Should You Spend Sprite Dust on the Variant Upgrade?

That depends on whether collecting Loot Hacker Sprites matters to you.

If your main goal is completing the Sprite collection, investing Sprite Dust into the Loot Hacker Sprite Variant upgrade makes sense because it directly improves your ability to find the variants through Chests.

If your priority is combat loot, Sprite Dust may be more valuable in the weapon and utility Loot Hacks already available in v42.10.

Sprite Dust now serves multiple purposes, so maxing every new option is not automatically best.
