Goddess of Victory: NIKKE September 17 Update: New SSRs & More
By Michael Pras 16 September 2026, 04:00 WIB
Goddess of Victory: NIKKE goes into mandatory maintenance on September 17, 11:00–18:00 (UTC+9), and the patch that follows covers nearly every system in the game — two new SSR Nikkes, a full winter-themed Limited Select Recruit lineup, a new fully-voiced story event, an Equipment Modification overhaul, and structural changes to Champion Arena heading into its final Beta season. Here's everything confirmed.
New Nikkes
Two new SSR Attackers join Special Recruit on separate schedules:
- Guilty: Mighty Bunny — Water, Missilis, Attacker wielding the Rumble Stomper SR. Her Burst deals massive single-target damage in one hit. Available from the end of the September 17 maintenance through October 8, 4:59:59 (UTC+9).
- Sin: Swift Bunny — Water, Missilis, Attacker wielding the Blink Carrot SR. Her Burst boosts her own offense further to hit multiple enemies. Available September 24, 5:00:00 through October 15, 4:59:59 (UTC+9).
Both follow standard Special Recruit rules: a 4% overall SSR rate with a 2% rate for the featured unit, Gold Mileage Tickets earned per pull (200 of which can be exchanged directly for the featured Nikke in the Mileage Shop), and unused tickets carry over rather than expiring when the banner ends.
Limited Select Recruit: Winter Lineup
Six previously-released SSR Nikkes return through a Limited Select Recruit system, where players choose one target Nikke from the list and only that selection can appear from pulls:
- Rupee: Winter Shopper (Defender, Electric, Tetra Line) — resets Burst stage to 1 and taunts enemies on activation
- Anne: Miracle Fairy (Supporter, Wind, Missilis) — can revive fallen Attacker allies via Burst
- Ludmilla: Winter Owner (Attacker, Water, Tetra Line) — bonus damage against exposed cores with fast reload
- Mica: Snow Buddy (Supporter, Iron, Tetra Line) — dispels ally debuffs and stacks ATK/DEF buffs
- Maiden: Ice Rose (Defender, Electric, Elysion) — scales ATK with MP use, Burst consumes all MP for single-target damage
- Guillotine: Winter Slayer (Attacker, Water, Elysion) — gains EXP from basic attacks to level up an "adventure level" that strengthens her and Water Code allies
All six share the same September 17–October 8 window and the same 4%-overall/2%-featured pull rates as Special Recruit, with Gold Mileage Ticket exchange also available.
New and Returning Costumes
Three new limited costumes arrive tied to different acquisition paths:
- Sugar – Killer Rabbit — full VO, Burst cutscene, and SD motion, obtained through a dedicated Costume Gacha
- Mana – Drunken Rabbit — obtained via the LET'S DRINK PASS
- Crust – Treat Chef — obtained via the October Mission Pass
Six older costumes also return to the Cash Shop for the same window: Alice – Sweet Home, Mary – Medical Rabbit, Viper – Toxic Rabbit, Folkwang – Moist Rabbit, Exia – Hacker Rabbit, and Bay – Radiant Rabbit.
New Event: COIN RUSH SHOWDOWN
The patch's story centerpiece is a fully-voiced event built around a Big Three manufacturers' expo that spirals into a conspiracy plot for the Plan C squad. It runs in two story parts — STORY I available immediately after maintenance, STORY II opening September 24 — alongside a Challenge Stage for development materials and a minigame, THREE COMPANY RUMBLE, where players knock away incoming Nikkes while collecting coins to survive as long as possible. A 14-day EXPO CHECK-IN login event runs the same window, and a prior event, STAR ANIS, gets added permanently to the Archives for anyone who missed it. Weekend-only FULL BURST DAY bonuses also run September 26–28 and October 3–5, adding extra rewards in Interception and Simulation Room.
Simulation Room, Champion Arena, and Raids
Several endgame systems shift in this patch:
- Simulation Room – Overclock Mode (Season 10) opens September 22 through December 15, offering harder difficulty options for players who've cleared Difficulty 5 Sector C, with Skill and Burst Manuals awarded based on highest Core Ratio reached.
- Champion Arena Beta Season 39 starts September 24, and it's confirmed to be the second-to-last Beta season — Season 40 will be the final one before Champion Arena pauses temporarily to transition into its official version. That version brings squad reorganization before playoff matches, the ability to inspect cheered-for squads, and Top 8 (up from Top 4) SP Arena qualification.
- Solo Raid Season 41 runs September 24–October 1 against a Fire Code boss (Water-weak), and gains a new Battle Simulation option for Challenge Mode that will carry into all future Solo Raids.
- Coordinated Operation against the boss Land Eater runs September 25–27, playable solo-matched or with a five-Commander team.
- Arena group reshuffles hit Rookie Arena (September 30–October 1) and SP Arena (October 7–8).
Equipment Modification Overhaul
The Equipment Modification system gets a genuinely substantial rework:
- Locking an effect is now free — instead, players select a material upfront, which is only consumed if a reroll is actually triggered afterward.
- Custom Lock settings from a recent reroll can now be recalled and reapplied automatically instead of re-selected every time.
- A duplicate-result safeguard prevents rerolling into the exact same effect and value on an unlocked line (though "None" results can still repeat).
- A new summary view shows the cumulative total of all Overload Line effects on a piece of equipment at a glance.
- A warning now appears before rerolling away a maxed (Level 15) effect.
- The previous Level 100 requirement to access Overload Lines at all has been removed entirely.
New Commodities
- Costume Gacha (Sugar – Killer Rabbit) — 10-draw system using Bunny Sugar Cubes, purchasable in the Ticket Shop, running through October 8.
- LET'S DRINK PASS — premium pass leveled through daily missions, unlocking Mana's Drunken Rabbit costume at max level.
- October Mission Pass — runs the full month of October, unlocking Crust's Treat Chef costume at max level.
- New character packages go on sale in the Cash Shop after maintenance, running through October 15.
