Stella Sora 1.16 Preview: Allie, Chapter 9 and A Monolith Too Far
By Rivan Wi 27 September 2026, 22:00 WIB
Yostar has published the Update Preview for Stella Sora Version 1.16, which goes live after the September 28 maintenance (UTC-7). The headline is a new limited ★5 Trekker, Allie, arriving alongside Main Story Chapter 9 and a limited event called A Monolith Too Far, in which the long-lost Monolith reappears in Mirage just as Angie's army reaches the city. The preview is a schedule rather than a patch note: it lists what unlocks and when, and almost nothing about what ends when. Here is what is confirmed, what the staggered dates mean in practice, and the gaps the maintenance notice will need to fill.
The short version
- Version 1.16 launches after the September 28 maintenance (UTC-7).
- Day one: A Monolith Too Far, Main Story Chapter 9 (1st Half), Silver-Veiled Dream Catcher, the ★5 Allie banner, the ★5 Runic Disc "Bedtime Story" banner, Flora's new 3D Appearance and Freesia's 3D Appearance rerun in the shop, and Cataclysm Survivor Zones 1 and 2.
- October 5: Main Story Chapter 9 (2nd Half). After 21:00, a Firenze rerun banner.
- October 12: Urgent Bounty at 13:00; Call for Best Records, The Nova Times #18 and Chess Defense after 21:00.
- The event currency is Flower Stickers, spent in an Event Shop that includes Stellanite Dust, a Cerulean Ticket, Star Emblem Polisher and Drop of Purity.
- No end dates are given for anything — not the version, not the banners, not the shop.
- Allie's element, position and kit are unpublished.
What A Monolith Too Far actually contains
The event graphic splits the content into three parts:
- Main Story Chapter 9 — the narrative spine. The Monolith, lost for years, has resurfaced in Mirage while Angie's army is already at the gates. The pitch is a choice between fighting, retreating or sacrificing yourself to protect your companions.
- Battle Stage — stages of varying difficulty that pay out Stellanite Dust and Flower Stickers.
- Limited Event: Silver-Veiled Dream Catcher — an infiltration of the enemy camp with Otoha, using a grappling hook to grab intel and supplies for Stellanite Dust, Flower Stickers and more.
Flower Stickers are the throughline. They come from missions across the event and are redeemed in the Event Shop. Beyond the four named consumables, the shop preview shows two illustrated items, "All That Was Beautiful" and "A Monolith Too Far", whose type the graphic does not label. They may be collectible art or something else; the preview does not say.
The Battle Stage and Dream Catcher both feed the same currency, which means the practical question for the shop is not which mode to play but how the total sticker pool is distributed. If missions are time-gated, as event missions in this game usually are, the shop cannot be cleared in a final sprint.
Allie, and the name that matters
Allie is the version's limited ★5 Trekker, on a banner titled "Bathed in Warm Smiles, We Linger". The preview gives her rarity and nothing else: no element, no Main/Support position, no skills.
What the name does carry is story weight. One of Stella Sora's oldest open questions is what happened to Aunt Allie and the Ash Orphanage after they signed a suspicious contract, and the driving-question status of that thread has only grown through the story chapters since. A ★5 named Allie debuting in the same version as a chapter about a Monolith resurfacing is a strong hint that the thread is being paid off. Yostar has not confirmed the playable Allie is the same person, so treat the connection as a name match until Chapter 9 says otherwise.
Because Stella Sora squads run three Trekkers with designated Main and Support seats, and each Trekker carries a different skill set per seat, her value depends entirely on which seat she is built for. That is the single most important unpublished fact about her. Anyone planning pulls before the maintenance notice is planning blind.
Alongside her is a ★5 Runic Disc, "Bedtime Story", on the banner "Innocent Dream Untouched". Both banners are marked Limited.
The staggered schedule, and why it changes the order of play
The preview is unusually explicit about times, and the pattern matters:
- September 28 after maintenance — event, Chapter 9 first half, both new banners, both 3D Appearances, Cataclysm Survivor.
- October 5 — Chapter 9 second half. After 21:00 (UTC-7), the Firenze rerun.
- October 12, 13:00 (UTC-7) — Urgent Bounty, with Skill Trial and Emblem Trial.
- October 12, 21:00 (UTC-7) — Call for Best Records, The Nova Times #18, Chess Defense.
Two consequences follow. First, the story is deliberately split: whatever the "fight, retreat or sacrifice" choice sets up, its resolution does not exist until October 5. Second, the mode updates that usually reward built rosters — Urgent Bounty, Call for Best Records — land two weeks in, after both halves of the story. A player who wants Allie in those modes has roughly two weeks to pull, build and equip her before they open. That is the window that matters, and it is the one the preview leaves undated at the far end.
One inconsistency in the graphic needs flagging. The Upcoming Events panel shows two different banners, "Mirroring the Jade's Ideal" and "Reverie in Fragrant Tea", with different art, both labelled "★5 Trekker Firenze Rerun" and both timed after October 5, 21:00. One of those labels is almost certainly wrong — the second may be a Disc rerun or a different Trekker — but the preview as published does not resolve it.
Cosmetics and reruns
- Flora 3D Appearance "My Stage, My Creation" — new, purchasable in the shop.
- Freesia 3D Appearance "The Gift of Falling Snow" — a rerun, purchasable in the shop.
- Firenze rerun — after October 5, 21:00 (UTC-7), with the labelling issue noted above.
3D Appearances are shop purchases, not banner items, so they compete with pulls for currency only if you convert. The Freesia rerun is the one to note for anyone who missed it the first time; reruns of Appearances have not been frequent.
What isn't known
- Every end date. The preview lists starts only. Version length, banner duration and Event Shop closure are all absent.
- Allie's kit, element and seat. Nothing beyond "★5 Trekker" has been published.
- The Silver-Veiled Dream Catcher period. The thumbnail carries a date line that is not legible at preview resolution.
- Flower Sticker prices and the sticker total. The shop contents are shown; the economy is not.
- What "All That Was Beautiful" and "A Monolith Too Far" are as shop items. Both are pictured, neither is described.
- Which of the two "Firenze Rerun" banners is actually Firenze. The graphic labels both.
- Whether playable Allie is Aunt Allie. The name matches the story thread; Yostar has not said.
What to do
- Wait for the September 28 maintenance notice before committing pulls. It should carry Allie's kit and the end dates the preview omits. A ★5 whose seat you don't know is not a decision you can make yet.
- Start Flower Sticker missions on day one. Two event modes feed one shop, and event missions in Stella Sora are typically time-gated.
- Treat October 12 as the roster deadline. Urgent Bounty and Call for Best Records open then; if Allie is meant for them, she needs to be built by then.
- Read Chapter 9's first half before October 5, so the second half lands with context rather than as a catch-up.
- Check the Freesia rerun early. Appearance reruns are rare enough that the second chance is worth noting even if the first purchase is Flora.
- Hold judgment on the Firenze banners until the in-game schedule shows which is which.
