HSR 4.6 Love, Ghosts & Robots: Event Guide & Rewards
By Sir Ayup 5 October 2026, 10:00 WIB
Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 Love, Ghosts & Robots is the version's flagship event, a mechatron workshop puzzle running until November 11, 2026, and the most important thing to know is what disappears when it ends. The event itself is not going anywhere: it moves to Conventional Memoir afterwards, so you can replay it at any time. Its limited-time rewards and four event achievements, however, are only available during the version. So the smart way to approach it is to prioritise everything time-limited first, clear every Star Rating Assessment and achievement before November 11, and leave the relaxed replaying for later. This guide covers how to unlock the event, how the chip puzzle works, how to progress the workshop, and every reward worth collecting.
Event Schedule and Unlock Requirements

Love, Ghosts & Robots launched with Version 4.6, "Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise," on September 28, 2026. Here are the key details:
- Duration: after the Version 4.6 update until November 11, 2026, at 03:59 (UTC+8).
- Requirement: reach Trailblaze Level 21.
- Recommended: complete the Trailblaze Mission "Astropolis - Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise" and unlock the Life Sciences Institute first.
- After the event: it moves to Conventional Memoir, where the gameplay stays available permanently.
The story recommendation matters because the event is tied to the new Life Sciences Institute area. Completing the Trailblaze Mission first means the event's story makes sense in context. If you have not reached that part of the story yet, the event can also be accessed early through Finality's Vision, so you are not locked out of the limited-time rewards.
Once the limited window ends, you can still visit the Life Sciences Institute map to play the event and earn its permanent rewards, but the limited-time rewards will no longer be obtainable. That split is what should shape your priorities from day one.
What the Event Is About

Before getting into the puzzle, it helps to understand the setup, because the story explains why the workshop has targets to hit.
In Love, Ghosts & Robots, the Trailblazer helps the resurrected Skott run a mechatron workshop, assembling and selling mechatrons to gradually build the workshop into a project with a five-star rating. Skott needs the workshop to meet a series of quotas so he can turn down an unwanted marriage proposal, which gives the event a lighter, comedic tone compared with the main story.
The event name is a nod to the animated series Love, Death & Robots, and it fits the version's broader setting in Astropolis. If you want a full overview of everything else arriving in the version, our Version 4.6 preview covers Pearl, the reruns and the new story.
How the Chip Puzzle Works

With the setup in place, the core of the event is a puzzle, and understanding its rules makes every later step easier.
Each mechatron is built by installing chips onto a motherboard. The board is a grid, and each chip has a different shape. Your job is to fill the grid without overlapping any shapes, while building a machine that satisfies the requirements of the order you selected.
Every order begins with a choice. Before building, look at the available orders and compare their rewards and requirements. Because each order asks for different results, choosing the right one first saves time, since you can build toward a clear target instead of adjusting after the fact.
A few habits help with grid puzzles of this kind:
- Read the requirements first: know which stats or results the order needs before placing anything.
- Place awkward shapes early: large or irregular chips are harder to fit later, so finding space for them first usually leaves smaller chips easier to slot in.
- Do not fear resets: if a layout is not working, clearing it and starting again is often faster than forcing the last pieces into place.
The puzzle also feeds into a broader stat system. Your mechatron's stats can be raised to higher ranks, and one of the event's achievements asks you to upgrade two stats to S-rank at the same time. So as you get more comfortable with the grid, it is worth building with stat targets in mind rather than just filling the board.
Progressing the Workshop
Once the puzzle clicks, progression comes from three connected systems, and moving them forward together is what unlocks the event's rewards.
The first is the Star Rating Assessments. These are the milestones that move the workshop toward its five-star goal. Clearing them is required for two of the event's achievements, including the one for clearing every assessment, so they are the backbone of your progress.
The second is the Mechatron Design Level. Raising it reflects your overall progress with the workshop, and reaching Design Level 6 is one of the event's Nameless Honor goals.
The third is the Expert system. Expert abilities can be upgraded with Ghost Coins, the event's special currency. Since these abilities support your workshop, spending Ghost Coins on upgrades that help with your current assessment is usually the most efficient choice.
There is also an exhibition mechatron, which you can change. Changing it once is one of the event's achievements, so it is worth doing as soon as the option becomes available rather than leaving it for later.
Event Rewards

With the progression systems clear, here is what the event actually pays out. The event's reward pool includes:
- Stellar Jade
- Tracks of Destiny
- Self-Modeling Resin
- Refined Aether and Condensed Aether
- Lost Crystal
- Credit
- The Fluffy Serialization Memorial Issue
Tracks of Destiny and Self-Modeling Resin are the standout items. Tracks of Destiny are needed to level the highest trace upgrades and are hard to obtain, while Self-Modeling Resin lets you create a relic with the main stat you choose. Both are valuable to almost every account, which is another reason to finish the limited-time portion of the event before it closes.
The event also contributes to the Nameless Honor pass. Reaching Mechatron Design Level 6 and clearing 5 Assessment Stages each award 1,400 Nameless Honor EXP, which helps you level the pass and unlock its rewards.
If you are tracking every source of Stellar Jade this version, note that the headline 500-Jade reward in Version 4.6 comes from a different event. Our breakdown of the Wishpower event covers that one, and our F2P Stellar Jade guide for 4.6 totals up the free Jade available across the whole version.
The Four Event Achievements
Alongside the event rewards, Love, Ghosts & Robots has four achievements, and because they are tied to the limited-time event, they are the part most players risk missing.
- Pocket Warrior: change the exhibition mechatron once.
- Rise from the Ashes: clear the 2nd Star Rating Assessment.
- Extra Large: upgrade 2 stats of the mechatron to S-rank at the same time for the first time.
- Love is the Pulse of the Stars: clear all Star Rating Assessments.
Each achievement awards a small amount of Stellar Jade. Pocket Warrior and Rise from the Ashes come naturally as you progress, while Extra Large requires deliberate planning, since you need to raise two stats to S-rank together. Love is the Pulse of the Stars simply requires finishing every assessment, which is the same goal as completing the event's core progression.
Your Love, Ghosts & Robots Checklist
To collect everything before the limited window closes, follow this order:
- Unlock the event: reach Trailblaze Level 21, and ideally finish the 4.6 Trailblaze Mission first, or use Finality's Vision to enter early.
- Change the exhibition mechatron: do this as soon as it is available to secure Pocket Warrior immediately.
- Pick orders deliberately: compare requirements and rewards before building, and work toward the next Star Rating Assessment.
- Spend Ghost Coins on useful Expert upgrades: focus on abilities that help with your current assessment.
- Plan the two S-rank stats: build specifically for Extra Large once you are comfortable with the grid.
- Finish before November 11: clear every Star Rating Assessment, reach Design Level 6 and claim all limited rewards before 03:59 (UTC+8).
The key idea is simple. Love, Ghosts & Robots will stay in the game through Conventional Memoir, but its limited rewards and achievements will not. Finish the time-limited parts first, and you can return to the workshop whenever you like without losing anything.
