How Miliastra Wonderland Works in Genshin, From Unlock to Ranked
By Sir Ayup
Miliastra Wonderland is the player-made game mode inside Genshin Impact, where you can play thousands of stages built by other players, from racing and puzzle games to competitive multiplayer matches. It has its own avatar, its own cosmetics, its own seasons and a ranked system that works very differently from the rest of the game. At gamemarket.gg, we explain how to unlock Miliastra Wonderland, how seasons work, how ranked play and rank points work, and which rewards are worth chasing. We update this guide every season.
What Is Miliastra Wonderland?

Miliastra Wonderland is a user-generated content mode. Every stage, called a Wonderland, is built by a player with the Miliastra Sandbox editor. The people who make these stages are called Craftspeople.
- Stages can be single-player, co-op or competitive, with support for up to 8 players
- Genres range from casual party games to roguelikes, management games and competitive multiplayer
- Stages are server-locked, so you can only play Wonderlands created on your own server
- The Miliastra Sandbox editor is only available on PC, but you can play Wonderlands on any platform
How to Unlock Miliastra Wonderland
According to the Genshin Impact Wiki, you unlock Miliastra Wonderland by completing the Archon Quest "Knights of Favonius" in Prologue: Act I. After that, you can open it from the Paimon Menu or the quick access button.
That makes it one of the earliest features in the game, so even brand-new accounts can try it.
Lobbies and Your Manekin
To play a Wonderland, you first enter a Wonderland Lobby:
- Public Lobbies hold up to 20 players, and their look changes with each season's theme
- Private Lobbies hold up to 12 players and last 3 hours after you create one
Inside Miliastra Wonderland, you play as a Manekin or Manekina, a fully customizable avatar. You can change their skin tone, hairstyle, eyes, makeup and outfit, and you can also use them while exploring Teyvat.
How Miliastra Wonderland Seasons Work
Each Miliastra Wonderland season lines up with a Genshin Impact version, and every season brings a new Event Ode, a new Miliastra Pass and new items in the Miliastra Shop.
A season has three phases:
- Preparation Phase
- Play Phase, the only phase where you can earn rank points and leaderboard scores
- Showcase Phase
You can still play Wonderlands during the Preparation and Showcase Phases, but points and leaderboard scores are not awarded.
Current Season: Polyphonic Season
The Polyphonic Season arrived with Version 7.2 on November 4, 2026. According to HoYoverse's update notes, it brings:
- The "Polyphonic Harmony" Event Ode with 4 new cosmetic sets
- 3 new sets in the Chronicles of the Realms and Epic of the Realms passes
- 3 limited-time sets in the Miliastra Shop, plus two returning sets
- 1 new Set Catalog in the "Encounter Echoes" Standard Ode
- The "Tinker's Treasures" set from the "Raiment Collection: Radiance Ablaze" event
- A new Public Lobby theme, "Nocturne Theater: Tales Most Wondrous"
Our Version 7.2 Miliastra outfits guide shows which of these sets you can earn for free.
How Ranked Play Works
Some Wonderlands have a Competitive Rank Ladder. On these stages, you earn or lose rank points after every match, and the top players appear on a leaderboard.
The most important thing to know is that each ranked Wonderland sets its own point rules. There is no single points table for the whole mode. HoYoverse gives Craftspeople a recommended starting point for a five-minute match:
- Victory: +60 points
- Defeat: -15 points
- Undecided: 0 points
- Escape (leaving the match): -60 points
Craftspeople can change all of these values. They can also decide whether:
- Matches played through Room Mode, instead of matchmaking, still count for rank points
- Win streaks give bonus points
- Leaving several matches in a row adds extra penalties
- Rank protection stops you from dropping to a lower tier after a loss
Before you play a ranked Wonderland, read the Craftsperson's Message on the stage information screen. That is where creators explain their exact point rules.
Rank Tiers and Points
Every tier is split into smaller ranks, and each rank covers 100 points:
- Novice (0 to 3): 0 to 399 points
- Rising Star (0 to 3): 400 to 799 points
- Linchpin (0 to 4): 800 to 1,299 points
- Ace (0 to 4): 1,300 to 1,799 points
- Grandmaster (0 to 5): 1,800 to 2,399 points
- Artificer (0 to 5): 2,400 to 2,999 points
- Legend: 3,000 points and above
Leaderboard Rules
- Each ranked Wonderland shows the top 1,000 players on your server, as well as your Friend List
- You need to have played in the current season and reached Rising Star or higher to appear on the ladder
- The ladder updates every 5 to 10 minutes until 04:00 on the last day of the season. After that, points and ranks stop updating
- The ladder resets when a new season begins
What Happens to Your Rank After a Season
When rank points carry over to a new season, your rank drops back by several tiers. Some examples from the default rules:
- Rising Star 0 or 1 drops to Novice 2
- Ace 3 or 4 drops to Linchpin 0
- Grandmaster 0 or 1 drops to Linchpin 0
- Artificer 0 to 5 drops to Linchpin 2
- Legend drops to Linchpin 3
Keep in mind that each Craftsperson decides whether their Wonderland carries points over at all, so some stages may start everyone from zero instead.
Rewards and Currencies
Miliastra Wonderland has its own reward system, separate from Primogems:
- Odes: the wish system for cosmetics. The Standard Ode "Encounter Echoes" uses Geodes of Replication, while limited Event Odes use Arcane Keystones and offer 5-star and 4-star cosmetic sets
- Miliastra Shop: spend Chronal Nexus on cosmetic sets, components and makeup
- Wonderland Level: level up to earn Geodes of Replication, Lustrous Materials, the ability to create Private Lobbies and the ability to ascend your Manekin
- Explore Wonderlands: complete missions for Geodes of Replication, cosmetics and Lustrous Materials
- Miliastra Pass: a battle pass with a free Chronicles of the Sky track and paid Chronicles of the Realms and Epic of the Realms tracks, leveled with Chronicle EXP from weekly quests
- Rapport: play with friends to raise Rapport. At Rapport level 3, you can gift cosmetics from your friend's Wishlist
Tips for New Players
- Clear Explore Wonderlands missions first. They are the easiest source of Geodes of Replication for the Standard Ode
- Do the weekly quests. They level up the Miliastra Pass, even on the free track
- Check the stage tags. Filters for genre, player count and duration help you find Wonderlands that fit your time
- Read the rules before ranked matches. Point values, Room Mode and penalties change from stage to stage
- Do not leave matches. Escaping usually costs the most points of any result
- Climb during the Play Phase. Points only count during that phase, so do not save your ranked matches for the end of the season
