What Changes When Verdansk Arrives in COD Mobile Season 10
By Sir Ayup
Verdansk is coming to Call of Duty: Mobile, and it brings the Gulag with it. Season 10: 7th Anniversary launches on November 11 at 4 PM PT and adds a brand-new Battle Royale map with more than 15 major points of interest, a second chance to get back into the match after your first death, and the biggest set of Battle Royale changes in years. At gamemarket.gg, we explain what Verdansk includes, how the Gulag and redeploys work, what changes in Battle Royale and how to learn the map before you drop in for real.
When Does COD Mobile Season 10 Start?
- Launch: November 11, 2026, 4 PM PT
- In Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7): November 12, 2026, 7 AM
Activision has described Season 10 as the start of a new era of Battle Royale, and it also marks the game's seventh anniversary.
What Is Verdansk?
Verdansk is a new big map for Battle Royale with 15+ major points of interest. The locations Activision has named so far include:
- Superstore
- Airport
- Hospital
- Port
- Prison
- Stadium
- Train Station
Verdansk also comes to DMZ: Recon, along with a new boss called the Chemist and a new Prison Highlight Contract.
Activision has not shared the player count or the full size of the map yet. It says a Verdansk interactive map guide showing all points of interest, Buy Stations and vehicle locations will be published separately, and we will add those details here once they are available.
How the Gulag Works
The Gulag is the feature that changes Verdansk the most. According to Activision:
- The first time you are eliminated in a Verdansk match, you are sent to the Gulag instead of being knocked out of the game
- You wait and watch with the other players in the Gulag until it is your turn
- You fight another player one on one
- Win, and you redeploy into Verdansk
- Lose, and you are out of the match unless a teammate buys your redeployment at a Buy Station
The Gulag only saves you once. After you use your first death, your team's Buy Station money becomes your safety net, so squads that save cash for redeploys will have an edge in late fights.
What Changes in Battle Royale
Season 10 changes how Battle Royale plays, not just where it takes place. According to the official announcement:
- New third-person animations on Verdansk and in DMZ
- Updated movement and airborne controls
- Parachutes can be deployed during the match on Verdansk, replacing wingsuits
- Doors can be shoulder bashed open by running through them
- You can drag downed teammates while reviving them
- In-game contracts give extra rewards during a match
- Updated UI and lobby scenes
Activision also says future updates will keep adjusting vehicles, movement and the overall mode.
Field Assets
Scorestreaks are now called Field Assets in Battle Royale:
- You can equip them in your Loadout
- They are rarer in matches, and Activision says they are meant to feel more valuable and more powerful
- You can buy them at Buy Stations, though their costs have changed
- Assets like the Strafing Run and Stealth Chopper use a new scope mechanism when activated
- New Field Assets include the Death Machine and EMP Systems
Perks
Wildcards are now called Perks in Battle Royale. You can find them in matches or equip them in your Loadout, then pick them up from Loadout Drops and Buy Stations. The list includes perks such as Fast ADS, Tracking Ammo, Sniper Expert and Slide Reload, so your Loadout choices now shape your playstyle much more than before.
Learn the Map in Create Your Truth
Before jumping into ranked Battle Royale, you can try Create Your Truth, a limited-time narrative playlist set in Verdansk. You collect map codes, decode intel, find NPCs and follow HUD guidance to the Stadium, with infinite respawns. It is the safest way to learn the routes and landmarks without losing a match.
Tips for Your First Verdansk Matches
- Play Create Your Truth first to learn where the major points of interest are
- Win your Gulag duel. Treat it as part of the match, not a bonus, since it is your only free way back
- Save money for redeploys. A teammate with enough cash at a Buy Station can bring you back after a lost Gulag
- Plan your Loadout around Perks and Field Assets, since they are now part of your build rather than random pickups
- Use the parachute to reposition during the match instead of relying on a single drop
