Wuthering Waves Hsin Build Guide: Weapons, Echo Sets, Skill Priority, and Team Compositions
The combat landscape of Solaris-3 is shifting with the introduction of Hsin in Version 3.7. Arriving as a 5-star Electro Rectifier user and the first playable Sentinel, Hsin brings an intricate combat design defined by two distinct operational paths: the swap-heavy Unison setup and the high-potency Electro Flare rotation. Unlike standard hypercarries that demand uninterrupted field presence, Hsin thrives through coordinated strikes, off-field damage persistence, and explosive Resonance Skill windows.
Whether you are stockpiling ascension resources ahead of her banner or fine-tuning her Echo loadout, here is the complete Wuthering Waves Hsin Build guide to help you maximize her combat potential.
Hsin Overview and Core Combat Mechanics
Hsin operates using dual forms and distinct gameplay modes that shape party selection and combat timing:
-
Unison Playstyle: Prioritizes frequent Intro Skills, swift character rotations, and coordinated damage windows. Hsin sets up her abilities, transitions out to allow a burst sub-DPS to take the field while her attacks persist, and returns during key windows to unleash devastating finishers.
-
Electro Flare Playstyle: Relies on teammates to consistently inflict Electro-related negative statuses. Once the groundwork is laid, Hsin channels those triggers into an empowered state, converting them into massive personal damage bursts.
Core Resonator Profile
-
Rarity: 5-Star
-
Attribute: Electro
-
Weapon Type: Rectifier
-
Primary Scaling: Resonance Skill DMG and ATK%
-
Energy Target: Approximately 125% Energy Regen as an initial baseline for consistent Liberation uptime
Skill Leveling Priority
Because the vast majority of Hsin's damage profile scales as Resonance Skill damage—including attacks initiated across multiple sections of her kit her upgrade path should follow a defined structure:
-
Standard Priority: Forte Circuit > Resonance Liberation > Resonance Skill > Intro Skill > Basic Attack
-
Unison Quick-Swap Adjustment: For players focusing heavily on swap-centric Unison teams, Intro Skill investment should be leveled immediately after Resonance Liberation, as frequent entrance triggers contribute a substantial portion of overall team output.
Best Weapons for Hsin
Weapons that elevate CRIT values and provide direct Resonance Skill damage bonuses represent her top choices:
-
Blooming Jadehaven (Signature 5-Star): The uncontested best-in-slot Rectifier. Delivering 588 Base ATK and 24.3% CRIT Rate, its passive grants an All-Attribute DMG Bonus and heavily amplifies Resonance Skill DMG after applying Electro Flare or triggering Unison effects. It also enables her skills to ignore enemy Electro RES while enhancing incoming Electro Flare damage.
-
Lethean Elegy (Alternative 5-Star): Matches her signature's base stats with 588 ATK and 24.3% CRIT Rate alongside dependable skill-focused buffs, making it a reliable premium alternative.
-
Stringmaster (Alternative 5-Star): Yinlin's signature weapon offers a massive 36% CRIT Rate alongside universal ATK and Attribute DMG bonuses, significantly easing the substat burden on Echo pieces.
-
Cosmic Ripples (Standard 5-Star): Provides solid base stats, ATK scaling, and Energy Regen, serving as a dependable standard banner option.
Echo Loadout: Heart of Sworn Vigil
Hsin's optimal equipment setup is the dedicated 5-piece Heart of Sworn Vigil Echo set introduced in Version 3.7:
-
2-Piece Bonus: Electro DMG +10%
-
5-Piece Bonus: Inflicting Electro Flare, gaining Unison, or triggering a Unison Response grants bonus CRIT Rate and Electro DMG for 30 seconds. This unified passive seamlessly powers both playstyles without demanding separate Echo sets.
Main Stat and Cost Allocation (4-3-3-1-1)
-
4-Cost: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG (CRIT DMG is strongly preferred when using weapons with high base CRIT Rate like Blooming Jadehaven or Stringmaster)
-
3-Cost: Electro DMG Bonus + ATK% (or double Electro DMG Bonus based on roll quality)
-
1-Cost: ATK% + ATK%
Substat Priority
CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > ATK% > Resonance Skill DMG > Energy Regen > Flat ATK
Resonance Chain Progression
Hsin is fully functional at S0, but selective sequence nodes offer noticeable efficiency gains:
-
S1: Improves handling comfort, provides interruption resistance, and boosts mode-specific interaction stability.
-
S2: The premier stopping point for moderate investment, noticeably boosting the power and frequency of her enhanced finishing sequences.
-
S3: Substantially elevates Resonance Liberation scaling, delivering exceptional output increases for Electro Flare setups.
-
S6: The maximum breakpoint, driving massive Resonance Skill scaling, granting elemental resistance penetration, and pushing both Unison and Flare thresholds to their absolute peak.
Top Team Compositions and Rotations
1. Premier Unison Quick-Swap Composition
-
Lineup: Hsin + Suoming + Shorekeeper
-
Combat Rhythm: Shorekeeper establishes introductory buffs and healing. Suoming enters to set up Unison interactions, providing Electro-related buffs that enhance Hsin's Resonance Skill output. Hsin arrives via Intro Skill, activates her enhanced form, and swaps back to Suoming so both characters cycle short, potent damage windows before Hsin finishes with Resonance Liberation.
2. Dedicated Electro Flare Composition
-
Lineup: Hsin + Electro Rover + Suisui
-
Combat Rhythm: Suisui provides team sustain and defensive utility. Electro Rover consistently applies Electro Flare and activates elemental amplifiers. Hsin swaps in to absorb the setups, cycling her empowered Resonance Skill combinations for devastating single-target and area damage.
