Luffy Skips the Battle Pass, So Where Is He in Fortnite x One Piece?
By Sir Ayup
The Fortnite x One Piece collaboration finally has its full schedule, and the Straw Hats are not all arriving at once. Epic's official Treasure Hunters announcement confirms which One Piece characters come in the Battle Pass, which ones land in the Item Shop and on which dates, from November 1 through mid-November. If you have been waiting for Zoro or Buggy, you will need to hold onto your V-Bucks a little longer. At gamemarket.gg, we put together every confirmed date, the One Piece abilities coming to the island and what is still unknown before the mini-season goes live.
Ace and Robin Are in the Battle Pass
Battle Pass: A Crew of Your Own
The two One Piece characters you can earn through progression are Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin. They are the featured collab outfits in the new Treasure Hunters Battle Pass.
They share the pass with new anime-style looks for three Fortnite originals:
- Jonesy
- Cuddle Team Leader
- Charlotte
Gifting also comes with a bonus. If you gift the Battle Pass to a friend, both of you receive the Dark Kawaii Team Leader Outfit style.
Some early reports placed Luffy and Buggy in the Battle Pass, but Epic's announcement lists only Ace and Robin there. Every other One Piece character on the schedule is sold in the Item Shop.
When Each One Piece Character Hits the Item Shop
The rest of the crew arrives in waves:
- November 1 (Season launch): Monkey D. Luffy, Nami and Usopp
- November 7: Roronoa Zoro, Sanji and the Chopper Sidekick
- November 13: Buggy
That puts Zoro and Sanji a week after launch and Buggy almost two weeks in. If you plan to buy several of them, spreading your V-Bucks across those dates is easier than spending everything on day one.
Epic has not shared prices or bundle contents yet. These usually become visible once each outfit appears in the Shop.
The Other Captains of Treasure Hunters
The Other Captains of Treasure Hunters
One Piece is not the only crossover this mini-season. Each week, a new captain arrives in Battle Royale with their own crew and POI. The Straw Hats and A$AP Rocky lead the way, followed by Lil Uzi Vert, Cap'n Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto.
Their outfits follow their own Item Shop dates:
- November 5 at 7 PM ET: A$AP Rocky
- November 12: Lil Uzi Vert
- November 14: Kasane Teto and Cap'n Hatsune Miku
A$AP Rocky also brings a battleship POI, the $.$. Rocky, and his own Shock Rocket, which rains rockets from above.
One Piece Powers and Locations on the Island
The collab goes beyond skins. On the new 80-player Crossbones Isle, players can visit two locations from the anime:
- Arlong Park
- Baratie
- Windmill Village
Two Straw Hat abilities are confirmed for combat:
- Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit
- Zoro's Three Sword Style
Epic's announcement ends that list with "and more," but has not named anything else yet. You can also climb into a cannon to launch across the map, and hunt for whatever is inside Captain X's mega chest.
Captain's Days and Weekly Boosts
The mini-season is built around Captain's Days, when new weapons, Sprites and other items drop on the map:
- November 1 at 9 AM ET, alongside the Season launch
- November 7
- November 12
- November 14
- November 21
Two weekly events run throughout as well. Mastery Mondays and Treasure Hours Sundays add Captain's weapons to the start of every match, along with boosted drops.
Captain's Days line up closely with the Item Shop schedule. Zoro and Sanji arrive on November 7, the same day as the second Captain's Day, so expect that week to be one of the busiest of the mini-season.
What We Still Do Not Know
A few details are still missing ahead of launch:
- prices for each One Piece outfit and bundle
- the exact launch time of the update on November 1
- any other One Piece abilities or items beyond Gum-Gum Fruit and Three Sword Style
- details on the One Piece cups, which Epic says will appear on Fortnite's competitive page
The mini-season builds up to a Chapter 7 end event on Saturday, December 5, so Treasure Hunters has about five weeks to run.
For the wider picture of the mini-season, including the island and its weekly captains, our Fortnite Treasure Hunters guide covers how the season is set up. One Piece also follows recent crossovers that brought Joker, Ann and Morgana from Persona 5 Royal and Asta's Devil skin from Black Clover to the island.
Save some V-Bucks for November 7 and 13, grab the Battle Pass if you want Ace and Robin, and get ready to set sail on November 1.
