Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's 10th Anniversary Gala Weekend lets players pick one permanent skin, free, from a pool of over 265 epic-tier and higher options. The event runs September 25 through October 11, 2026, split into two phases: a pre-registration window where you pick your skin, followed by a claim phase where a simple quest unlocks it. It's separate from the other free skins already confirmed for the 10th Anniversary, like Nana's Battle Pass skin and Layla's Collector skin.
How the two phases work
The event splits into a Pre-Registration Phase and an Event Phase.
- Pre-Registration Phase: you browse the pool and pick the permanent skin you want. You can change your selection as many times as you like during this window, so there's no rush to lock in a choice right away.
- Event Phase (starting October 9): this is when your pick actually becomes claimable. Log into the event page any time during this phase to automatically collect login rewards, and complete a short quest to claim the skin you selected earlier.
Because the pick happens before the claim window opens, it's worth deciding early and revisiting your choice a few times before the Event Phase locks it in.
What skins are in the pool
The selection spans several skin tiers, including Lightborn-series skins, Epic Shop skins, Special skins, Elite skins, and Basic skins, for a combined pool of over 265 options. Heroes seen in the selection screen include Zilong, Alpha, Gusion, Ling, Alucard, Natasha, and Clint, among others, though the exact roster shown can vary by account since the pool is that large.
How to claim your skin
Once the Event Phase opens, the quest to unlock your chosen skin is straightforward: complete 2 matches, or team up with a friend and complete just 1 match together. Either option counts toward the same quest. It can be completed in Classic, Rank, Brawl, or MLBB Rising Open — any one of those four modes works.
Extra login rewards
Logging into the event page during the Event Phase also grants a few bonus items automatically, separate from the main skin pick:
- Festive Flare battle emote
- 300 Battle Pass EXP
- 10 Lucky Gem Fragments
These come on top of whichever skin you claim through the quest, so they're worth grabbing even if you're only checking in briefly.
Don't mix this up with the free skin trial
Starting the same day the Event Phase opens (October 9), MLBB is also running a separate perk: temporary free access to roughly 300 skins, usable in Ranked matches. This is a trial privilege, not a permanent unlock, so it's distinct from the one permanent skin you pick and keep through the Gala Weekend itself. Treat it as a bonus to enjoy during the event window rather than something you're claiming for good.
