The Solo Leveling Arise 2.5 Anniversary update arrives on October 22, 2026, and Netmarble is celebrating 70 million players with up to 500 Special Draw Tickets, up to 10,000 Essence Stones, a new Water Hunter in Holy Guardian Barrier Go Gunhee, a new Fire Successor in Velvet and a level cap increase for Sung Jinwoo. New Hunter: Holy Guardian Barrier Go Gunhee
Holy Guardian Barrier Go Gunhee is an alternate version of the Hunters Association chairman, coming from a forgotten timeline created by the Cup of Reincarnation. In that world, he chose to dedicate his renewed youth to protecting every Hunter.

- Type: Buster, introduced as a Defense-based Hunter
- Style: a martial artist using the power of the Four Divine Beasts: Azure Scale, Black Tortoise Shell, White Tiger Fang and Vermilion Wing
- Recommended partners: Meri Laine and Elena Renault
New Successor: Velvet
Velvet is the Successor of Fangs, a fighter who felt no fear at the scene of the massacre left by Adan, the Monarch of Fangs, and inherited his ferocity.
- Element: Fire
- Style: switches stances freely in combat, builds power as her attacks land, then releases it through empowered strikes unique to each stance
- Ultimate: turns her into an apex predator who grows stronger as the fight goes on
Both new characters arrive at a good time. The new season of Hall of the Monarchs, starting in Week 3, features Davorka, Tarr and Rockpasa with Fire and Water as their weak elements.
Sung Jinwoo Gets Stronger
In ACT 18: Attack of the Monarchs, a massive Gate covers the sky above Seoul and three Monarchs appear before Sung Jinwoo. To face them, he gains:
- a max level increase from 160 to 170
- a new Job Change, Requiem
- a new Ultimate Skill, Commander's Authority
New Modes and Systems
Deep Containment Zone
A new four-Hunter team mode against Experiments, variant bosses that trigger abnormal effects such as wave impacts, extra monster spawns, zone collapses and gas leaks. It rewards careful skill planning more than other three-Hunter content.
Figure
A new growth system for Sung Jinwoo, Successors and Hunters. Beating bosses such as Igris, Kargalgan and the 8 Monarchs on Expert difficulty leaves behind Figures that unlock further growth.
Battlefield of Infinity
The boss relay challenge introduced in September as the Infinite Relay Boss Challenge returns under its official name. Defeat as many bosses as you can within a time limit, in both Sung Jinwoo Mode and Hunter Mode.
Seasonal Cards
Seasonal Cards replace Special Commissions. Collect cards featuring iconic webtoon scenes, Hunters and monsters to complete sets for rewards, with duplicates converting into Card Points.
Harder Difficulty Tiers
Higher difficulties are coming to Unstable Dungeon, Battlefield of Chaos, Mind Rift, Workshop of Brilliant Light and Simulation Gate, with bigger clear rewards. Exclusive honor rewards for first clears are planned after the November update.
