Adelyde: Anabasis arrives in Punishing: Gray Raven's Anchored in Faith update as the first Dark Overlinker and one of the easiest new S-Ranks to build without draining Black Cards. Her base frame is obtainable through Journal of Promise, while the Service Shop adds 50 Inver-Shards, her 6-star weapon Unforsaken Beacon, and her exclusive S-Rank CUB Kelpie.

Her kit is built around fast switching, Matrix-triggered team buffs, QTE access, and Dark/Ultima Slash support, so she should not be treated like a conventional stay-on-field attacker. The safest early build is to prioritize her signature setup and keep rotations short.

Adelyde's role: Dark Overlinker, not a standard carry

Adelyde uses a Cross Cannon, deals Dark damage, and carries the Ultima Slash effect. Her Overlinker class is built to enhance the whole team's combat power whenever members rotate in and out.

When an Overlinker is in the team, switching characters grants buffs. Under the right conditions, triggering Matrix can also push the squad into an enhanced state. Adelyde therefore rewards clean switch timing, QTE chaining, Matrix activation, and minimal dead time.

Her own kit adds multiple combat forms, Abyss Signal Orbs, Beacon-related resources, and attacks such as Abyssal Tactics. Higher ranks also strengthen QTE access and team support. The practical goal is to let Adelyde enter, trigger her key states and buffs, deal her burst, then hand the field to the next unit before the rotation stalls.

Best Memory setup: start with Pesanteur

The Global Anchored in Faith patch adds the new 6-star Memory Pesanteur to the Simulation Shop alongside Adelyde.

That is the first set to build for her.

Pre-release databases circulated an earlier translated name for Adelyde's signature Memory, so do not mix old names with the Global client. For publication and in-game farming, Pesanteur is the name to follow on Global.

The safest early recommendation is:

• 4-piece Pesanteur

• 2-piece Cottie as the rotation-focused secondary set

Cottie's Energy support fits Adelyde's resource-heavy rotation and is the most practical early partner for a signature 4-piece setup.

One detail still needs a launch-day check: the final English 2-piece and 4-piece Pesanteur effect text. Global patch notes confirm the Memory's release but do not publish its full set bonuses in text.

For resonance, prioritize offensive stats first rather than defensive rolls. If the Global version preserves the pre-release rotation structure, ATK-focused upper-slot resonance and Signature-related lower-slot value are the sensible starting points.

Treat exact resonance optimization as an early build until live testing settles the final rotation.

Unforsaken Beacon is the weapon to build first

Adelyde's signature 6-star Cross Cannon is Unforsaken Beacon.

It is also unusually accessible. The Anchored in Faith Service Shop lists one copy for 500 Service Certificates, while the Crucible Research milestone track also includes a copy at 40 pulls.

That means most players should not rush into Weapon Research before checking the free routes.

Because Adelyde's forms and resource loop are unique to Anabasis, her signature weapon should be the default target. The priority is:

1. Claim Adelyde.

2. Earn the Service Certificates.

3. Secure Unforsaken Beacon.

4. Only consider extra weapon investment after the free copy is handled.

The patch provides 2,500 Service Certificates from limited missions plus weekly certificates, so plan the shop before spending.

Kelpie is more than a stat-stick CUB

Kelpie is Adelyde's dedicated S-Rank CUB and is also available from the Service Shop for 300 Service Certificates.

After six basic Signal Orbs are pinged, Kelpie's active becomes available. One active focuses on repeated damage, while the other gathers enemies before a multi-hit attack, making it useful in mob stages.

Kelpie's passives also support the carrier with ATK, Dark damage, and an Extra DMG Bonus after using the CUB active. Its Adelyde-exclusive passive can trigger an additional Dark joint attack when she uses Abyssal Tactics and can refresh a short ATK buff when she changes forms or enters specific combat states.

For general play:

• use the gathering active against groups,

• use the direct damage option against enemies that cannot be pulled,

• activate Kelpie as soon as the rotation can benefit from the buff window,

• avoid holding the CUB button so long that you lose repeated buff uptime.

Best Adelyde teams

Adelyde's first strong teams are built around short rotations and repeated switching, not around giving one frame all the field time.

Adelyde + Rosetta + high-investment Tank flex

This is the most important early structure to understand.

Pre-release community testing repeatedly paired Adelyde with Rosetta and used a third Tank or Breaker slot to keep the switch cycle moving. At high investment, SSS Tank passives that reduce switch downtime become especially valuable because they let the team return to Adelyde and Rosetta faster.

The best third slot depends on rank, affixes, and content. What matters is the structure:

• Adelyde supplies Overlinker buffs, QTE access, and Dark/Ultima Slash support.

• Rosetta provides a second strong rotation with excellent field efficiency.

• The third slot should add useful shred, buffs, or switch-cycle value without demanding a long rotation.

Adelyde + Rosetta + Lilith

A Dark-oriented version using Lilith is another workable early composition, especially for players who already have her invested.

The advantage is roster continuity. Higher-investment Tank options can still outperform a traditional third slot if their switch-cooldown utility lets Adelyde and Rosetta cycle faster.

Budget and developing accounts

Newer players should pair her with the strongest Dark-compatible Tank/Breaker and secondary damage option already available, then improve one slot at a time. A functional three-unit rotation matters more than copying an expensive endgame lineup.

How to approach Adelyde's rotation

A final frame-by-frame rotation should be tested on the Global client, but the design direction is already clear.

Adelyde wants to enter, trigger her form and Beacon-related mechanics, use her strongest Abyssal actions, activate Kelpie inside the useful buff window, and rotate out before her field time becomes inefficient.

The Overlinker class then rewards the next switch and helps turn Matrix into an offensive window. Three habits matter:

• Do not overstay. Her class is built around switching.

• Use QTEs aggressively. Higher-rank effects interact strongly with QTE availability.

• Treat Matrix as offense, not only defense. Overlinker turns a successful Matrix trigger into part of the team's damage cycle.
