Clash of Clans WWE Equipment Blast: Tag Tickets & Medals
By Sir Ayup 9 September 2026, 18:00 WIB
WWE Equipment Blast runs 9–22 September, and it's more important than an equipment event usually is — because it's one of the main sources of the Challenger Contracts you need to find John Cena's base at all.
Supercell's own line on that is blunt: no Contract, no title shot.
Here's how Tag Tickets work, and why this event feeds everything else in the season.
The short version
- Runs 9–22 September. One tracker lists an 8 September start, so check in-game.
- Collect Tag Tickets in Home Village battles to unlock rewards, troops and Champ Medals.
- Tag in more troops during attacks, or unlock extra medals as you destroy more of the enemy base.
- It's a main source of WWE Chests — which contain the Challenger Contracts required to hunt Cena.
- Battle Options Round 2 runs alongside it and can hand you Equipment Blast currency directly.
- Equipment Boost, 16–21 September, puts all Hero Equipment at max level.
How Tag Tickets work
The mechanic borrows its logic from tag-team wrestling, which is a neater fit for Clash of Clans than it sounds.
You collect Tag Tickets by attacking in Home Village battles. Those tickets unlock rewards, troops and Champ Medals along the event track.
Two things scale your return:
- Tag in more troops during your attack.
- Destroy more of the enemy's base to unlock extra medals.
So the event rewards commitment rather than efficiency. A quick two-star farming raid that leaves half the base standing earns less than a full clear. If you normally snipe collectors and leave, this event asks for the opposite habit for a fortnight.
Champ Medals are the currency that matters. In Clash of Clans event structures, medals feed the Trader shop where the genuinely valuable items sit — so the medal count is the number to optimise, not the ticket count.
The chest pipeline is the real reason to play
Here's the connection most coverage misses.
WWE Chests appear throughout September, and Supercell states they come mainly from Money in the Bank Rush and the WWE Equipment Blast.
Inside those chests: Ore, Magic Snacks, Event Medals, WWE decorations, the Action Figure Epic Equipment, previous Gold Pass skins — and Challenger Contracts.
Challenger Contracts are what let you search for Cena's base. The season's headline activity — raiding daily for a chance to find John Cena and claim the one-time Cody Rhodes statue — is gated behind them.
That reframes Equipment Blast entirely. It isn't a side event you can skip if equipment doesn't interest you. It's the pipeline that supplies the Contracts for the thing the whole month is built around.
If you want a shot at finding Cena, you need Contracts. If you want Contracts, you play Equipment Blast.
Battle Options Round 2 feeds it directly
Battle Options Round 2 runs 9–22 September — the exact same window.
It offers a three-way choice between a WWE troop, resources, or a stack of Equipment Blast currency.
That third option is the one to notice. Your Battle Options selection can top up your Equipment Blast progress directly, which means the two events aren't parallel — one can accelerate the other.
Decide based on what you actually need. If you're behind on the Equipment Blast track and want Contracts, take the currency. If your attacks are struggling and a temporary WWE troop would fix that, take the troop. Resources are the safe pick and usually the weakest one during an event month.
Use the Equipment Boost before spending Ore
Equipment Boost runs 16–21 September, and it puts all Hero Equipment at maximum level for six days.
This is the single best planning tool in the month, and it's easy to waste.
Ore is the hardest resource to accumulate in Clash of Clans, and upgrading the wrong equipment is an expensive mistake that takes weeks to recover from. A six-day window where everything runs at max level lets you test equipment you don't own at full strength before committing Ore to it.
Practical approach: during those six days, deliberately run loadouts you've been curious about rather than your comfort setup. Note which ones actually change your attack success rate. Then spend Ore on the winner after the boost ends.
Change one thing at a time. Testing three unfamiliar pieces at once tells you nothing about which one helped.
The rest of the fortnight
Equipment Blast doesn't run alone:
- 12–14 September — Resource Collector Boosts: Gold, Elixir and Dark Elixir collectors at 4x production for 48 hours, Town Hall 8 and above.
- 15 September — Mash-A-Rama cosmetics return, including the Legendary Mash-A-Rama scenery, alongside Jelly King, P.E.Q.Q.A, Ivan Warden, Lava Prince and Yeti Champion.
- 28–30 September — Friend or Foe Army Camps return for a second run.
- All month — four temporary troops rotate through Battle Options and the Medal Event track.
A date to verify
Supercell's official blog lists Equipment Blast as 9–22 September. At least one community tracker lists the start as 8 or 9 September, noting that official sources differ, and flags that the end clock hasn't been published precisely.
Check the event timer in-game rather than working from any calendar, including this one. A one-day difference at the start matters less than an unpublished end time does at the finish.
The deadline that doesn't move
Worth stating because it's the hardest cutoff in the season.
The six WWE Hero Skins are one-time-only offers. Cody Rhodes, Alexa Bliss, Iyo Sky, Kane and American Badass Undertaker at $9.99 each, plus Jey Uso through the Gold Pass, and the Money in the Bank XL Scenery.
When WWE: Search for Cena ends on 1 October, they leave for good — Supercell's wording, not an inference. They aren't returning in a later rotation.
Jey Uso is the cheapest route of the six, since he comes with the Gold Pass rather than as a separate purchase.
What to do
Attack fully, not efficiently. Tag Tickets and medals both scale with how much of the base you destroy.
Play Equipment Blast even if equipment doesn't interest you. It's a main source of the Challenger Contracts that gate the Cena hunt.
Take the Equipment Blast currency in Battle Options if you're chasing Contracts.
Test equipment during 16–21 September, then spend Ore after.
Decide on the skins before 1 October. One-time-only means what it says.
Note 28 September for the second Friend or Foe run — it's a two-day window at month's end and easy to miss.
Getting the village ready
A fortnight of full-clear attacking rewards accounts that can already three-star at their Town Hall level rather than ones still catching up on hero and troop upgrades — and that progression is the slow half of Clash of Clans. Browse verified Clash of Clans accounts if you'd rather raid from a developed village during the event, book Clash of Clans hourly services to keep upgrades and Clan Games progress moving, or push trophies through Clash of Clans boosting before the season ends on 1 October.
