Drake: Great Villain in Nikke, Full Kit and Banner Dates
By Rivan Wi 4 September 2026, 14:00 WIB
SHIFT UP has revealed the full kit for Drake: Great Villain, and it's an odd one in the best way. She's a Defender sitting in the Burst III slot — the position normally reserved for damage — and her attack power is calculated from her maximum HP.
For a Defender, that means the stat you build for survival is the same stat that makes her hit hard. Here's the full breakdown.
The short version
- Type: Defender. Weapon: Shotgun. Burst Skill: III. Code: Wind.
- Pick Up recruitment runs 3 September (after maintenance) to 17 September, 04:59 (UTC+9).
- Her ATK scales off her final max HP — 6.23% of it, continuously.
- She raises every ally's max HP by up to 42% across four stacks.
- Full Burst swaps her weapon for a charged shotgun, then empties her ammo when it ends.
- Her Burst deals 1350% of final ATK to all enemies.
- Whether she's limited or permanent is still unannounced.
The stat block
- Type: Defender
- Weapon: Shotgun — 9 ammo, 1.50s reload
- Base damage: 201.5% of ATK per shot, 200% damage to core
- Burst Skill: III
- Code: Wind
All figures below are at Skill Level 10, and SHIFT UP notes that skill details are subject to change.
Skill 1 — Super Duper Overdrive
Activates on entering Full Burst, affects self. Her weapon is replaced with Super Duper Overdrive, a charged shotgun:
- Charge time: fixed at 1.5 seconds
- Damage: 243.75% of final ATK
- Pellet count: 15
- Full charge damage: 300%
- Max ammunition: 6
When Super Duper Overdrive ends, it removes 100% of her ammo.
That last line is a real cost, not flavour. Coming out of Full Burst she is empty and reloading, which means her downtime is worse than a normal Defender's. The weapon swap gives her a burst window with serious numbers attached — 15 pellets at 243.75% of final ATK, rising to 300% on a full charge — and then hands the bill back afterwards.
The fixed 1.5-second charge matters too. It doesn't scale with charge speed gear, so the usual charge-speed optimisation doesn't apply to this window.
Skill 2 — Fashionably Late Villain
This is the engine, and it does two separate things.
On Full Burst ending, affecting all allies: max HP increases by 10.5% of Drake's own max HP, continuously, stacking up to 4 times. That's a team-wide durability buff worth up to 42% at full stacks — and note it's calculated from her max HP, not each ally's, so building her HP raises the whole team's ceiling.
Importantly, it does not restore HP. It raises the maximum without healing into it.
At the start of battle, affecting self: Fashionably Late grants ATK equal to 6.23% of her final max HP, continuously.
That's the conversion that defines her. A Defender's stat priority is normally HP and defence; here, HP is her offence.
Burst Skill — Special Villainous Web
Cooldown: 40 seconds.
- Self: Attack Damage +27.5% for 25 seconds
- All enemies: 1350% of final ATK as Burst Skill damage
A Burst III at 1350% against all enemies is genuine AoE damage, not a token effect. Combined with the self-buff, it's clear she's intended to hold the damage slot rather than merely occupy it.
Why the HP-to-ATK conversion changes how you gear her
This is the part worth internalising before you build her.
Standard Defender logic — stack HP and defence, ignore ATK — still applies here, but for a different reason. HP isn't just her survivability stat; it's the input to her damage. Every point of max HP she gains feeds 6.23% of it back into ATK, which then multiplies through a 1350% Burst and a 243.75% shotgun.
And Skill 2 compounds it. Her own max HP raises every ally's max HP by 10.5% per stack. On a team where allies also scale off their own HP, that's a chain effect. On a team where they don't, it's still 42% more effective health across the squad.
The practical upshot: HP gear on Drake is offensive gear. That's rare enough in NIKKE that it's worth checking your existing Overload rolls before deciding she's a niche pick.
A Burst III Defender is unusual
Burst III is the finishing slot — the position where teams put their damage. Defenders normally sit in Burst I or II, providing taunts, shields or cover.
Drake: Great Villain occupies Burst III as a Defender, which means she competes for the slot against dedicated attackers rather than against other tanks. Whether her 1350% Burst plus HP-scaled ATK is enough to justify that against the game's established Burst III damage dealers is the question her value hinges on, and it can't be answered from a stat sheet alone.
What can be said: she's not a filler tank. SHIFT UP has built her to be the reason a team wins a burst window, not the reason it survives one.
The banner
Pick Up recruitment runs from 3 September, after maintenance, until 17 September at 04:59 (UTC+9).
NIKKE runs Global, SEA, JP and KR clients, and maintenance timing doesn't always align across them. Check the countdown in your own client rather than converting from another region's schedule.
Who Drake is
For Commanders who haven't run the Missilis storylines, the joke behind the name is the character.
Drake belongs to Matis, Missilis Industry's top squad, answering personally to CEO Syuen. Her practical value is scanning for radio waves and Raptures. Her personal ambition is to be remembered as a villain — and she is extremely bad at it, with attempts at evil that are either trivially petty or backfire into accidental good deeds.
That makes "Great Villain" a title with an edge. Her squadmate Laplace wants to be a hero and received a unit titled Ultimate Hero; Matis is being built out as characters chasing labels that don't fit them.
What isn't announced
- Whether she's limited or joins the permanent pool. This remains the most important unknown for pull planning — a limited unit makes 17 September a hard deadline, while a permanent one makes it a rate-up you can skip.
- Whether an event, story chapter or free rewards accompany the banner.
- Recommended Overload lines and Harmony Cube pairings.
What to do
Check your Wind and Missilis depth. She's Missilis Wind, matching Laplace: Ultimate Hero and Maxwell: Ordinary Mechanic from the July Project Matis update. If those two are built, Drake slots into an existing core rather than starting a new one.
Don't assume Defender means bench. A Burst III Defender with HP-scaled ATK is a different proposition from a standard tank, and evaluating her on the Defender label alone will undersell her.
Confirm limited status before the deadline drives you. Nothing published so far distinguishes it.
Bank Gems if you're unsure. With her Burst slot contested by established damage dealers, this is a unit worth seeing in live play before committing deeply.
Building the roster behind her
An HP-scaling Defender only reaches her ceiling with the Overload gear, Harmony Cubes and Sync levels behind her — and in NIKKE that investment is the slow half, not the recruitment. Browse verified Goddess of Victory: NIKKE accounts if you'd rather build her on a roster with the Missilis Wind core already established, keep campaign and material progress moving with NIKKE hourly services, or clear the harder raid and tower content through NIKKE boosting while the banner runs.
