PUBG Mobile's version 4.6 goes live globally on 9 September 2026, and its headline mode breaks the rule that battle royale is built on.

In Bloodline Awakening, being eliminated doesn't remove you from the match. You come back as a vampire, with new abilities, and you hunt the squad that just killed you.

That single change reshapes how fights resolve. Here's the full breakdown.

The short version

  • V4.6 launches globally 9 September 2026. KRJP is expected around 6–7 September, unconfirmed.
  • Bloodline Awakening is a limited-time vampire-themed mode on Erangel.
  • Eliminated players return as vampires and can hunt the players who killed them.
  • Blood Crystal Barriers block shots through openings — head-glitching stops working.
  • Three PvE enemy types arrive, and they can evolve into stronger forms.
  • 7.62mm rifles are being adjusted. Beta figures are not final figures.
  • The collaboration is unconfirmed. Three different IPs are circulating from three different sources.

Coming back as a vampire

The official beta description is direct: turn into a vampire upon defeat, gain new abilities, and go after the hunters who wiped you.

The tactical consequence lands on third-partying. In standard PUBG, clearing a compound means the threat from that compound is finished — you loot, you reposition, and the only remaining danger is whoever heard the fight. In Bloodline Awakening, the squad you just eliminated can be back on you with claws and Blood Sense before you've finished looting.

That changes the cost-benefit of taking fights at all. Engagements that were previously profitable — clean wipes on a weaker squad — now carry a delayed penalty, because the people you beat return knowing exactly where you are.

It also changes how you play from behind. Dying early stops being the end of your match, which makes aggressive early drops less punishing than they normally are.

Blood Crystal Barriers kill the head-glitch

The second mechanic worth understanding before launch is quieter but arguably more disruptive to established habits.

Blood Crystal Barriers block shots coming through openings. A window that used to be a free angle now requires actually breaching the building or flushing the occupant out with utility.

For anyone who plays compound defence on Erangel — holding a window, taking free trades on players who have to cross open ground — that habit stops paying. Expect the first week to be full of players getting punished for peeks that worked fine in 4.5.

The PvE side

Three enemy types populate the themed mode, and they aren't uniform:

Bloodwalker — melee attackers. Elite Bloodwalkers can drain life and dodge quickly, making them considerably harder than the base version.

Nightbat — flying enemies that attack with sonic projectiles, which makes them a threat to players who assume vertical space is safe.

Vampire Elder — the boss. It summons magic spheres that strengthen nearby enemies, and defeating it grants special powers.

Enemies can evolve into stronger forms, so leaving them alive has a compounding cost. That's a genuine decision point: engaging PvE reveals your position to other squads, but ignoring it means facing worse versions later.

Themed areas and items

Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry and Gatka all receive vampire-themed changes, so the mode isn't confined to one corner of the map. Beta material also pointed toward a themed point of interest near Sosnovka Military Base — that came from beta leaks rather than an announcement, so treat the location as unconfirmed.

New items include:

  • Twilight Bat Wings — transformation and gliding movement
  • Silvermoon Chain
  • Blood Pact — reportedly allows HP sharing
  • Hunter Bandage
  • Scarlet Tonic

Additional mechanics revealed in beta include Hunter Missions, Scream Crates and Gargoyles.

Beta numbers are not live numbers

This applies to the whole update but especially to weapons.

7.62mm rifle adjustments were flagged during beta, with reporting suggesting recoil and damage changes that would make sustained automatic fire less efficient at long range.

Do not treat those as final. The four-phase beta wrapped on 23 August, and balance figures routinely shift between the last beta build and the live patch. If you main AKM, M762 or Mk47, the sensible move is ten minutes in the training ground on 9 September before queuing into a ranked lobby — not reading a spreadsheet from August.

The collaboration is genuinely unknown

Worth being blunt about, because the speculation is loud.

PUBG Mobile's official announcement promised new IP, Gilt Sets and the Honor Series — and named nothing.

Since then, three different collaborations have been reported by three different outlets: Demon Slayer, One Piece (based on references to "Buggy" appearing in beta data files), and One-Punch Man. None has official confirmation.

Three contradictory IPs from three sources is a reliable sign that nobody outside the studio knows. Treat all of it as unverified until the client updates.

What else is in 4.6

  • Erangel changes beyond the themed areas
  • New vehicles
  • Metro Royale and World of Wonder updates, both tested through the later beta phases
  • Performance improvements
  • Season S32 and the new Honor Series, plus new Gilt Sets

What isn't confirmed

  • The collaboration IP.
  • Final 7.62mm balance values.
  • The exact themed POI location.
  • KRJP and BGMI release dates. KRJP is expected 6–7 September; BGMI reporting points to 10–14 September, neither confirmed.
  • How long Bloodline Awakening runs as a limited-time mode.

What to do before 9 September

Finish your current season progress. Season transitions don't wait, and unclaimed rewards don't carry.

Bank UC rather than spending. With Season S32, the Honor Series and an unannounced collaboration all landing together, spending now means committing before you know what's on offer.

Plan to relearn compound play. Blood Crystal Barriers change how buildings work, and the players who adapt fastest will have a real edge in week one.

Test your 7.62 loadouts on patch day, not before.

Ignore collab skin lists. Three IPs are circulating and none is confirmed — any "leaked roster" you see is one of three guesses.

Getting your account ready

A new season, a new Honor Series and a themed mode with its own progression all reward accounts that can engage from day one rather than spending the first fortnight catching up on rank and unlocks. Browse verified PUBG Mobile accounts if you'd rather enter 4.6 with rank and inventory already established, book PUBG Mobile hourly services to close out Season S31 progress before the reset, or push rank through PUBG Mobile boosting ahead of 9 September.
