Is Fortnite Crew Still Worth It? What You Get Each Month Now
By Sir Ayup
Fortnite Crew is getting its biggest shake-up since it launched. Starting December 5, 2026, the monthly subscription pays out more V-Bucks the longer you stay subscribed, adds an XP boost for you and your squad, and drops two perks many players signed up for: the OG Pass and the monthly Crew Pack Outfits. At gamemarket.gg, we explain what Fortnite Crew includes, how the new V-Bucks tiers work, what you lose after December 5 and whether the subscription is still worth it. We update this guide whenever Epic changes Fortnite Crew.
How Much Does Fortnite Crew Cost?
The price is not changing. Fortnite Crew stays at $11.99 USD per month, and existing subscribers do not need to do anything to keep their subscription when the update rolls out. Prices in other currencies vary by region, so check the in-game store for your local price.
What Fortnite Crew Includes After December 5
According to Epic Games, Crew members will get:
- Monthly V-Bucks, starting at 1,000 and rising to 1,600 based on how long you stay subscribed
- +20% Fortnite XP for you
- +10% XP for party members without Crew while they play with you
- The Fortnite Battle Pass
- The Music Pass
- The LEGO Pass
- Rocket Pass Premium
The New V-Bucks Tiers
Before the change, every subscriber got 800 V-Bucks a month. From December 5, the amount depends on your tier:
- Core (1 to 2 months): 1,000 V-Bucks
- Bronze (3 to 5 months): 1,200 V-Bucks
- Silver (6 to 11 months): 1,400 V-Bucks
- Gold (12+ months): 1,600 V-Bucks
Your tier is based on how many consecutive months you have been subscribed in the past 12 months. Epic's example: if you subscribed on June 15 and stayed subscribed, you will reach 7 months on your December 15 billing date and land in Silver.
If You Cancelled Before
Timing matters if you are thinking of coming back:
- Resubscribe between December 6 and December 31, 2026 (11:59 PM ET): your starting tier reflects your most recent continuous subscription in the last 12 months. For example, a 3-month run earlier in the year starts you at Bronze
- Resubscribe after December 31, 2026: earlier subscription periods no longer count, and you start at Core
You can check your starting tier in the new Crew tab in game from December 5.
How the XP Boost Works
- Crew members earn +20% Fortnite XP
- Party members without Crew earn +10% XP while playing with a Crew member
- The boosts do not stack. Several Crew members in one party still give non-Crew players a single 10% boost, and Crew members do not stack their own boosts either
This makes Crew more useful for squads. If one friend subscribes, the whole party levels a little faster.
What You Lose on December 5
OG Pass Is Ending
The OG Pass ends on December 5, wrapping up with Chapter 1: OG Season X. Epic says the next era of Fortnite OG arrives in late 2027.
Crew Pack Outfits Are Ending
The monthly Crew Pack Outfits are being retired. December's pack is the last one, and it will be granted to subscribers throughout December.
If you already own Crew Packs, you do not lose anything. Epic will grant all remaining Legacy Styles for the Crew Pack Outfits, Pickaxes and Back Blings you own in December, whether or not you are still subscribed.
Upcoming Passes Included With Crew
According to Epic, the pass lineup through the end of 2026 is:
- November 12: Music Mini-Pass
- December 5: LEGO Mini-Pass
- December 5: new Fortnite Battle Pass
After these mini-passes, future Music and LEGO Passes return to their regular size and are set to release more often. Is Fortnite Crew Still Worth It?
The answer now depends on why you subscribe.
Probably worth it if:
- You already buy the Battle Pass every season and want the extra passes on top
- You plan to stay subscribed for several months, since the V-Bucks grow to 1,400 and then 1,600 a month
- You play in a squad, where your XP boost also helps friends without Crew
Less appealing if:
- You subscribed mainly for the exclusive monthly outfits, which end after December
- You played mostly for the OG Pass
- You only subscribe for one month at a time, since you will stay at the Core tier of 1,000 V-Bucks
The fairest way to see it: Crew is now a better deal for loyal, long-term subscribers and squads, and a worse deal for collectors who wanted exclusive skins. If you have been subscribed for a while, December 5 is a good moment to check which tier you land in before deciding.
