Before Maintenance: the TRAIL MARKER Deadline
SHIFT UP's August Developer's Note set a clear target. Complete the entire Main Story by October 8, and the ongoing TRAIL MARKER event pays out Recruit Vouchers and Custom Modules. The note framed it as a chance to catch up before the Main Scenario reaches a crucial point.
The update itself lands on that same date, so treat the start of maintenance as your real cutoff. If you still have chapters left, clearing them on October 7 secures the rewards without relying on the last few hours of the event.
New SSR: Belorta: Pumpkin Witch
Belorta: Pumpkin Witch is a Water Code Supporter from Tetra Line, carrying the rocket launcher Candy Shot. Her job is to raise the offensive power of the squad around her, and her Burst Skill adds a further team-wide offence boost on top.
She follows standard Special Recruit rules:
- Featured rate: 2% for Belorta: Pumpkin Witch.
- Mileage exchange: 200 Gold Mileage Tickets trade directly for her in the Mileage Shop.
- Banner window: after the October 8 maintenance until October 28.
Those mileage rules matter for planning. As covered in the September 17 update that added Guilty: Mighty Bunny and Sin: Swift Bunny, unused Gold Mileage Tickets carry over rather than expiring. Skipping Belorta does not waste any tickets you have already banked.
Whether she is worth pulling depends on your Water teams. A Supporter whose value comes from buffing attackers is only as good as the damage dealers she sits beside, so check whether your strongest Water Attackers would actually gain from her before committing. Her full numbers have not been published yet, so expect a clearer picture once players test her after launch.
Little Witch Trick: The Halloween Story Event
In Little Witch Trick, Belorta throws herself into preparing for the Halloween festival, playing pranks and enjoying the celebrations until strange rumours start to spread and the festival turns into something more mysterious.
The rewards come in two layers:
- Event stages: clearing them earns event items you can exchange for Recruit Vouchers and skill enhancement materials.
- Challenge Stage: tougher boss battles that award additional development materials.
Completing Little Witch Trick also feeds the Archives. The earlier story event ABSOLUTE is being added there, and you unlock it with Memory Films earned through Little Witch Trick. Once the update is live, Little Witch Trick itself also joins the Storyline.
Costumes Arriving With the Update
Halloween brings a full wardrobe this time, and each costume comes from a different source:
- Label – Occultist: a new limited costume with full voice-over, obtained through the new OCCULTIST PASS.
- Cinderella – Glass Curtsy: part of the Cinderella Special, with full voice-over, a Burst Skill animation, a special standing pose and a unique SD model.
- Crust – Treat Chef: a reward from the October Mission Pass, available until October 31.
- Novel – Detective Nurse: a returning limited costume, back in the Cash Shop for a limited time.
The Mission Pass deadline sits three days after the Halloween event ends. If Treat Chef is on your list, finishing the pass before October 31 is the only way to keep her.
The Cinderella Special and Most Beautiful Maid
Cinderella won the Doki Doki NIKKE Global Popularity Poll IV, and the Cinderella Special is the celebration. It runs until December 3 and includes:
- Glass Curtsy costume for Cinderella.
- "Beautiful Me", her theme song.
- Limited avatar frames featuring the poll's top five: Cinderella, Liberalio, Little Mermaid, Arcana: Fortune Mate and Snow White: Heavy Arms.
Alongside it, the Most Beautiful Maid event (until October 28) follows Cinderella after her journey to Island Eater, where she finds a maid outfit and starts learning the job under Prince's guidance.
The popularity poll is a tradition tied to NIKKE's anniversary cycle, and last spring's 3.5th anniversary celebration, which promised the poll winner a tailor-made costume, is where that promise was made, and Glass Curtsy is the result.
Side Story, Outpost and Music
- Gingerbread House: a new Side Story following Old Tales as she crosses the sea in search of Hansel and Gretel. It unlocks after clearing Campaign Normal Stage 6-15.
- Halloween Outpost: the Outpost gets a Halloween theme for the season.
- TRACING THE STARS: the rhythm game adds Mustang's "EEEEEEEEE-ntertainment" for free, while the premium T.T.S. TETRA ENTERTAINMENT PACK V.1 unlocks nine more tracks from past events, including SHOW DOWN, Lucky Night, SODA! and FIGHT! ARK RANGER!.
Looking Ahead: The 4th Anniversary
October ends with a bigger moment. NIKKE's 4th anniversary livestream, titled "Here We Stand, Goddesses of Victory," airs on October 24 at 02:30 PT, which is around 16:30 WIB. Details are still slim, but anniversaries traditionally bring the year's largest batch of free recruits, so players unsure about Belorta may prefer to hold resources until the stream reveals what comes next.
