RuneScape Leagues II Equilibrium: Lock In Your Build Now
Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM launched on 10 August at 12:00 UTC and runs until the game update on 21 September — six weeks, of which you've now used one. Before anything else, the reassurance that should shape how you play the next five: every path can earn enough League Points to reach all of this year's rewards. There is no build that locks you out of the reward track. The strategic weight sits entirely in what you unlock and what you leave behind, not in fear of missing out. That makes week two the point where exploratory play should give way to a committed plan — because the regions and Blessing path you choose now are what you'll be living with for the rest of the league.
This isn't a phased event
Worth stating plainly, because it changes what "week two" means. Leagues doesn't drop new content on a weekly schedule the way seasonal events in other MMOs do. The whole league was live on day one.
So there's nothing new to log in for this week. What matters is where your progress sits and what you commit to next — which is arguably a more useful thing to think about than a content drop would be.
Where you should be by now
If you started near launch, a reasonable week-two position looks like this:
- Misthalin and Havenhythe explored, since these are your starting regions
- Karamja unlocked, which comes after your first task milestone
- Several Relic tiers claimed, with your XP multiplier climbing above the base 5x
- A clear idea of which further regions you want, even if you haven't committed yet
If you're behind that, you're not in trouble. Five weeks is a substantial runway at accelerated rates, and the auto-completed questlines mean you skip the requirement grind that normally slows a fresh account.
The region decision is the real strategy
This is where EQUILIBRIUM differs most from the first league. You don't get all of Gielinor — you choose a limited set of regions, and each unlocks different bosses, quests, training methods and equipment.
Three things to weigh:
What you actually want to do. Regions gate content, so choosing for bosses you enjoy fighting beats choosing for theoretical efficiency you won't use.
Blessing Tasks live in regions. Your combat progression path runs through Blessing Tasks across your chosen regions, so region choice and Blessing progression are the same decision made twice. Pick regions without checking what Blessing Tasks they hold and you may find your intended path unreachable.
What you're giving up is permanent for this league. There's no re-spec. That's the point of the design, and it's why deciding deliberately in week two beats drifting into a set of regions by accident.
Blessings: Order, Chaos or Balance
Blessings are new to this league and form a dedicated combat progression path, unlocked by completing Blessing Tasks across your chosen regions.
The structure:
- Eight tiers to progress through
- Meaningful choices between Order, Chaos and Balance — the belief systems of Saradomin, Zamorak and Guthix respectively
- God Tier Blessings at the end, determined by the path you followed
The league's whole theme is built around Balance, with Guthix at the centre of this alternate Gielinor — but the design explicitly supports all three routes.
Commit to a path rather than hedging. Eight tiers is a long progression, and splitting your Blessing Tasks across competing paths is the clearest way to arrive at week six without a God Tier Blessing.
Relics and the XP curve
Relics are unlocked by earning League Points through tasks, and they've been rebalanced from the ground up this season for more meaningful choices.
The XP scaling is the part that rewards early investment: rates start at a 5x multiplier and increase as you unlock more Relics. That compounds — Relics claimed early accelerate everything you do afterwards, so front-loading task completion is worth more than an equivalent effort later.
Golden Touch is worth a specific mention as one of this league's headline Relics, transforming Agility and Thieving into wealth generation.
Do the Account Nomination now
The feature most likely to be forgotten until it's too late.
Account Nomination lets you play on your league character but send the final rewards to another account of your choice — typically your main. Your league character is separate from your main account and included with your existing membership.
Set this up rather than assuming you'll remember in September. It costs nothing to configure early.
What the league removes
Two caps have been lifted for EQUILIBRIUM, and both change how combat feels:
- The 30,000 damage cap is gone
- The Life Points cap has been removed
Combined with Blessings and Relic stacking, that's what makes the league's power fantasy work. If you've been playing conservatively out of habit, the ceiling is genuinely higher here than in the main game.
Trophies
Performance is rewarded with trophies ranging from bronze to dragon, and the structure is forgiving: all trophies up to the highest tier you unlock are awarded, so you're not choosing between tiers.
Combined with every path being able to reach the full reward track, the system is built to reward participation rather than punish suboptimal builds.
Free-to-play players can join
Easy to miss and genuinely significant: EQUILIBRIUM has dedicated Free-to-Play League Worlds, so membership isn't required to take part.
If you've been away from RuneScape or never played it, this is an unusually low-barrier entry point — a fresh character at accelerated rates, no subscription needed, and no requirement to know the main game.
Your week two checklist
- Set your Account Nomination if you haven't.
- Decide your region set deliberately — check which Blessing Tasks each region holds before committing.
- Commit to one Blessing path. Order, Chaos or Balance. Not two.
- Front-load Relic unlocks. The XP multiplier compounds, so points earned now are worth more than points earned in September.
- Stop optimising for reward anxiety. Every path reaches all rewards. Play the content you actually enjoy.
- Note the end date: 21 September, at the game update rather than the end of the day.
Five weeks left
Pacing is the real challenge in a six-week league. The players who finish strongest are generally the ones who committed to a plan early and ran it, rather than the ones who kept their options open and arrived at week five with a scattered build.
Week two is when that plan should be locked in.
Where the rewards actually land
One thing worth remembering when you plan the next five weeks: your league character is Ironman-restricted and can't be traded to, but Account Nomination sends your final rewards to the account of your choice — usually your main. So the account that ends up holding everything you earn is the one you already have.
If that main has been sitting untouched, browse verified RuneScape 3 accounts for maxed totals, quest-heavy builds and Ironman progress from ID-verified sellers, hire a player by the hour with RuneScape 3 hourly services to keep skills training while you're in the league, or set defined targets with RuneScape 3 boosting for specific skills, quests and endgame bosses.
