MONGIL: Star Dive 1.4 Guide: Sorin Contracts and Elemental Sanctum
By Sir Ayup 11 October 2026, 04:00 WIB
MONGIL: Star Dive 1.4 added two new pieces of endgame content with the Ashen Cradle Lullaby update: Sorin, a new Legendary Conquest Monster you can turn into a permanent Legendary Monsterling, and the Elemental Sanctum, a weekly challenge built around elements, Trials and character Blessings. At gamemarket.gg, we went through the official 1.4 update notes to explain how to unlock both, how the Sorin contract system works, which elements to bring each week and how to push your Blessing Level in the Sanctum. One date matters right away: Sorin leaves the rotation on October 12 and only returns a week later.
What 1.4 Adds to the Endgame

The Ashen Cradle Lullaby update went live on September 29, 2026, alongside the Half Anniversary celebrations. If you missed the build-up, our 1.4 preview of Ashen Cradle Lullaby covers the new region, story and characters.
For endgame players, the two key additions are:
- Legendary Conquest: Sorin, unlocked after Episode 2
- Elemental Sanctum, unlocked after Episode 3
Both reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC, so they fit into the same weekly routine.
Sorin: How to Unlock the Legendary Conquest

Sorin is a new Legendary Conquest Monster that can be challenged once you have cleared Episode 2. That low requirement means most active players can start farming it right away.
Sorin ran as the only Legendary Conquest Monster for the first two weeks after the update. After that, Legendary Conquest Monsters rotate weekly, so Sorin will not always be available.
How to Get the Sorin Legendary Monsterling
Defeating Sorin is only the first step. The real reward is the Legendary Monsterling, which you build up through a Contract system:
- Farm Serpent Dragon's Orb Fragments by battling Sorin in Legendary Conquest.
- Go to Menu, then Legendary Monster, then Sorin, and enter a Contract. Each contract consumes Serpent Dragon's Orb Fragments.
- Each contract grants Trust based on a set probability.
- Fill the Trust gauge on your first contract to receive the Sorin Legendary Monsterling.
- From the second contract onward, filling the Trust gauge raises the Monsterling's grade.
Because Trust is granted by probability, the number of contracts you need can vary. Farming Orb Fragments every week Sorin is available is the most reliable way to get through the early contracts.
Once obtained, the Monsterling can be equipped, enhanced and broken through from the Character menu under Legendary Monsterling.
Why the Sorin Monsterling Is Worth Chasing
Legendary Monsterlings work differently from regular ones, and a few rules make Sorin especially valuable:
- It can be equipped to multiple characters at the same time. You do not have to choose one character to benefit.
- It cannot be dismantled or used as enhancement or fusion material, so there is no risk of losing it by mistake.
- Sorin appears beside the equipped character as an Animari companion. You can hide it in Camera Mode if you prefer.
- It is also added to the Link Chain and the Monster Codex.
Being usable across your whole roster makes Sorin one of the best long-term investments in the update. Every grade you add benefits each character it is equipped to.
Sorin's Side Quest
A related side quest, "Sorin, the Serpent Dragon Who Yearns for the Heavens", has stricter requirements than the battle itself. To unlock it, you need to:
- Clear Episode 6
- Complete the side quest "The Monster That Moves the World"
- Own the Sorin Legendary Monsterling
That makes it a natural goal after your first successful contract.
Legendary Conquest Schedule and Recommended Elements
The update notes list the Legendary Conquest rotation for the weeks after launch. Each week has recommended elements that deal better damage and resistant elements that perform worse:
- September 30 to October 4: Sorin. Recommended: Ice, Fire, Lightning. Resistant: Lightning, Wind, Earth.
- October 5 to October 11: Sorin. Recommended: Ice, Fire, Wind. Resistant: Wind, Earth, Lightning.
- October 12 to October 18: Reginula. Recommended: Ice, Fire, Earth. Resistant: Earth, Lightning, Wind.
- October 19 to October 25: Sorin. Recommended: Wind, Ice, Fire. Resistant: Lightning, Earth, Ice.
Two things stand out. First, Ice and Fire are recommended in every week, so a strong Ice or Fire team covers the whole rotation. Second, the same element can appear on both lists in a single week, so check the in-game details before committing a team.
The most urgent date is October 11. That is your last day to farm Sorin before Reginula takes over, and Sorin will not return until October 19.
Elemental Sanctum: How It Works

The Elemental Sanctum is the second major addition. It unlocks after clearing Episode 3 and resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC.
Its structure is simple to learn:
- There are five Sanctums, one for each element.
- You choose a stage by difficulty, from Lv. 20 to Lv. 60.
- Each Sanctum has one recommended element, and every other element is treated as resistant.
- Each stage has three waves, with a boss in every wave. Clearing all three bosses completes the stage.
The bosses follow a pattern. The humanoid boss in the final wave is fixed by day of the week, while the bosses in Waves 1 and 2 rotate weekly. If a particular final boss gives you trouble, waiting for a different day can make the stage easier.
Since each Sanctum strongly favours one element, you need several elemental teams to make full progress. Wind players can look at our Esther build guide, especially since Esther received balance adjustments in 1.4, while Earth teams benefit from a reliable healer like the one covered in our Daisy build guide.
Trials, Bond Fragments and Blessings
The deeper layer of the Elemental Sanctum is its progression system, which links three pieces together.
Bond Fragments are items that let you apply Trials inside the Sanctum. Trials add challenges such as boss buffs, character debuffs and combat environment changes. You get Bond Fragments from Summon Fragments and other sources, and each one can only be used in the Sanctum that matches its element.
Element Level rises as you apply Trials. Clearing a stage with Trials applied raises your Blessing Level.
Blessing grants effects to characters of the matching element. As your Blessing Level reaches certain milestones, the Element Guidance level also increases, and its effects are unique to each character. You can check each character's Element Guidance under Character, then Skills.
In short, the loop works like this:
- Apply Trials using Bond Fragments.
- Raise your Element Level by clearing harder, Trial-boosted runs.
- Increase your Blessing Level, which strengthens every character of that element.
- Unlock higher Element Guidance, adding character-specific effects.
A Combination system also lets you merge five Bond Fragments of the same grade, plus Gold, into one higher-grade Bond Fragment. If you have a pile of low-grade Fragments, combining them is a good way to push your best element further.
Useful Features for Both Modes
Several smaller 1.4 changes make the new content easier to manage:
- Auto Clear: instantly claim rewards for previously cleared Sanctum stages and their lower levels.
- Daily Bonus: extra rewards for playing specific Sanctums on specific days.
- Quick Power-Up: automatically levels characters, enhances skills and equips recommended gear and Monsterlings. If materials run short, it points you to the right dungeon.
- Pierce Rate: a new stat that ignores part of the target's DEF, useful against tanky bosses in both modes.
A related side quest, "The Queen's Special Training", also unlocks alongside the Elemental Sanctum.
Sorin and Elemental Sanctum Checklist
- Farm Sorin before October 11: Reginula takes over from October 12 to 18.
- Bring Ice or Fire to Legendary Conquest: both are recommended in every listed week.
- Keep contracting until the Trust gauge fills: your first full gauge gives the Sorin Legendary Monsterling.
- Equip Sorin to multiple characters: Legendary Monsterlings can be shared.
- Clear Episode 3 to open the Elemental Sanctum and use Auto Clear for stages you have already beaten.
- Focus Bond Fragments on one element first: raising one Blessing Level is better than spreading Fragments thin.
- Combine spare Fragments: five of the same grade plus Gold make one of a higher grade.
- Return on October 19: Sorin comes back for another week.
Version 1.4 gives MONGIL: Star Dive its most layered endgame so far. Sorin offers a permanent, shareable Legendary Monsterling, and the Elemental Sanctum turns your elemental teams into a long-term progression project. Use the remaining days with Sorin wisely, then build your Sanctum Blessings one element at a time. For a few free extras along the way, keep an eye on the latest MONGIL: Star Dive redeem codes.
