Purrchena Is Free in Endfield From Sept 24: Max Potential, No Pulls

GRYPHLINE has confirmed the details of the Purrchena giveaway in Arknights: Endfield. From September 24 at 12:00 server time until the end of the Dreamscape of Wind and Snow version, players can claim the 5★ Physical Defender Purrchena, five of her Tokens, and six copies of her recommended weapon Dessert Moment (Sword) — enough to bring both operator and weapon to Max-Potential without touching Headhunting. Here is what is confirmed, why the Potential part matters more than the operator, and what to watch for.

The short version

• Purrchena is a 5★ Physical Defender who uses a Sword. She is an event reward, not a banner operator.
• The event, called Purry Big Feline! RAWR! (the press release calls it the Purrchena Tribute Event), runs from September 24 at 12:00 server time to the end of the current version.
• Rewards: Purrchena ×1, Purrchena's Token ×5, Dessert Moment (Sword) ×6. GRYPHLINE states that completing all six event missions is enough to max the Potential of both.
• Server times differ: Asia is UTC+8, Americas/Europe is UTC-5. Same calendar date, thirteen hours apart.
• September 24 also opens Suiming, the time-loop exploration area promised for the second half of the version.
• No numbers for her kit have been published. The official description is two sentences.

What GRYPHLINE has actually confirmed

The official material is short and consistent between the event graphic and the August 21 press release.

• During the event, log in and participate in various game modes to claim the operator, the Tokens and the weapon copies.
• Six event missions cover the full set. The graphic and press release do not describe what those missions are.
• In combat, Purrchena raises her shield to protect nearby teammates and delivers gift boxes that heal allies or trigger different support effects.
• Lore: she is the Brand Ambassador for the Ætherside Syndrome Relief Foundation and treats her fellow patients as family.

The graphic carries the standard disclaimer that content is for demonstration purposes and may differ from the actual game. That is boilerplate, but it is a reminder that the mission list is not final until the event goes live.

Why "Max-Potential" is the real headline

A free 5★ is nice. A free 5★ at maximum Potential is a different category of reward, and the reason comes down to what Potential is.

In Endfield, an operator's level, promotion and skill ranks are all farmable. You spend Sanity, you run Protocol Space, you get the materials. Potential is the exception: it only rises through duplicate copies, which for banner operators means Tokens from repeat pulls. Weapons work the same way, with extra copies feeding refinement. Those are the two stats you cannot grind your way to.

This event hands both over. Five Tokens on top of the base copy is the full Potential track for a 5★, and six weapon copies is the full refinement track for Dessert Moment. The practical consequence is that every player who finishes the missions ends up with an identical, fully unlocked Purrchena. There is no whale version of her. The only variable between accounts is how quickly you level and promote her afterward, which is why stocking Defender materials before September 24 is the smart move rather than a nice-to-have.

Compare that with Typhoeus, the version's 6★ headliner, whose Winter Hunt banner closes September 30 at 11:59 server time. Getting her to comparable Potential costs multiple copies. Purrchena's Potential costs six missions.

The kit: official versus third-party

Only the two-sentence description above is official. The following details come from third-party guides and databases published ahead of the event, not from GRYPHLINE, and should be read as unverified until the operator is in your roster:

• Her Battle Skill raises the shield and grants Protection to herself and nearby operators, making them harder to interrupt.
• While the skill is active, the first successful block extends the duration and refunds SP; further blocks are said to diminish the Protection effect.
• After a delay, the skill can be recast to deal Nature DMG and apply Nature Infliction at no SP cost.
• Her Combo Skill triggers when the controlled operator takes a hit and tosses a Giftbox that heals them.
• Her Ultimate is described as throwing random bombs or pulls.

If the Nature Infliction detail holds, it changes her value considerably. A Physical Defender who applies Nature Infliction is a free enabler for Typhoeus, whose kit consumes Nature Infliction on enemies. That would make Purrchena the cheapest possible fourth slot in a Typhoeus team: she covers survivability and the element setup at the same time, without competing with damage dealers for the controlled-operator role. Third-party guides have already reached that conclusion. It is a plausible read of the kit, but it is a read of a leak-adjacent kit, not of published numbers.

Timing and servers

• The event starts September 24 at 12:00 server time. On Asia that is 04:00 UTC; on Americas/Europe it is 17:00 UTC.
• It ends with the version. GRYPHLINE has not published the version's end date. Dreamscape of Wind and Snow launched September 2 on Asia and September 1 on Americas/Europe, and the game's versions have run roughly six weeks, but that is a pattern, not a confirmed date.
• The Typhoeus banner and her Combat Drills trial both close September 30 at 11:59 server time, six days after Purrchena arrives. If you are deciding whether to pull for Typhoeus based on whether Purrchena fits her team, you will have less than a week of hands-on time to decide.

What isn't known

• The six missions. Neither the graphic nor the press release describes them. Whether they unlock daily, weekly or all at once is unpublished. If they are time-gated, the window cannot be cleared in the final days.
• The version end date. "End of the Dreamscape of Wind and Snow version" is the only wording given.
• Whether Purrchena joins the Headhunting pool afterward. Third-party sources say she is not immediately added to banners. GRYPHLINE has not said either way, so there is no official answer on how latecomers get her.
• Any kit numbers. Shield values, heal amounts, Protection levels and skill multipliers are all unpublished.
• Whether the Nature Infliction interaction is real. It is the single most important claim about her kit and it currently rests on third-party guides.

What to do

• Pre-farm Defender materials now. Potential is handled by the event; levels and promotions are not. An account that walks in with Protodisks and rare growths already stocked fields her the same day.
• Log in on September 24 and check the mission list immediately. If the missions are time-gated, you need to know on day one, not in the last week.
• Treat her as a Typhoeus decision, not just a free Defender. If the Nature Infliction detail holds, she lowers the cost of a functional Typhoeus team. Verify it in-game before September 30, when the Typhoeus banner closes.
• Don't let the version end sneak up. Without a published end date, assume mid-October and finish early rather than late.
• Ignore tier placements until the numbers exist. A fully unlocked operator with no published multipliers can still be placed anywhere.
