NTE Pixel Surge Guide: 2x Character Pixels & 840 Cap

Neverness to Everness is bringing Pixel Surge back on September 14, 2026, giving players another one-week window to double rewards from selected Character Pixel activities.

This is a returning event, not a brand-new system. NTE ran Pixel Surge in late June and again in early August with the same structure: spend Character Pixels in four eligible activities, receive double rewards, and manage a daily bonus allowance that can stack across the event.

The September run lasts from September 14 at 05:00 to September 21 at 04:59 server time. The key number is 840 Character Pixels, the maximum amount of spending that can receive the 2x bonus across the event.

Pixel Surge September 2026 Dates

The returning Pixel Surge event runs from:

September 14, 05:00 – September 21, 04:59 server time

Perfect World confirmed the event in NTE's September 9 maintenance notice.

This is the third confirmed Pixel Surge window in the global release cycle after earlier runs in June and August. The mechanics are effectively the same, so returning players should already recognize the format.

For Version 1.3, Pixel Surge follows Gold Clash, which ends on September 14 at 04:59. That creates a direct handoff between two double-reward events: Gold Clash ends, then Pixel Surge begins immediately afterward.

Which Activities Get 2x Rewards?

Pixel Surge applies when spending Character Pixels in four activities:

• Houdinii's Magic Stage

• Houdinii's Schemes

• Bubble Can Factory

• Rabbit Hole

During the event, Character Pixels spent in these activities receive double rewards until your available Pixel Surge allowance is exhausted.

Pixel Surge does not double every progression source in NTE. It only applies to Character Pixel spending inside those four activities, so check the event indicator and reward preview before spending.

The Daily Limit Is 120 Character Pixels

Each day, Pixel Surge gives you a 120 Character Pixel double-reward allowance.

Across seven event days, 120 × 7 = 840 Character Pixels. The important detail is that you do not need to spend exactly 120 every calendar day.

Unused allowance carries forward.

That makes Pixel Surge much more forgiving than a strict daily-use event.

How Carry-Over Works

Perfect World explicitly confirms that unused daily allowance accumulates.

For example:

• Day 1: you spend 0 Pixels

• Day 2: another 120 allowance is added

• You can now have up to 240 Character Pixels worth of double rewards available

If you also skip Day 2, your available allowance can continue growing as more daily capacity is added.

The total amount that can ever receive the event bonus is still capped at 840 Character Pixels across the full week.

This means missing one day does not automatically cost you rewards.

You can catch up later as long as:

1. the event is still active;

2. your accumulated allowance has not expired with the event;

3. you have enough Character Pixels to spend before September 21.

That carry-over makes the event forgiving for players who cannot log in every day.

You Do Not Need to Spend 120 Every Day

Because unused allowance carries over, there is no need to force an inefficient farming choice just to hit 120 on Day 1.

If the activity you actually need is not your priority that day, you can save the allowance and spend it later.

If you are preparing a specific character and one eligible activity gives the material you need, wait and farm that activity rather than spending Pixels on something less useful. Doubled materials you do not need are still a poor use of Character Pixels.

How to Max the 840 Cap

The simplest plan is to treat 840 as your total event budget.

You have several ways to use it.

Option 1: Spend 120 Every Day

This is the easiest routine.

Spend 120 eligible Character Pixels each day for seven days and you will reach the full 840 bonus cap naturally.

This works well if you log in daily.

Option 2: Let Allowance Build Up

If you miss days, let the allowance accumulate.

For example, after three daily additions, you can have up to 360 Character Pixels of available double-reward capacity if you have not used any of it.

You can then spend a larger amount in one session.

This suits players with limited weekday playtime.

Option 3: Save Most of It for a Specific Farm

Because the allowance stacks, you can concentrate more of your Pixel spending on one or two activities later in the event.

The risk is waiting too long: unused allowance disappears when the event ends. Carry-over protects you from missing a day, not from the September 21 deadline.

What Should You Farm First?

There is no universal best activity because Pixel Surge doubles whatever eligible reward you were already planning to farm.

The better question is: what is currently blocking your account?

Before spending Character Pixels, check:

• which character or team you are actively developing;

• which material is currently limiting progression;

• which of the four eligible activities supplies that material;

• whether you already have excess stock of another reward.

Prioritize bottlenecks.

Do not split the 840 evenly between four activities just because there are four options.

If one activity provides the resource you urgently need, concentrating your double-reward budget there can be more efficient than spreading it across materials that will sit unused.

Pixel Surge Is a Rerun, but Still Valuable

The September event uses the same structure as earlier Pixel Surge runs.

The June event ran June 26–July 3, while the August version ran August 3–10. Both used the same 120-per-day allowance and 840 total cap, so September is a rerun rather than a new mechanic.

Version 1.3 has added and rerun characters throughout August and September, including the second-phase Linko and Hotori banners. Players building new teams may have very different material needs now than they did during the August Pixel Surge.

The correct framing is not "new farming system." It is another limited opportunity to get twice the output from resources you were likely going to spend anyway.

Do Character Pixels Themselves Double?

No.

Pixel Surge doubles the rewards received when spending Character Pixels in the eligible activities.

It does not double your Character Pixel balance.

If you spend 120 Character Pixels under the event bonus, you still spend 120. The benefit is that the eligible activity rewards are doubled.

You still need enough Character Pixels to use the allowance; the event does not provide 840 free Pixels by itself.

What Happens After 840 Pixels?

Once you have used the full event allowance, additional Character Pixel spending no longer receives the Pixel Surge 2x bonus.

You can still run the eligible activities normally, but rewards return to their standard rate.

If the in-game interface displays remaining double-reward allowance, use that value instead of estimating manually. The full cap is 840 Character Pixels.

Pixel Surge Ends as Fons Rush Begins

Pixel Surge ends on September 21 at 04:59 server time.

Immediately afterward, Version 1.3 moves into another resource event: Fons Rush, scheduled for September 21 through September 28.

Use Pixel Surge for Character Pixel activities first, then shift to the Fons-focused event once the double Pixel rewards end.
