Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 Planar Fissure Preview: Dates and Prep Guide

The Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 Planar Fissure event runs from October 12 to October 25, 2026, and it is the best window this version to farm Planar Ornaments at double the usual rate. At gamemarket.gg, we put together what you need before it starts: how the double rewards work, how many runs you can expect to double, how to stock up on Trailblaze Power and Immersifiers this weekend and which characters to farm for, including the Phase 2 banner arriving midway through the event.
When Planar Fissure Runs

- Start: October 12, 2026
- End: October 25, 2026
That gives you two weeks, starting just over two weeks into Version 4.6. Exact start and end times are usually confirmed in the in-game event notice, so check it on the first day.
The timing lines up well with the rest of the version. Phase 2 banners begin on October 21, so the final few days of Planar Fissure overlap with them. Garden of Plenty, which doubles Calyx rewards, follows from October 30 to November 11. Together, the two events give you a clear order: Ornaments first, then Calyx materials.
How Planar Fissure Works

Planar Fissure doubles the rewards from Planar Ornament Extraction, the mode where you farm Planar Sphere and Link Rope relics. Based on how the event has worked in previous versions:
- Each double-reward run gives twice the Planar Ornaments, plus bonus Credits and, if you have not reached the max Trailblaze Level, Trailblaze EXP.
- Each extraction costs 40 Trailblaze Power or one Immersifier, the same as normal.
- The Ornaments you get are always Planar Spheres or Link Ropes from the two sets tied to the World or domain you choose.
- Double rewards are limited. Recent runs gave 12 double-reward opportunities for the whole event, with the count not resetting daily. The exact cap for 4.6 will be confirmed in the event notice.
That last point changes how you should plan. Because the limit applies to the whole event rather than each day, you can spend your double rewards in a few big sessions instead of logging in daily to use them.
Requirements
To take part, you need World 3 of Simulated Universe unlocked. If you prefer to farm through Divergent Universe, you also need a save file from an Extrapolation run, plus the related adventure mission.
Most players past the early game already meet these conditions, but newer accounts should clear World 3 before October 12 so they do not lose any days.
How to Prepare Before October 12
The days before the event are the most important part of Planar Fissure. A few habits make a real difference:
- Store Immersifiers. Each one replaces 40 Trailblaze Power, so a healthy stock lets you use your double rewards without waiting for energy to refill. Our guide to the Deep Immersifier and when to craft more explains how to make the most of them.
- Do not overspend Trailblaze Power on Ornaments this week. Any Ornament run now gives half the rewards it would after October 12.
- Keep Fuel and Stellar Jade refreshes in reserve if you plan to refill Trailblaze Power during the event.
- Decide your target sets early. Knowing which Planar Ornament sets you need lets you pick the right World or domain immediately.
If you are short on Trailblaze Power, keeping up with daily training and weekly content also helps. Our breakdown of what resets each week in HSR covers where your resources come from.
Which Characters to Farm For

Planar Fissure is most valuable when you go in with a clear target. The 4.6 banners point to a few obvious choices.
Pearl is the version's headline character, and her banner runs through both phases. If you pulled her, Ornaments for her build should be a priority. Our Pearl build guide covers her recommended setup.
Mortenax Blade headlines Phase 2 from October 21, with his signature Light Cone Reforged in Hellfire. He is a Fire Nihility character whose kit scales with Max HP, so Planar Spheres and Link Ropes with HP-focused main stats matter for him. Since Phase 2 opens during the final days of Planar Fissure, planning to pull him means you can save part of your double-reward runs for his Ornaments.
If you are not pulling anyone this version, Planar Fissure is still a good time to upgrade Ornaments for your main teams, especially the characters you use in endgame modes.
How to Get the Most From Each Run
A few simple choices improve your results:
- Farm the domain that holds two sets you can use. Each run drops one of two sets, so a domain where both are useful wastes far fewer drops.
- Prioritise main stats over substats. A Planar Sphere with the right elemental DMG or HP% main stat matters more than perfect substats.
- Use your double rewards on fresh targets. Characters with no proper Ornaments yet benefit much more than those that only need small upgrades.
- Track your double-reward count. Once it runs out, extractions go back to normal rewards, even if the event is still running.
What Else Is Running During Planar Fissure
Several 4.6 events overlap with Planar Fissure, and some give resources that help you farm more:
- Love, Ghosts & Robots: the version's main event, running until November 11. Our Love, Ghosts & Robots event guide covers its rewards.
- Astral Imagea, Wishpower UP! Down with Voracity and Gift of Odyssey: all running until November 11.
- Interastral Peace Gala: One Take: starts on October 21.
Because most of these run longer than Planar Fissure, you can focus your Trailblaze Power on Ornaments for two weeks and clear the other events afterwards.
Your Planar Fissure Checklist
- Unlock World 3 of Simulated Universe before October 12.
- Save Trailblaze Power and Immersifiers this weekend instead of farming Ornaments at normal rates.
- Choose your target sets for Pearl, Mortenax Blade or your main teams.
- Use your double rewards in focused sessions: the limit covers the whole event, not each day.
- Hold some runs for Phase 2 if you plan to pull Mortenax Blade on October 21.
- Finish before October 25, then move your energy to Garden of Plenty from October 30.
Planar Fissure is one of the most efficient events in any version, and 4.6 times it well, right before a new banner phase and ahead of Garden of Plenty. Stock up now, pick your targets and you will come out with Ornaments that would normally take weeks to farm.
