Collector and Lucky Box are both Exquisite-tier, sitting in the same rarity bracket and awarding the same 2,000 Collection Points. They differ in acquisition route and typically in cost, which is why a round mixes them — the Lucky Box entries are the more accessible half of the lineup.

The Yi Sun-shin and Yu Zhong entries are not straight resales. Moonton has been progressively reworking older Collector skins with updated effects and animations, and both arrive optimised rather than in their original form. That matters if you skipped them years ago because the effects felt dated — the version returning in September is not the version you passed on.

One caveat on the lineup: resale selections have shifted between preview and launch before. Argus's date and identity come from Moonton directly; the returning eight are what the preview panel and community reporting show, and they remain subject to change until the event opens.

How the Exquisite Collection draw works

For anyone who hasn't engaged with this event type before, the structure differs from the standard skin shop in three ways that matter to your budget.

It runs on Crystals of Aurora, not diamonds directly. That's a separate currency with its own acquisition routes, so check your balance before assuming you can convert diamonds on the day.

A permanent reward is guaranteed within the first 10 draws. That's the single most important line on the screen — it means the floor of your investment is knowable rather than open-ended. Ten draws, and you walk away with something permanent.

The 50% first-time discount applies once. It's attached to your first 10x draw in the round, which makes that first pull comfortably the most efficient purchase available in the event. If you're participating at all, the first 10x is the one to take.

Preparing before 1 September

Three weeks of lead time is unusual for a Collector preview, and it's worth using:

• Bank your Crystals of Aurora. Anything spent on the current round is unavailable for Argus. If he's your target, the discipline starts now rather than in late August.
• Take the discounted first 10x, not scattered single draws. The discount plus the guaranteed permanent reward makes it the only clearly efficient purchase in the event.
• Decide your ceiling before the round opens. Collector-tier draws are designed to be decided in the moment, when the animation is playing and you're three draws from something. A number set in advance is a plan; a number set mid-round is a rationalisation.
• Check whether the other previewed cosmetics are also September items. The preview panel shows a lineup, not a single skin, and not everything in a preview necessarily lands in the same round.

Is it worth it for you?

Framed honestly, since Collector-tier is the most expensive cosmetic bracket in the game.

It fits if you play Argus regularly or you collect the Collector line. Skins in this tier carry full effect reworks, custom animations and recall sequences — a genuinely different experience from playing the base hero, and one you'll see every match if Argus is in your rotation.

It doesn't fit if Argus sits unused in your hero list. A Collector skin changes nothing about your win rate, and the most common regret in this event type is a spectacular skin on a hero the buyer stops playing three weeks later.

A middle path: take the discounted first 10x for the guaranteed permanent reward, then stop. That's a defined cost with a defined return, and it's how most players should approach a Collector round they're curious about but not committed to.

Mind what else wants the same budget

September's collection lands right after a dense August.
