Guardian Tales October 13 Update: Astoria, New Gear & Rewards

The Guardian Tales October 13 update brings Gluttonous Astoria, her Exclusive Equipment S-scription, a new Dungeon Kingdom Arena season and a full set of limited events running until late October. Gluttonous Astoria: What She Does
The patch notes do not list Astoria's rarity, element or role directly, but her kit makes her purpose clear. She is a ranged hero who protects and buffs the whole party.
Myth Skill: "We're Live Right Now!"
- Deals ranged damage equal to 420% of DPS.
- Gives all allies +10% Critical Hit Rate for 240 seconds, a long-lasting team buff.
Chain Skill: Wyvern's Fangs
- Deals ranged damage equal to 380% of DPS.
- Heals Astoria for 20% of the damage dealt.
Weapon Skill
- Deals ranged damage equal to 260% of DPS.
Several of her values appear in the notes as increases over earlier numbers, so players who already use Astoria should check the in-game skill descriptions for the exact changes.
Her Special Ability: Buffs That Build With Every Hit
Astoria's real strength is her Special Ability, which rewards her for landing hits:
- Yum Yum! hit: shields all allies for 20% of Astoria's Max HP.
- 2 hits: an extra shield equal to 5% of her Max HP.
- 4 hits: party Skill Damage +40% for 8 seconds.
- 6 hits: party Critical Hit Rate +20% for 8 seconds.
- 8 hits (new): party Normal Attack Damage +15% for 8 seconds.
The count resets once it reaches the maximum, so she cycles through these buffs throughout a fight. Shields use adjusted values in PvP.
Put together, Astoria gives your team regular shields, crit buffs and both skill and normal attack damage boosts. That makes her a strong fit for teams that rely on burst windows.
Exclusive Equipment: S-scription
Her new Exclusive Equipment, S-scription, adds three useful effects:
- The final Live On hit lowers the target's Atk by 15% for 3 seconds.
- When Live On hits enemies affected by a status ailment, Basic-type party members gain +55% Critical Multiplier for 6 seconds.
- Damage dealt +20% while a shield is active.
The second effect is the standout. Paired with heroes who inflict status ailments, S-scription turns Astoria into a strong damage amplifier for Basic-type teammates.
Guardian Pass: S-scription or Star Power Tiara?
The Guardian Pass runs until October 28 and offers two notable rewards:
- Gold Pass Key: a Legendary Exclusive Equipment Selection Box
- Platinum Pass Key: choose one of S-scription ★★★★★ or Star Power Tiara ★★★★★
If you plan to build Astoria, S-scription is the natural pick, since it unlocks her full kit. If you already have a stronger use for Star Power Tiara on your account, compare both before choosing, because you can only take one.
Events and Dates
- Hero Pick-up: summon Astoria and S-scription until October 27.
- New Hero Campaign: complete missions to develop Astoria and her equipment for rewards, until October 27.
- Giant Capsule Machine: runs until October 27, with rewards claimable until November 3.
- Festival Pass: raise your Pass Level with missions to earn Festival Coins, plus a 100 Festival Coin bonus. Runs until October 22.
- Guild Raid "Broadcast Mishaps Beware!": October 15 to 21 (server time).
New Dungeon Kingdom Arena Season
A new Dungeon Kingdom Arena season starts with this update. Each day features a different Slime King with its own status ailment weakness:
- Day 1: Basic Slime King (Injury)
- Day 2: Light Slime King (Airborne)
- Day 3: Dark Slime King (Down)
- Day 4: Lava Slime King (Injury)
- Day 5: Deep-Sea Slime King (Airborne)
- Day 6: Verdure Slime King (Down)
- Day 7: Space Slime King (Injury)
Building teams around the right ailment each day is key. Rewards remain claimable until the next season opens.
Costumes, Collections and Packages
- 2 new Collections under Book > Item > Collection.
- A costume rotation of 25 hero costumes, including Pink Wyvern Doll Astoria, and 16 equipment costumes.
- Six limited-time packages until October 27, offering Gems, Summon Controllers, Hero Myth Stones and option stones.
