Genshin Serenitea Pot Guide: How to Unlock It and What It Gives
By Sir Ayup
The Serenitea Pot is Genshin Impact's housing system: a pocket realm you decorate, where Tubby the teapot spirit sells upgrades and invited characters quietly earn you rewards. It unlocks at Adventure Rank 28 through a short Liyue quest, and while it never blocks story progress, it hands out weekly bonus Resin, Primogems and character EXP that most players would rather not leave on the table.
This guide from gamemarket.gg explains how to unlock the pot, how Tubby, Trust Rank and Adeptal Energy work, and which rewards make it worth your time.
How to Unlock the Serenitea Pot
You need two things: Adventure Rank 28 and the Liyue Archon Quest chapter "A New Star Approaches" completed. Once both are done, the World Quest "A Teapot to Call Home" becomes available from Madam Ping in Liyue Harbor. The quest is mostly short conversations and travel, and Madam Ping hands over the pot at the end.
The pot sits in the Gadget section of your inventory. Place it anywhere in the open world, interact with it and you step into your realm. Players still short of AR 28 usually close the gap fastest by levelling Adventure Rank efficiently through commissions, Resin and exploration.
Tubby, Realms and Layouts
Tubby, the teapot spirit standing near the mansion, runs everything inside the realm. Through Tubby you check your Trust Rank, collect Realm Currency, craft furnishings and buy items from the Realm Depot.
Your first visit asks you to pick a realm layout. Additional layouts unlock as your Trust Rank rises, and you can switch between them later, so the first choice is not permanent.
Trust Rank and Adeptal Energy
Two numbers drive most of the pot's progression, and they work differently:
- Trust Rank rises only when you craft a furnishing for the first time. Each rank unlocks more crafting slots, more companion places, extra layouts, larger currency storage and one-off rewards, including Primogems.
- Adeptal Energy rises as you place furnishings in a realm. It does not raise Trust Rank, but it sets how fast Realm Currency is generated, based on your highest-scoring realm. Around 20,000 Adeptal Energy in one realm unlocks the full generation rate.
Realm Currency stops generating once Tubby's storage is full, so collecting it every few days keeps the income flowing.
What the Realm Depot Sells
Realm Currency is spent at the Realm Depot, and a few items there are worth buying every time they are available:
- Transient Resin, available weekly from Trust Rank 6. It restores 60 Original Resin, which is a full extra run of most domains each week. It expires a couple of weeks after purchase, so it is best used rather than hoarded.
- Vials of Adeptal Speed, which finish furnishing crafts instantly.
- Seeds and garden plots for the realm's farming fields.
- Furnishings and blueprints to expand what you can craft.
The Transient Resin alone makes the pot worthwhile for most active players. Pairing it with a smart plan for spending Resin on artifacts stretches that weekly bonus further.
Companions and Gift Sets
Characters you own can be invited into your realm as companions. While they are there, they generate Companion EXP over time, which you collect from Tubby. Each companion receives the full amount, so inviting more characters does not dilute what each one earns.
Many characters also react to specific Gift Sets, furniture arrangements with their own theme. The first time a companion is invited to a matching set, you receive 20 Primogems, 20,000 Mora and ascension or talent materials. Most characters have two Gift Sets, so placing them is one of the few remaining sources of one-time Primogems for long-time players. Those Primogems add up alongside your other income when you plan pulls around pity and the 50/50.
Gardening, Wood and Weekend Visitors
Realms include fields where you can plant seeds bought from the Realm Depot. Crops are ready 70 hours after planting and do not wither if left alone. Gardening is not an efficient source of materials, but it is the easiest route to the related achievements.
Furnishings need wood, which you gather by hitting trees in the open world, each tree type giving its own wood. On weekends, Chubby, a travelling salesman, visits realms with rarer items, and his stock differs between realms, which is a good excuse to visit friends' teapots.
Is the Teapot Worth It?
For players who log in regularly, yes. Weekly Transient Resin, Companion EXP and one-time Primogems from Trust Rank and Gift Sets add real value for a few minutes a week. Building an elaborate home is entirely optional; a functional realm with enough Adeptal Energy unlocks almost every practical benefit. If you are still learning the basics, the Genshin Impact beginner's guide helps you decide where the teapot fits in your routine.
If you would rather skip the grind, you can browse Genshin Impact Accounts with progress already done, hand dailies, Resin and teapot upkeep to a verified player through Genshin Impact Hourly Services, or order fixed goals with Genshin Impact Boosting.
