Echoes of Oz runs from 19 August to 10 November 2026 — nearly three months, five Legendary Champions, a new Event Dungeon, a Fusion, limited gear and returning Relics. The detail that should shape your planning from day one is that each of the five Champions arrives through a different system. Dorothy Gale comes from the Loyalty Program. The Cowardly Lion headlines the Fusion. The Scarecrow and The Tin Woodman sit in the Shard pool. Ozilda the Wicked joins Shards only at the campaign's close. There is no single resource you can save toward — completing the set means engaging with four separate acquisition routes across twelve weeks. And there's a hard deadline attached: own all five by 10 November at 23:59 UTC and you receive a special collection gift.

The dates

  • Campaign: 19 August – 10 November 2026
  • Emerald City Bastion: 19 August – 22 October
  • Collection reward deadline: 10 November, 23:59 UTC

Plarium is also giving the Bastion an Emerald City makeover for the first two months, with a new arrangement of "There's No Place Like Home" playing alongside it.

The five Champions and their paths

This is the planning table that matters:

  • Dorothy GaleLoyalty Program
  • The Cowardly LionFusion headliner
  • The ScarecrowShard pool, from the start
  • The Tin WoodmanShard pool, from the start
  • Ozilda the WickedShards, at the close of the campaign

Read that as four separate demands on your account:

Loyalty requires sustained daily engagement rather than resources. It's the one path where showing up beats spending.

The Fusion requires event participation across its component stages — the traditional RAID grind, demanding time more than shards.

The Shard pool requires Ancient, Void or Sacred Shards depending on where the Champions sit, and that's where saving matters.

Ozilda arriving late is the trap in the schedule. If you spend your entire shard reserve chasing Scarecrow and Tin Woodman in August and September, you may reach November without the shards to pull the fifth Champion — and miss the collection reward by one.

Plan backwards from 10 November

The collection gift rewards owning all five, which turns this from five independent decisions into one campaign-long plan.

Two principles follow:

Ration your shards across the campaign rather than front-loading. Two Champions are available from the start and one arrives at the end. Emptying your reserve in the first month is the most straightforward way to fail the collection.

Don't neglect Loyalty and Fusion because they're not shard-based. They cost time instead, and time can't be recovered late. A player who spends heavily but skips daily logins can end the campaign with three Champions and no gift.

Ozilda the Wicked and the Event Dungeon

Ozilda is both the campaign's villain and the Event Dungeon boss — a Void Legendary Support from the Dark Elves, and Plarium describes her as relentlessly aggressive.

Her kit is built on control and buff denial. Across her abilities she can apply Decrease DEF, Ensnare, Fear, True Fear, Block Active Skills, Sheep, Master Seal and Block Passive Skills — an unusually broad debuff spread for a single Champion.

One mechanic worth knowing before you build: her attack on all enemies carries a 40% chance to apply Block Active Skills for one turn, rising to 100% against targets already under Fear or True Fear. That's a punishing interaction — once she lands Fear, your skills stop working reliably.

What Plarium recommends bringing

Unusually, Plarium has published guidance on the intended strategy, which is worth following rather than improvising:

  • Mercurial and Protection Sets are expected to play an important role in this rotation
  • Cleansers carry substantial value, given the breadth of debuffs she applies
  • Champions who decrease debuff duration offer another route to limiting her control
  • Control skills remain useful at higher Dungeon Stages, despite Ozilda's own extensive immunities

That last point is the counterintuitive one. A boss with personal immunities usually means control Champions get benched — Plarium is explicitly saying otherwise for the upper stages.

Start gearing now. Two days isn't enough to farm a Mercurial set from scratch, but it's enough to identify which Champions you'd bring and whether their gear needs reworking.

What else is in the campaign

Beyond the Champions and the dungeon:

  • Limited gear tied to the event
  • Returning Relics
  • Multiple collection rewards across the campaign, not only the final one
  • Phase 1 focuses on logging in and collecting daily rewards — a deliberately gentle opening

That opening phase matters more than it looks. A campaign that starts with login-based rewards means the first week costs you nothing but attendance, and skipping it forfeits progress you'd have earned for free.

What to do before 19 August

  1. Check your Loyalty Program progress. Dorothy comes through it, and Loyalty rewards consistency over months rather than bursts.
  2. Count your shards and set a budget per phase. Two Champions now, one in November. Divide accordingly.
  3. Identify your cleansers and debuff-duration reducers. These are the Champions Plarium has flagged for the dungeon.
  4. Check whether you own Mercurial and Protection gear worth using, and on whom.
  5. Diarise 10 November, 23:59 UTC for the collection deadline, and 22 October for when the Emerald City Bastion ends.

Is chasing all five realistic?

Honestly assessed, it depends on your account and your habits.

For established accounts with shard reserves and consistent daily play, all five is achievable across twelve weeks — that's clearly the design intent, and the pacing supports it.

For newer or returning accounts, the Loyalty and Fusion routes are the accessible ones, since both reward time rather than accumulated resources. Getting two or three Champions is a reasonable target, and the campaign has intermediate collection rewards rather than only the final gift.

The trap for everyone is the same: spending everything early on the two Shard Champions available in August, then arriving in November unable to pull Ozilda. Three months is long enough that pacing beats enthusiasm.

Build the account the campaign asks for

A twelve-week campaign across four acquisition systems rewards accounts that already have the roster depth and farmed gear to enter it properly — and that infrastructure is the slow half of RAID.
