CODM Season 8 Against All Fate: Every Mode, Draw and Deadline
By Sir Ayup 8 September 2026, 22:00 WIB
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 — Against All Fate launches 9 September at 5 PM PT, and the two most substantial additions aren't cosmetics at all.
There's a three-player roguelike top-down shooter with randomised builds, and a Battle Royale POI on Isolated that has to be unlocked through a contract broadcast to the entire lobby.
Here's what's actually new to play, and the dates that decide when you can play it.
The short version
- Season 8 launches 9 September, 5 PM PT.
- The three Honkai Draws open 11 September UTC — two days after the season, not with it.
- New Multiplayer mode: three-player roguelike top-down shooter with randomised builds and an Endless mode.
- New BR POI: Quantum Platform on Isolated, unlocked through a match-wide contract.
- The Draw Operators are CODM characters in Herrscher designs — not the Honkai Valkyries themselves.
- The Mythic weapons and the Battle Pass weapons are separate acquisitions of the same guns.
The roguelike mode is the real addition
This is the part that will still be getting played in week four.
Up to three players team up and fight waves of monsters until a final boss. Three maps are available, each with its own difficulty settings.
You hunt Elite Chests for upgrades — Weapon Traits, Stigmata and Chips — while earning XP through the run. Drops and upgrade paths are randomised, so no two runs build the same way.
Downed players can be revived by teammates, which makes it a genuine co-op mode rather than three people surviving in parallel.
Endless mode strips out the boss and asks how long you can hold against escalating waves. Activision also mentions secret levels and enemies, which is an unusual thing to advertise and suggests something worth deliberately hunting for.
Why this matters more than a themed playlist: randomised builds give a mode replay value that cosmetic events don't have. Most collaboration content is finished once you've claimed the rewards. This isn't — the meta will take weeks to settle, and the first fortnight is when experimenting pays most.
Quantum Platform: a POI you have to fight for
The Battle Royale addition on Isolated isn't a location you land at. It's a four-step objective.
- Find and complete a contract. It appears on the map — and is called out over match-wide comms to every player in the lobby.
- Locate the teleporter the contract points you toward.
- Defend the teleporter while it charges.
- Enter the portal to reach the Quantum Platform.
Then the actual fight begins. The platform is populated with Honkai-inspired enemies, with high-quality loot spread throughout — including items tied directly to the collaboration. Grab what you can, return to the teleporter, and re-enter the main map.
The match-wide announcement is the smart part of the design. Every other squad knows you're going for it and roughly where. That turns the POI into a contested objective rather than a private loot run — you're not just fighting the AI defending the platform, you're fighting whoever decided to camp the teleporter while you were inside.
Practical advice: don't take the contract with a full squad wiped. Defending a charging teleporter with two players while three squads converge is how a good run ends.
The Draws — and who's actually in them
Worth stating plainly, because the promotional art invites the wrong assumption.
You are not playing as Kiana, Mei and Bronya. Activision's wording is specific: these are Call of Duty: Mobile Operators inspired by Honkai Impact 3rd's Valkyries.
- Rin Yoshida — Herrscher of Thunder, with the Katana — Domain of Sanction
- Siren — Herrscher of Flamescion, with the Nail Gun — Domain of Incandescence
- Kestrel — Herrscher of Reason, with the FHJ — Domain of Revelation
Each is a Legendary Operator — not Mythic — paired with a Legendary weapon, and each carries floating elements including mechanical arms and elemental ornaments.
All three Draws open around 11 September UTC.
Three separate Draws means three separate cost curves. CODM Draws work from a fixed item pool where each pull removes an item and prices escalate toward the featured piece. Chasing two Operators doesn't share progress — it restarts the ladder. One Draw finished costs less than three Draws half-finished, so pick your Herrscher before the 11th rather than during it.
Acquiring all three unlocks the EMP Systems — Snap Judgement and Gunship — Thunderous Destruction Scorestreak skins, plus the Gravity Vortex Gun — Project Bunny Operator Skill skin.
The same guns appear twice, and they're not the same acquisition
This is the detail most likely to cost someone money by accident.
The ISO Hemlock and Static-HV both appear as ordinary weapons in the passes — ISO Hemlock in the Battle Pass free tiers, Static-HV in the Challenge Pass Exchange.
They also appear as Mythics in the Weapon Series Armory: ISO Hemlock — Core of Thunder, Static-HV — Core of Fire, and BAL-27 — Core of Reason.
Earning the base weapon free does not give you the Mythic. They're separate acquisitions of the same gun, and the Mythic versions carry their own elimination effects, inspections, reload animations and upgrade paths — with upgrades sold separately on top.
The Mythic Free Weapon Event offers one of those three through weekly missions, but it runs across multiple seasons and requires many of the harder challenges. Start it now if you intend to finish it; weeks skipped can't be recovered.
Battle Pass and Challenge Pass
Free tiers: the ISO Hemlock assault rifle — high damage, low recoil, built for mid-range — plus Operator Skins, Blueprints and Vault Coins.
Premium tiers: Operator Skins Keegan — Field Medic, Manta Ray — Mech Framewright, Cipher — Mech Pilot and Corso — Plated Rogue. Blueprints include Striker — Chibi Chassis, SP-R 208 — Reclamation, Striker 45 — Assimilation, plus Static-HV — Overhaul and ISO Hemlock — Diagnostics.
Challenge Pass: the Static-HV SMG — aggressive, 50-round magazine, high fire rate — earned through Tokens in the Exchange, alongside VMP — Stellar Radiance and Charm — Chibi Commando.
Battle Pass Subscription adds monthly rewards, a 10% Player and Weapon XP boost, discount coupons, and limited discounts on 10x crate pulls.
Everything else in the season
- Honkai Themed Event — playable rewards including the Scylla — Rita Rossweisse Operator Skin, Scythe — Aphrodite melee Blueprint, Camo — Rosette Runners and a Predator Missile reskin, earned through normal matches.
- Grau 5.56 — Rita's Rose arrives as a Legendary Secret Cache weapon.
- Arcade event rewards including the Operator Chuy — Bracken and Blueprints Locus — Hunter, QQ9 — Close Call and Cronen Squall — Firebreak.
- New Prestige Weapon: the Dingo — Diamond Oracle LMG Blueprint reskin, progressed through Lucky Draws.
- Legendary Vehicle Draw: Snowboard — Horizon Shredder and Wingsuit — Air Drifter.
- Battle Pass Vaults: Nightmare (S9 2021) and Shadow Operatives (S8 2024), returning Nikto — Scarecrow, Artery — Nosferatu, Samael — Techno Thug and Iskra — Toxic Shadow.
What to do
Log in on 9 September, not the 11th. The season opens first; the Draws follow two days later.
Play the roguelike mode in week one. Randomised builds mean the meta hasn't settled, and experimentation is most rewarded before it does.
Take Quantum Platform contracts with a full squad. The lobby knows where you're going.
Pick one Herrscher before the Draws open. Three cost curves don't share progress.
Check whether you already earned the gun. The pass weapons and the Mythics are different items with the same names.
