Ashveil: The Safer Rerun for Follow-Up Accounts

Ashveil returns as a Lightning Hunt character whose identity is tied to follow-up attacks, target marking, and high-tempo single-target pressure.

His rerun is easier to evaluate because players have already had a full release cycle to test him. If your account is built around follow-up attackers and allies that can repeatedly hit his marked target, Ashveil remains a much more direct roster upgrade than pulling a new archetype and then building the team around it.

That makes Ashveil particularly attractive for players who already own the supports and sub-DPS pieces his teams want. In that situation, the rerun is less about experimenting and more about completing a functioning core.

He is less urgent if your roster already has strong Lightning coverage or if your best teams do not generate frequent attacks. Hunt characters also compete for a more single-target-focused role, so account need matters more than raw character strength.

For most players, the choice comes down to team direction rather than which character has the bigger damage screenshot.

Choose Aventurine • Waveflair if:

• you want a new Quantum main DPS

• you are building into the Elation archetype

• your account has fast or frequent attackers that can support his Fervor loop

• you value a new playstyle more than strengthening an established team

Choose Ashveil if:

• you already run follow-up attack teams

• you want a Lightning single-target damage option

• your account already owns the partners needed to trigger his follow-up mechanics consistently

• you skipped his first banner and already know where he fits in your roster

Consider skipping both if:

• your account is already overloaded with main DPS characters

• your biggest weakness is sustain or universal support

• pulling either character would leave you without the teammates needed to make the investment worthwhile

Do not pull purely because Sampo, Hook, or Guinaifen are featured. A 4-star rate-up can help with Eidolons, but there is no guarantee that repeated pulls will land the exact 4-star you want before a 5-star appears. The limited 5-star should be the reason you commit Stellar Jade to the banner.

If Stellar Jade is limited, the safer order is still character first, Light Cone second.

What Changed From Phase I?

Phase I ends as Phase II begins, removing Robin • Summeretto and Hyacine from the active limited character rotation and replacing them with Aventurine • Waveflair and Ashveil.

That is a meaningful shift in what Version 4.5 is selling. Phase I leaned heavily toward Remembrance and support-oriented roster building. Phase II is much more damage-focused, with a new Elation carry and a follow-up Hunt rerun competing for the same Stellar Jade budget.
