MLBB October 2026 Starlight: Hayabusa Kitsune Shadow Skin
By Michael Pras 18 September 2026, 23:59 WIB
Hayabusa is headlining Mobile Legends' October 2026 Starlight Pass with a new skin called Kitsune Shadow. Mobile Legends' official announcement describes it as the first Starlight skin to include exclusive skill sound effects, and it is announced alongside Kalea "Tideborn Sailor." The pass is expected to go live at the start of October, with October 1 the date being pointed to. The preview art carries a note that contents may change before release, so treat everything below as a preview.
A Starlight Pass is Mobile Legends' monthly pass. It centers on one exclusive skin and adds a set of extras around it. Buying it makes you a Starlight Member. Here is what the October pass shows so far.
What's in the October 2026 Starlight Pass
The preview image lists six items:
- Default skin: the main Kitsune Shadow look.
- Painted skin: a recolored version of the skin, in warmer gold and flame tones.
- Sacred Statue: a Hayabusa statue display item for your profile.
- Trail effect: a movement trail that the preview shows as a flowing blue wave.
- New skill SFX: the exclusive skill sound effects covered below.
- 100 Diamond painted skin: a further painted variant listed at 100 Diamonds.
The preview doesn't say how the 100 Diamond variant is obtained or whether it sits inside the pass. Wait for the official reward list before assuming either.
What you get as a Starlight Member
The pass runs across the whole month. Along with the headline skin, members earn extra rewards by progressing through Starlight levels, and the preview shows the painted skin, Sacred Statue and trail effect among them. Some months also include cosmetic extras such as emotes. October's preview doesn't show one, so treat an emote as possible but unconfirmed.
Regular vs Plus pricing
There are two paid tiers. Recent Starlight months have priced the regular pass at 300 Diamonds and Starlight Plus, the premium tier, at 750 Diamonds. That is the community consensus for recent months. October's price hasn't been separately confirmed, and prices can change, so check the in-game pass page before buying.
Plus is the premium version. In recent months it has added an instant jump of several levels and bonus Starlight Points from tasks on top of the regular rewards. October's Plus perks haven't been detailed yet.
Which tier fits depends on how you play:
- Regular suits you if you mainly want the skin and its rewards and will play a normal amount through the month.
- Plus suits you if you'll play steadily enough to use the extra points and the level head start.
- Plus may go partly unused if you only log in occasionally, since the faster progression only helps when you earn points.
What Kitsune Shadow looks like
The name points to kitsune, the fox spirits of Japanese folklore, and the art follows through. The default skin gives Hayabusa a fox-style mask, dark hair, a face wrap, and cold blue-and-white armor pieces that fit the ninja theme. The painted variants change the mood. One goes for gold and ember tones, and the other for white hair with violet accents and a small purple fox spirit at his hip.
All of this comes from the preview art rather than gameplay footage, so animations and skill visuals could still differ at launch.
Exclusive skill sound effects
Skill SFX are the audio cues that play when you cast abilities. Kitsune Shadow is described as the first Starlight skin to give a hero its own set of these, so it changes how Hayabusa sounds as well as how he looks. The official announcement doesn't detail what the new audio sounds like. Expect that to become clear once the skin appears in the game or in official previews.
Is this pass a fit for your account?
Whether the pass suits you depends on the roster and habits you already have.
The case for it
- You play Hayabusa regularly. A skin you'll see every match gets more use than one for a hero you rarely pick.
- You value audio. If skill sounds matter to how you play, this is a first for a Starlight skin.
- You like collecting a full set. The skin, painted variant, statue and trail all center on one hero.
The case against it
- Hayabusa isn't in your rotation. If you rarely play assassins, a skin for him won't come up in your matches.
- You can't play consistently through the month. A monthly pass is worth more when you log in regularly, and gaps can leave rewards unclaimed.
- You'd rather wait for confirmed details. Some of the pass, like the painted variants and the full rewards, is still unclear, and waiting costs you little.
How it compares with recent Starlight months
If you've followed the past few months, the pattern is one headline skin per month. Recent passes covered Hanzo's "Fangs of Slaughter" in September, Aulus's "Starwake Corsair" in August, and Belerick's "Smouldering Fortress" in July. Hayabusa's pass follows the same one-skin-a-month rhythm, but the skill SFX gives it a feature the earlier ones didn't announce.
