Dominate the Sands: Complete NTE Volley Star Guide, Rules & Rewards
Ready to spike your way to glory on the sands of Starfall Bay? The sun-soaked courts of Neverness to Everness have arrived with the debut of NTE Volley Star in Version 1.3. Whether you are aiming for full stars across the Rookie Series, chasing Weekly Match championship prestige, or grinding for limited-time Annulith before the event window closes, mastering the sands requires sharp timing, coordinated duos, and smart stat scaling.
Here is your complete guide to unlocking the court, mastering the rules, upgrading your athletes, and securing every reward without frustration.
What Is NTE Volley Star and How to Unlock It
Volley Star is a dynamic 2v2 beach volleyball mode set in the picturesque Starfall Bay area within the Duskmoor district. Matches pit your duo against another team in a fast-paced race to 7 points. While the activity debuts alongside high-value limited-time rewards, it permanently joins the roster of Hethereau Hobbies ensuring you can jump into casual and ranked matches at any time.
How to Unlock:
-
Travel to the Starfall Bay beach within Duskmoor.
-
Speak with the supervisor NPC (Uncle Lon).
-
Check your incoming messages from Mint.
-
Complete the brief dialogue chain with Mint to open court access.
-
Spend City Stamina to enter matches and begin your climb.
Core Match Rules & Scoring Flow
The rules closely mirror competitive beach volleyball to keep gameplay fast and tactical:
-
Victory Condition: The first team to reach 7 points wins the match.
-
Touch Limit: Each side has a maximum of three touches to return the ball over the net.
-
Block Mechanics: A block counts as one of the three touches, enabling rapid return chains (Block → Receive → Spike).
-
Boundaries: Landing outside the court lines or failing to return the ball awards the point directly to the opponent.
-
Control Fundamentals: Utilize dedicated controls for Serve, Pass, Spike, Block, Dig, and Receive. Third-person or vertical-court perspectives provide the best depth perception for tracking ball trajectories.
Game Modes: Rookie Series vs Weekly Matches
Rookie Series (PvE Progression)
The foundation of your volleyball journey. Clear stages against NPC teams under specific challenge conditions (such as winning without conceding points or executing specific move combos). Earning stars grants Star Powers, which trade directly for Talent Bread to upgrade character stats.
Weekly Match (Competitive Tournament)
A bracket-style tournament featuring group stages and elimination rounds. Placements award massive Fons payouts and bonus Talent Bread for champions. City Stamina is required to enter, and excess play converts into additional Fons via the Tycoon Incentive Fund (shared bi-weekly limit of 1,000,000 Fons).

Character Stats, Talent Bread & Best Pairings
Each character possesses six primary performance attributes: Serve, Spike, Pass, Receive, Block, and Dig.
-
How to Upgrade: Earn Star Powers in the Rookie Series, exchange them for Talent Bread in the Tournament Rewards menu, then apply upgrades via Player Profiles → Character → Stat Selection.
-
Stat Priority: Focus heavily on Spike first for unblockable offensive power, followed by Serve and Receive for consistent court control.
-
Recommended Starter Duo: Pair the versatile Protagonist (focused on offensive spiking) with Mint (allocated to digs, blocks, and stable sets).
Pro Tips for Court Domination
-
Adjust the Camera: Switch to the vertical-court angle (Z key on PC) for significantly better judgment of ball depth and landing zones.
-
Master Visual Timing: Jump serves yield maximum power when striking at the absolute peak of the jump animation. For spikes, strike when the character's back arches and legs bend to roughly 90 degrees.
-
Positioning Discipline: Hold ground near the back-center line to easily field deep serves and fast spikes, leaving front-line blocks to your AI teammate.
-
Slide & Recover: After executing a diving receive, instantly press the spike or pass input to save difficult rallies.
-
Efficient Leveling: Experience gain is static (100 EXP on win, 50 EXP on loss). Farm lower-tier Rookie Series stages rapidly to level four characters to Level 15 for bonus event missions.
