortcut also takes you straight to the Seal Merchant for your current mission region.
Main Quest Act 17 and Cordin Village

The story continues in Main Quest Act 17, The Silent Village and the Guardian of Water, which opens the new region of Cordin Village. The region also brings new gathering, including Ice Strawberries for the new dish Ice Strawberry Cream Cake, which restores HP and raises the whole team's Cold Attack for 600 seconds.
The update also adds two new capturable pets, four new achievements tied to pet capture, the main quest and Lancelot, and a new main quest title.
Draco King Drake and New Crafting

Boss Challenge Draco King Drake gains Hell, Abyss and Transcendence difficulties. They unlock in order in solo play, and the new difficulties drop the Observer of "Truth" armor set, used as materials for Engraved Equipment.
Note the timing on the hardest tier. Transcendence for Draco King Drake ends after the October 28 maintenance, after which Transcendence moves to other content.
New crafting recipes arrive too:
- Brilliant Engraving Seal
- Observer of "Truth" armor: Top, Bottoms, Belt and Combat Boots
- Indomitable Guard weapons for every weapon type, plus the Gluttonous Soul Staff
SR and SSR Engraved Equipment can now be salvaged: SR gives Engraving Seal Fragments, the new material for Brilliant Engraving Seals, and SSR gives Transcendence Refinement Stones.
Ranking Season 6 and the New Timespace Junction

Ranking Season 6, To the Top, runs from October 8 to October 28. Its leaderboards cover:
- Draco King Drake on Transcendence
- Timespace Junction Season 2, Sectors 5 and 6
- Timespace Junction: Extra Season 1, Sectors 1 to 12
Existing clear records reset at the start of the season, and party clears do not count toward the leaderboards. Every player who takes part receives 10 Laurels of Glory after the season, regardless of rank.
Timespace Junction itself is now split into three difficulties:
- Normal: same difficulty as before, with first clear and mission rewards but no leaderboard.
- Ranked: a race for the fastest clear in each Sector, with no first clear rewards.
- Extra: clear Sectors in order and push as far as possible. Each hero has a limited number of uses, and you can reset your progress up to 99 times per season. Recommended heroes get extra uses.
Sectors unlock on a schedule: Extra Sectors 1 to 12 on October 8, Sector 5 on October 14 and Sector 6 on October 21, both at 07:00 UTC.
Raid Keys and Rewards Change

Raid players get one of the most practical changes in the update. Mystic Keys are no longer required for Nightmare and Hell Raids. Instead, a new Chaos Key is bought from the Raid Exchange Shop with Cube Keys, up to 2 per week, resetting every Monday at 07:00 UTC. Mystic Keys move to the same shop for Star Fragments.
The Weekly Reward can be claimed up to 2 times per week using either key, and it is the only source of Mystic Tokens, SSR Magic Crystal Shards and Element Spell Bead Selection Chests. As a bonus, Abyss difficulty adds 500 Star Fragments to its Boss Clear Reward until Version 2.3.
In Ferzen Mines, the Final Boss now has lower HP and Attack in parties of 2 to 5 players, which makes group clears easier.
All region-specific seals also merge into one Kingdom of Liones Seal, usable at Seal Merchants in every region, so existing seals from Fairy King's Forest, Ferzen, Oasis Village, Vanya and Official Ravens are combined automatically.
New Events

Several events launch alongside the update:
- Update Celebration Check-In: runs until November 18. Pick one of two rewards each day for 14 days, and completing all 14 days also grants every reward you did not choose.
- Draw Bingo: use Bingo Tickets from missions to draw numbers and complete lines. Duplicates give Chance Coins, and 3 Chance Coins buy a number of your choice. Rewards include Star Fragments and the weapon skins Zephyr's Echo (Rapier) and Luminous Scale (Staff).
- A Joyful Moment, Cube Unboxing: spending Cube Keys progresses missions that reward Cube Keys, Regular Hero Draw Tickets and Transcendence Engraving and Refinement Stones, plus a final completion reward.
- Hunting Event, Chaos That Devours the Desert: starts October 14 and runs to November 4. Defeat the Sandsea Predator Kalbash in Dalmally for Golden Sand Tokens. It requires clearing Main Quest Act 12 Episode 15, and it opens the event dungeon The Hermit Beneath the Sand, an Abyss-only fight for 10 to 15 players, with two Desert Keeper's Keys per day for its Reward Cubes.
Shop Changes and Mobile Improvements
In the Exchange Shop, the Special Weapon Crafting Blueprint limit rises from once to three times, but the Star Trace Crystalloid cost increases with each purchase. The first one is the best value. New products include Clotho's Supply Cart, a 28-day daily reward pass that stacks up to 180 days, along with skin and weapon crafting bundles.
Mobile players get an Ultimate Move Tag button that tags in a hero and fires their Ultimate in one tap, easier aiming for Adventure Skills and camera rotation while holding a skill button.
What Ended With the Maintenance
These items from Version 2.1 ended with the October 8 maintenance:
- Khala Pick Up, her exclusive skin and the Hero Khala Trial Event
- Selective Pick Up: Stargazer Invitation
- Exclusive skins for Merlin, Elizabeth and Daisy
Players who skipped Khala during the Version 2.1 update will need to wait for a rerun.
Your Version 2.2 Checklist
- Claim compensation: collect your 300 Star Fragments, plus the Leaderboard compensation if eligible, before October 28.
- Try Lancelot first: play the fully upgraded version in his Trial Event before pulling.
- Choose between Pick Ups: Lancelot and Elaine share Hero Pick Up Draw Tickets, so pick one priority.
- Set your Recruitment target: choose an SSR in Daily Missions now and claim it as soon as you reach 7 Recruitment Clues.
- Use the free skin draw: For What We Hold Dear gives one free draw and guarantees everything within 10.
- Switch to Chaos Keys: buy your 2 weekly Chaos Keys with Cube Keys and farm Abyss for the bonus 500 Star Fragments.
- Mark October 14: the desert Hunting Event and Timespace Junction Sector 5 both open that day.
- Finish before October 28: the Pick Ups, skin event, Ranking Season 6 and Draco's Transcendence tier all end then.
Version 2.2 gives every account something useful, even without spending: a free SSR through Daily Missions, cheaper Raid access through Chaos Keys and better daily materials. Lancelot is the headline, but the system changes are what will shape most players' next few weeks.
