7DS Origin 2.3: Bonus Lock, Greed Incarnate and Estia
By Sir Ayup
The Seven Deadly Sins Origin 2.3 update arrives on October 28, 2026, and it brings the equipment changes many Star Guardians have been asking for. A new Bonus Lock feature lets you keep the bonuses you like when rerolling Enchantment and Engraved Equipment, and the new Greed Incarnate set drops from the [Transcendence] difficulty of Taranis's Sanctuary. At gamemarket.gg, we broke down how Bonus Lock works, how to get Greed Incarnate, the new hero Estia, every event in Version 2.3 and what opens on November 4.
Version 2.3 at a Glance
- Maintenance: October 28, 02:00 to 08:00 (UTC), about 6 hours
- Maintenance compensation: 300 Star Fragments
- Equipment changes: free Bonus Lock for Enchantment and Engraved Equipment rerolls
- New equipment set: Greed Incarnate (Quality 170), from Taranis's Sanctuary [Transcendence]
- New hero: [SSR] Estia, banner until the November 18 maintenance
- Second wave on November 4: World Level 5, the Star Map system and the Knighthood Boss Battle revamp
- Celebration gift: Transcendence materials, Remnants of the Rift and 3,000,000 Gold
Bonus Lock: How It Works
Until now, rerolling a bonus meant rerolling every bonus on the item, so one good roll could be lost while chasing the next. From Version 2.3, you can lock the bonuses you want to keep and reroll only the rest.
- Engraved Equipment: lock up to 2 bonuses
- Enchantment: lock every bonus except at least 1 that stays unlocked for rerolling
- Lock cost: free, with no extra currency needed
- Reroll cost: unchanged, no matter how many bonuses you lock
Rerolls still use the same materials as before:
- Enchantment: 1 Spell Bead plus Gold
- Engraved Equipment: 1 Remnants of the Rift plus Gold
One detail to know: when rerolling Enchantment bonuses, switching to a different type of Spell Bead resets your locks, and Bonus Lock cannot be used in that reroll. Sticking to the same Spell Bead type keeps your locked bonuses safe while you chase the rest.
New Equipment Set: Greed Incarnate
Greed Incarnate is a new equipment set one tier above Greedy Ruler, and it drops only from the new [Transcendence] difficulty of Taranis's Sanctuary.
How the drops work:
- Defeating Elite Monsters in [Transcendence] has a chance to drop equipment from either Greed Incarnate or Greedy Ruler
- Greed Incarnate always drops at a fixed Quality 170
- Greedy Ruler drops at a fixed Quality 160
- For both sets, the option types for each part are fixed, and only the option values are random
Weekly chests: [Transcendence] also adds Greed Incarnate Chance Chests to its weekly rewards, giving you another steady way to collect pieces of the set.
Taranis's Sanctuary [Transcendence]
[Transcendence] is the highest Raid difficulty, meant for players who have already built a set of Quality 150 to 160 armor from clearing [Abyss] with all three Pledges.
- Entry cost: Mystic Keys, the same as [Abyss]
- No time limit and no Pledges
- Built for parties, giving you an advantage when you take it on together rather than alone
- Black Rook's Block Rate is also reduced across all difficulties of Taranis's Sanctuary
Raid keys reset: with the new difficulty, Mystic Keys, Chaos Keys and weekly reward claims reset during maintenance. Only the amount you used before the update is replenished, up to the default maximum of 2 keys each, and Raid Exchange Shop purchase counts do not reset. Everyone also gets 1 extra Mystic Key in the mailbox after maintenance, claimable until November 18, 14:59 (UTC).
If you need a refresher on how keys and Raid rewards worked last version, our Version 2.2 update guide covers the Chaos Key changes.
New Hero: [SSR] Estia
Estia joins through Estia Pick Up: The Power to Neutralize Pollution, running from after the October 28 maintenance until the November 18 maintenance. She uses three weapons, each with its own role:
- Rapier, Cold (Attacker): builds Submerge stacks on enemies and boosts the team's Cold Attack, with an extra bonus when your team has at least 3 Cold heroes
- Wand, Holy (Warden): heals allies, spawns Protection Clams and Exploding Starfish, and grants barriers with her Ultimate Move
- Grimoire, Cold (Support): boosts allies' Ultimate Move Crit Damage and lowers enemy All Elemental Resistance
Her Adventure Skill, Penguin Form!, turns her into a penguin that is slow on land but fast in the water and unaffected by underwater contamination.
How the Pick Up works: you need to clear the Main Quest "HP Recovery!" to join. An SSR is guaranteed within 80 draws with a 50% chance of being the Pick Up hero, and if you lose that 50/50, the next SSR is guaranteed to be the Pick Up hero. Your draw count and guarantee carry over to other Hero Pick Ups. On top of that, the 120th Draw Bonus gives the Pick Up hero once per banner at 120 draws, but this gauge does not carry over to other banners.
Estia events and skins:
- Hero Estia Trial Event: test a fully upgraded Estia for 300 Star Fragments, 30 Supreme Mastery EXP and growth materials
- Exclusive Skin: Dance of Shimmering Waters: gives the outfit skin Breath of the Water Spirit and the Rapier skin Pure Tide. The first draw is free, Top Tier rewards start appearing from the 5th draw, and every reward is guaranteed within 10 draws with no duplicates
- Estia's Potential Point is added to the Star Trace Crystalloid shop
Skin draw cost: after the free first draw, the 2nd to 10th draws cost 1, 1, 2, 4, 4, 6, 6, 8 and 8 Exclusive Skin Draw Tickets, or 40 tickets in total to clear the whole pool. Exclusive Skin Draw Tickets do not expire and carry over to future skin banners.
Clotho is also back: Clotho Pick Up: Enigmatic Helper runs for the same period with the same Pick Up rules, and the skin event Moonlight Across the Dawn features the outfit Dawn Moon's Play and the Rapier skin Sacred Sword Sephiora with the same ticket costs. If you drew on this skin event before, your draw progress carries over with the improved rewards, though the free first draw is not given again. Clotho's and Drake's Potential Points are also added to the Star Trace Crystalloid shop.

November 4: World Level 5 and the Star Map
The second half of Version 2.3 opens after the November 4 maintenance. World Level 5 unlocks at Book of Stars Lv. 50 and brings Corruption Frenzy.
Corruption Frenzy (solo or party):
- A gauge fills over time, even while you are offline, and triggers a Corrupted Field Boss in your world
- Up to 3 different Field Bosses can be Corrupted at once
- Purifying Corruption Colonies removes the boss's enhancement effects, though you can also fight it at full strength
- Reward Cubes are opened with Cube Keys
Massive Corruption Frenzy (10 to 15 players):
- Opens on a fixed weekly schedule (UTC): Thursday 18:00, Friday and Saturday 02:00, 10:00 and 18:00, and Sunday 02:00 and 10:00
- Each session lasts 3 hours, with unlimited revives
- Reward Cubes open without extra currency, as long as you dealt damage at least once
Both modes give rewards up to 3 times per day each.
Star Map: the new account-wide system has 10 tiers and permanently increases Attack, Defense and HP using Essences from Corrupted Field Bosses. Advancing tiers uses Hero Points, which you earn the first time you obtain each hero, and they will be granted retroactively for heroes you already own. Upgrades in the Star Map cannot be reset, so it is worth planning which stats to push first.
Knighthood Boss Battle revamp: from November 4, Demonic Beast Akumu gets a 4-minute battle (down from 5), a 500% base Defense boost that drops by 10% each time a different Element hits it (up to 10 times), faster Element Stones, and a Groggy state once all Element Stones are destroyed. The battle is unavailable from the November 2, 07:00 (UTC) weekly reset until the new season opens.
Version 2.3 Celebration Gift
Every Star Guardian receives:
- Transcendence Refinement Stone x30
- Transcendence Engraving Stone x10
- Remnants of the Rift x5
- Engraver's Fabric Scissors x3
- Gold x3,000,000
