Arena Breakout: Infinite Season 7 Utopia — Everything Coming September 16

Arena Breakout: Infinite's Season 7, titled Utopia, launches September 16, 2026, and it's the extraction shooter's biggest tonal shift yet. Developer MoreFun Studios is building the season around a biohazard outbreak in Kamona, adding zombie-infested PvPvE zones, a standalone PvE survival mode, an in-match merchant system, two new weapons, and a fresh perk and progression layer. Here's a breakdown of what's actually changing when the update goes live.
A Biohazard Crisis Hits Kamona
The season's central hook is Infected Zones — areas across three existing maps (Farm, Valley, and Airport) that turn into biohazard hotspots. Six new mutant enemy types will spawn across these zones, and entering one triggers a shift in the map itself: the lighting drops to night, heavy rain sets in, and dense fog rolls through, cutting visibility and changing how fights play out compared to a normal raid.
Infected Zones also bring their own loot layer. Biohazard-themed containers spawn alongside glowing hand and footprints that lead players toward hidden caches, and emergency biohazard missions give another reason to push into these areas instead of avoiding them. It's a PvPvE space in the traditional sense — you're still risking a fight with other extractors while also managing the mutant threat, so treat an Infected Zone as added risk with added reward, not just a reskinned area of the map.
A New PvE Mode: Biochemical Endless
For players who want the zombie theme without PvP risk, Season 7 adds Biochemical Endless Mode on the Airport map. It's a dedicated PvE experience with no bring-in or bring-out — your existing gear isn't on the line, since you pick a class and starting loadout at the start of each run instead of bringing raid gear in or extracting it out.
The mode plays as a wave survival format: mutants come in increasingly difficult waves, and staying alive longer earns merit points that feed into a global leaderboard. It's a lower-stakes way to engage with the zombie content and compete for a ranking without touching your stash.
In-Match Merchant System
Season 7 also introduces merchants players can interact with directly inside a match. Through them, you can offload junk items you'd otherwise carry out for nothing, buy mystery boxes for a gamble on loot, and purchase intel on the location of high-value vaults. It's a new decision point mid-raid — spend time and resources engaging with a merchant, or keep moving and stick to the plan you came in with.
New Weapons and Balance Changes
Two new weapons land with Utopia. The A545 is a top-tier assault rifle positioned to compete directly with the U191 and H416, giving players another high-end option in that weapon class. The AK-15SC is a compact, short-barreled build chambered in 7.62x39mm, built for close-to-mid-range fights rather than long engagements.
Alongside the new guns, Season 7 adds seasonal attachments for existing weapons — the first time ABI has done this. A Binary Trigger for the M110 lets it fire two rounds per trigger pull, a Full-Auto Kit turns the PCC9 into a fully automatic weapon, and new barrel modifications are coming for the P90 and F2000.
The wider balance pass touches effective firing ranges across weapon classes, buffs to DMR and marksman rifles like the M110 and VSS, improved headshot consistency, reduced random armor penetration variance, and a horizontal recoil adjustment for the H416. Together, these changes are meant to widen the pool of weapons that are actually viable in the current meta rather than funneling everyone toward the same two or three guns.
New Perks and Progression
Three new core perks arrive with the season: one that reduces how much wearing a helmet muffles your hearing, one that adds four extra 1x1 inventory slots, and one that lets you detect hidden compartments inside loot containers. Combined, they push toward builds that reward careful looting and audio awareness rather than just raw stat stacking.
Season 7 also adds new collectible items, including red-tier (gold-rarity) drops tied directly to the season's story — a secret reagent said to be behind the outbreak — plus interactive musical instruments, a lute and a flute, as lighter collectible additions. On top of the content, MoreFun is upgrading the game's lighting and overall visual atmosphere to make the new biohazard zones feel more immersive.
Getting Ready for September 16
With Infected Zones spread across three maps, a full standalone PvE mode, new weapon balance, and a fresh perk layer all landing at once, Season 7 touches nearly every part of how a raid plays out. Players who want a head start should expect the biggest early adjustments around weapon balance (especially if the A545 and H416 were part of your loadout) and around deciding how much time to spend in Infected Zones versus sticking to familiar extraction routes.
