The Warlord Tournament comes back on 13 August with reworked rules, and the format rewards something different from the rest of Arena Breakout: Infinite. Ranking isn't decided by how long you survive or how many players you kill — it's decided by your squad's highest loot value, with an explicit note that a high score in the early phase guarantees a better ranking. On top of that, Dog Tags are worth 70,000 Koen in this mode, which turns killing other Operators from a risk into a revenue stream. Entry is gated hard: ACE V rank, a 40 million Koen stash, a 400,000 Koen loadout, and a 50,000 Koen entry fee. Here's how the scoring works, what the new rules change, and how to approach a raid where value beats survival.

Entry requirements: this is endgame content

Before anything else, the gate:

  • ACE V rank reached
  • 40,000,000 Koen or more in your stash
  • 400,000 Koen or more in your loadout
  • 50,000 Koen entry fee per run

That's a serious barrier, and it's worth stating plainly so nobody spends a week preparing for content they can't enter. A 40 million Koen stash requirement means the tournament is aimed squarely at established accounts, not at players still building their first serious kit.

If you're below that threshold, the rest of the Kamona Summer Festival is where your time is better spent — the free tracks there don't check your stash.

How ranking actually works

Rankings are based on your squad's highest loot value, and the tournament's own briefing adds a crucial qualifier: a high score in the early phase guarantees a better ranking.

That single line reshapes the strategy. This is not a mode where you play carefully, accumulate steadily and hope to peak at the end. Front-loading value is explicitly rewarded. A squad that banks a huge score early sits above squads that reach the same number later.

The practical translation: go for high-value areas immediately rather than working up to them. Caution costs you ranking even when it keeps you alive.

How to win a raid

The loop is stated simply: loot, extract, and the top three extraction values win.

Note what's missing from that sequence — surviving to the end of the timer isn't the goal, and neither is being the last squad standing. Extraction is the scoring event. Loot in your bag when you die is loot that scored nothing.

That creates a genuine tension every experienced extraction-shooter player will recognise: every extra minute in the raid is both more potential value and more risk of losing all of it. In a mode that rewards early scores, the answer leans toward extracting sooner than instinct suggests.

Dog Tags at 70,000 Koen change everything

In the standard game, Dog Tags are a trophy. Here they're worth 70,000 Koen each — more than the entry fee, from a single kill.

That inverts the usual risk calculation. Normally, fighting another squad costs you ammo, medical supplies and possibly your loadout, in exchange for whatever they happened to be carrying. In this mode, every Operator you eliminate adds a guaranteed 70,000 to your extraction value regardless of what they were carrying.

Two consequences:

  • PvP becomes a loot strategy, not just a threat to manage. Squads that avoid all contact are leaving reliable value on the table.
  • A well-armed squad hunting players may out-earn a squad looting containers. Four kills is 280,000 Koen in Dog Tags alone, before anything the victims were carrying.

That said, the entry fee and 400,000 Koen loadout requirement mean a lost fight is expensive. The mode rewards picking fights you win, not picking fights.

Elimination bonus

Separately from Dog Tag value, the top three players with the most Operator eliminations earn bonus Rank XP.

That's a second incentive layered onto the first, and it means the highest-scoring runs will likely come from squads that both loot efficiently and fight. Pure looters and pure hunters are each leaving one reward stream untouched.

New feature: Squad Info during raids

The tournament adds a quality-of-life change with real tactical weight: players can now check Squad Info during raids.

Being able to see what an enemy squad is running mid-raid changes engagement decisions. A squad carrying high-tier weapons is both a bigger threat and a bigger payday; a lightly equipped squad is a cheaper source of Dog Tags. Information you previously only had after the fight is now available before it.

Use it. In a mode where a wrong fight costs a 400,000 Koen loadout, knowing who you're about to engage is worth more than the seconds it takes to check.

No rank carryover between tournaments

Two rules worth internalising:

  • Ranks do not carry over between tournaments.
  • All ranks reset at the start of each new tournament.

This cuts both ways, and mostly in your favour. Missing a tournament costs you nothing long-term — there's no cumulative ladder to fall down. And starting a tournament late isn't fatal, because everyone begins from the same reset.

What it does mean is that each tournament is a self-contained sprint. Effort banked in one doesn't compound into the next, so treat each run as its own event rather than as progress toward something.

Practical approach

  • Bank value early. The ranking explicitly rewards it.
  • Extract sooner than feels natural. Loot on a corpse scores zero.
  • Check Squad Info before committing to a fight. The information is free; the loadout isn't.
  • Take fights you're favoured in. 70,000 Koen per tag is excellent value; a lost 400,000 Koen loadout is not.
  • Don't chase a bad tournament. With no carryover, a rough run costs you the entry fee and nothing else.

Where it sits in the festival

Warlord Tournament runs alongside the wider Kamona Summer Festival, which opens on the same day and stretches through mid-September — including the Warlord Trial, bonus missions inside the tournament that award extra rewards for objectives you'd be completing anyway.

Also worth clearing first: the Resident Evil 4 crossover deadlines land inside this window, with its Supply Passes needing to be spent before they expire. Our Resident Evil 4 crossover breakdown covers what's still claimable, and our Winter Festival guide shows how these seasonal cycles have run previously.

Meet the entry requirements

A 40 million Koen stash and a 400,000 Koen loadout are the real barrier here — and stash depth is the slowest thing to build in an extraction shooter.
