🎮 Seamless Squads: VALORANT Patch 12.07 Links Discord and Refreshes Settings ⚙️

Tactical communication just got a whole lot easier! Patch 12.07 officially deployed on April 14, 2026, bringing a heavy focus on social integration and user experience. The headline of this update is a massive partnership with Discord, designed to bridge the gap between your favorite chat app and the game client. Alongside this, Riot has delivered a long-requested visual refresh of the Settings menu and fine-tuned several premium skins.

🤝 Discord 🤝 Riot: Your Next Party is One Click Away

The days of alt-tabbing to copy-paste lobby codes are numbered. By linking your Riot and Discord accounts, you can access new social features directly within the VALORANT client:

• In-Game Invites: Invite your Discord friends to your party directly from the social panel.

• Lobby Link Sharing: Instantly copy a sharable link and post it into your server or DMs.

• Presence Tracking: See exactly which of your Discord friends are mid-match or sitting in a lobby.

Rollout Schedule:

• Brazil Beta: Currently Live.

• US & Canada Beta: April 21, 2026.

• Global Launch: April 29, 2026 (Patch 12.08).

⚙️ Settings Menu Overhaul: Precision Meets Clarity

Riot has revamped the Settings screens (PC Only) to improve functionality without disrupting the muscle memory of players who adjust settings mid-round.

• Parent-Child Logic: Related settings are now grouped together (e.g., specific crosshair toggles nested under general headers), making the UI feel less cluttered.

• Hover Tooltips: Every setting now features a descriptive tooltip, explaining exactly how toggling a feature impacts your performance or visuals.

• New Categorization: The messy "General - Other" tab has been retired. Settings are now organized into three dedicated sections: User Interface, Content Filtering, and Network.

🔫 Cosmetic Polish: Reticle Consistency

Following feedback from the community (specifically top-tier players like Grimm), Riot has adjusted the scope reticles for several high-tier skins. These updates ensure the center range of view remains 100% consistent with the base weapon's default scope.

• Affected Skins: Kuronami Marshal, Nocturnum Marshal, EX.O Marshal, Araxys Outlaw, and Araxys Operator.

🏺 Store & Gifting Optimization

The buying and gifting experience has seen several technical fixes to ensure visual accuracy and performance:

• Gifting UI: The ineligibility screen now properly utilizes the full width of the display for better readability.

• Visual Accuracy: Fixed a bug where sprays appeared darker than intended during the purchase preview.

• Buddy Preview: Resolved clipping issues where gun buddies would overlap with UI elements on the confirmation screen.

• Friend List Optimization: Fixed a performance hitch where players with exceptionally large friend lists experienced lag while navigating store menus.
