Clash of Clans: Priority Gear to Grab in the Tag Team Equipment Blast (WWE-Themed)
By Michael Pras 10 September 2026, 02:00 WIB
Clash of Clans is running its WWE-themed "Tag Team Equipment Blast" from September 9 to 22, 2026, open to players at Town Hall 6 and above. The event doesn't add any new Hero Equipment — it's a catch-up event for gear that's already in the game. That makes the real question for most Chiefs not "what's new," but "which piece should I buy first for each hero."
What the Tag Team Equipment Blast Is About
Throughout the event, you collect Tag Tickets from Home Village battles to move along the event's reward track. Destroying enemy bases also gives you a chance at extra troops and Champ Medals, which can be spent in the Trader Shop. Along the reward track you'll pick up Ores and Magic Items to level up your Hero Equipment, several temporary WWE troops, and WWE-themed cosmetics — including the golden "Friendship Power" fist-bump decoration that shows up in your village while the event runs.
Since there's no new Hero Equipment this time, the focus is on buying or catching up on gear that's already been released, using Champ Medals — every item in the Event Shop is priced at 3100 Medals. With medals capped by how much you play over the two-week window, the order in which you buy matters, so you don't run out before covering the gear that actually moves the needle for your main hero.
What Hero Equipment Is
Hero Equipment is the system that splits each hero's old built-in ability into separate items you can equip, swap, and upgrade individually. Every hero can carry two equipment slots at once, so the combination you pick determines what extra ability that hero brings into battle. Because the two slots compete with each other, the order in which you complete gear directly affects how useful that hero is before the rest of the set catches up.
Below is the priority order per hero, based on community testing during the event, ranked from the piece most worth buying first.
Grand Warden
- Fireball — the top priority, since it powers the Grand Warden's ranged strike, the piece used most often in general attack setups.
- Heroic Torch — second pick, pairs well with the Fireball to add extra support for troops near the Warden.
- Lavaloon Puppet — last in line, since its value is more strategy-specific and is best chased once the two pieces above are covered.
Royal Champion
- Rocket Spear — first target, since it supports the Royal Champion's signature long-range strike.
- Electro Boots — second priority, adding mobility and durability as she pushes through defenses.
- Frost Flake — placed last, as a supporting piece once the two core items are secured.
Barbarian King
- Spiky Ball — top priority, as it's the piece used most often in Barbarian King attack combos to support the army.
- Snake Bracelet — second, adding durability for the King on the front line.
- Stick Horse — third priority, giving him extra mobility to reach targets faster.
- Giant Gauntlet — last, still useful but better chased once the three items above are covered.
Archer Queen
- Character figure — first priority, since it adds extra troop support that fits her attack style.
- Magic Mirror — second, boosting the Archer Queen's durability when she's surrounded.
- Frozen Arrow — third priority, best equipped once the two pieces above round out her kit.
Minion Prince
- Meteor Staff — prioritized first, since it supports the Minion Prince's area-damage strike.
- Dark Crown — the second piece to complete once the Meteor Staff is equipped.
Spending Champ Medals Efficiently
Since every item in the Event Shop costs the same 3100 Medals, the most efficient approach is deciding which hero you actually attack with most, then following the priority order above for that hero before moving on to another. Chasing extra gear for a hero you rarely use only makes sense once your main hero's core pieces are done — the event window is just two weeks, and your medal total is capped by how actively you play Battles and Ranked Battles.
