Genshin 6.7 Raiden Shogun Rerun — Pull or Skip? Reign of Serenity Analysis

The Genshin Impact 6.7 Raiden Shogun rerun arrives in Phase 2 on the Reign of Serenity banner, running July 21 to August 11, 2026 — and this is the pull-or-save breakdown every Traveler weighing the Electro Archon needs before pulling. Lightning splits the night over Inazuma as the Raiden Shogun steps back onto the banner for another limited window, and the only question that matters is not "how much should I spend" but "does she actually fit the account I already have?" Whether you are a newer Traveler who never grabbed her the first time or a veteran deciding if a second copy earns its place, this analysis lays out her role, her team fit, and an honest case for both pulling and passing.

In plain terms: a "rerun" is a limited re-release of a 5-star character you may have missed. "Pulling" means spending Primogems (the wish currency) on her banner. This guide helps you decide based purely on your current roster and what it actually needs.

📅 Reign of Serenity Banner Timeline

• Phase 2 window: July 21 – August 11, 2026 (roughly three weeks).
• Featured 5-star: Raiden Shogun (Electro), sharing Phase 2 with Columbina's rerun on a separate banner.
• What comes before: Phase 1 of 6.7 featured the Sandrone debut — if you are deciding between the two, our Sandrone pull analysis covers that side of the choice.

Because Phase 2 opens July 21, you have until the run start to bank wishes. If you are only now catching up on the patch, our 6.7 Everything New overview maps out every event feeding you free Primogems this cycle.

⚔️ Who Is Raiden Shogun — Kit & Role

Raiden Shogun is a 5-star Electro character who wields a polearm and fills a rare dual role: she is both a premier battery (energy generator) and a hard-hitting burst sub-DPS. Her value comes from doing two jobs at once.

• Elemental Skill — Eye of Stormy Judgment: plants a stationary eye that boosts the Elemental Burst damage of your whole party and adds Electro damage to their bursts. This is the buff that makes her a team-wide amplifier.
• Elemental Burst — Musou Isshin: she draws her blade and unleashes a flurry of Electro slashes. Crucially, her Burst damage scales with the party's total Energy Recharge, and while active she restores energy to the team on each hit.
• Passive battery engine: Raiden's kit is built around Energy Recharge (ER) — the more ER you stack, the more her Burst hits and the more energy she funnels back to your other characters, letting their bursts come online almost every rotation.

In plain terms: Raiden solves the single most annoying problem in team-building — characters not having enough energy to use their strongest ability every rotation. She keeps everyone's ultimate charged while adding real damage herself.

🎯 Why Pull — The Strong Case

Raiden Shogun has stayed near the top of the flexibility rankings for years, and there are concrete reasons she still earns a pull:

• Universal battery. Countless top teams are held together by an Electro battery. If your rosters constantly stall on energy, Raiden fixes it instantly.
• Anchors "Raiden National." One of the most reliable, low-investment teams in the game pairs Raiden with a Pyro applicator, a Hydro enabler, and a healer-buffer. It clears endgame content on modest gear.
• Elite Electro applicator for reaction teams. She drives Hyperbloom and Aggravate compositions, where consistent off-field Electro is the whole point.
• Buffs every Burst. Her Eye amplifies your team's ultimate damage across the board, making her a force multiplier rather than a solo carry.
• Beginner-friendly to build. Her core stat is Energy Recharge, which is far cheaper to farm than perfect crit gear — newer accounts feel her impact fast.

If any of those describe a gap on your account, Raiden is one of the safest 5-star investments a Traveler can make. To see where she slots against the current damage leaders, cross-check the Version 6.7 DPS tier list.

🤔 Why Pass — The Honest Counter-Case

A responsible pull analysis has to make the case against too. Raiden is not for everyone:

• You already own a strong Electro battery. If a Fischl, Beidou, or another reliable Electro enabler already covers your energy needs, Raiden becomes a luxury upgrade, not a roster-completing pickup.
• Your account leans into element cores she doesn't join. If your favorite teams are, say, pure Freeze or Mono-Pyro setups where she has no natural home, her fit is narrower.
• You are chasing a specific main-DPS instead. If your account's real weakness is a lack of a front-line carry, a dedicated DPS may raise your ceiling more than another enabler.
• Constellations are where her ceiling lives. Raiden's base kit is excellent, but her biggest damage spikes come from constellations — if you are strictly after her single copy, temper expectations to "great support," not "screen-clearing carry."

The honest read: Raiden is a top-tier enabler and a very safe pull — but "safe and universally useful" is different from "your account desperately needs her." Judge it by your roster gap.

👥 Best Teams for Raiden Shogun

Raiden's value is easiest to see through the teams she anchors. These are the compositions that make her a pull-worthy addition:

• Raiden National (Raiden Hypercarry variant): Raiden alongside a Pyro applicator, a Hydro off-field enabler, and a healer-buffer. This "National" archetype is one of the cheapest, most consistent endgame teams in the game — it clears hard content on modest artifacts.
• Hyperbloom: Raiden as the off-field Electro trigger next to a Dendro applicator and a Hydro unit. Her steady Electro application detonates Dendro Cores for reliable, gear-light damage that scales with Elemental Mastery.
• Aggravate: Raiden feeding Electro into a Dendro-charged field to buff Electro reactions, pairing beautifully with an on-field Electro or Dendro carry.
• Universal battery slot: in almost any team that needs energy, Raiden's Eye of Stormy Judgment keeps ultimates online rotation after rotation.

🔮 Weapon & Artifact Direction

• Weapons: her signature polearm is best-in-slot, but she performs excellently on strong 4-star Energy Recharge polearms — this is a character who does not require a 5-star weapon to shine.
• Artifacts: the Emblem of Severed Fate 4-piece is her signature set, directly converting her high Energy Recharge into bonus Burst damage.
• Stat priority: stack Energy Recharge (often ~250%+ depending on team) first, then ATK%, CRIT, and Electro DMG. Because ER substats are easy to roll, she is friendly to under-geared accounts.

In plain terms: Raiden is one of the rare premium units who feels great even on budget gear — a big reason she is such a safe pull for newer Travelers.

💎 Resource Requirements by Target

Wish math in Genshin uses "pity" — a guarantee system that assures a 5-star within a set number of wishes, with a 50/50 chance it is the featured character (and a guaranteed feature on the next 5-star if you lose). New to this? Read our wish system explainer first. Here is what to bank by goal:

• Single copy (C0), no weapon: aim for roughly ~90 wishes to comfortably guarantee her even through a lost 50/50 in most cases, and ideally ~140–160 wishes to cover a worst-case guarantee. This is the target for the vast majority of players.
• Copy + signature weapon: budget ~180–200+ wishes, since the weapon banner has its own pity and worse odds. Only worth it if she is a cornerstone of your account.
• Constellations (C2/C6): a heavy investment reserved for dedicated Electro-team players — 200+ wishes and up, and best treated as a long-term goal rather than a single-patch sprint.

Remember to factor in the free Primogems from this patch's events before deciding you cannot reach a target.

👥 Recommendations by Player Profile

💵 New & Low-Spend Travelers

If you are early-to-mid account and lack a reliable energy solution, Raiden is one of the best possible pulls — she is cheap to gear, instantly upgrades multiple teams, and makes the whole roster feel smoother. Prioritize a single C0 copy and stop there.

💎 Mid-Investment Travelers

If your account is established but your Electro slot is weak or non-existent, Raiden fills a genuine gap and unlocks Hyperbloom and Aggravate teams you could not run before. A C0 copy is plenty; skip the weapon unless you love her.

💸 Whales & Dedicated Electro Mains

If you already run Electro-heavy teams and want to push damage ceilings, this rerun is your window for constellations and her signature weapon. That is the only tier where the deep investment is clearly justified.

📊 Raiden vs Your Existing Roster

Before you wish, run this quick self-check against what you already own:

1. Do my teams frequently run out of energy? If yes, Raiden is a direct fix.
2. Do I own a Dendro core but no strong Electro trigger? If yes, she supercharges Hyperbloom and Aggravate.
3. Is my roster missing a flexible sub-DPS that fits everywhere? If yes, she is exactly that.
4. Do I already have all of the above covered? If yes, she is a comfort upgrade you can safely skip.

🎯 Decision Framework

Boil it down to one line: pull if Raiden fills a real energy or Electro gap on your account or unlocks teams you cannot currently build; save if your roster already runs smoothly without her. She is a premium, low-regret pull for the accounts that need her, and an easy skip for the ones that do not.

📈 Verdict

Raiden Shogun remains one of the most account-improving 5-stars in the game — a battery, a buffer, and a burst sub-DPS folded into one character with a beginner-friendly build. For Travelers missing a reliable Electro enabler, the Reign of Serenity rerun (July 21 – August 11) is a strong, safe pull. For those already covered, there is zero shame in saving your wishes for a future banner that fills an actual gap. Judge her by your roster, not by the clock.

🆕 New to Genshin Impact?

If you are considering starting Genshin Impact around this rerun, here is what to know:

• It's a free open-world RPG where you build teams of four characters, each tied to one of seven elements, and combine those elements for powerful reactions.
• Characters come from "wishes" (gacha pulls) using Primogems. A guaranteed-pity system means saving currency always eventually pays off.
• Raiden Shogun is a fantastic early pickup because she is cheap to build and improves nearly every team — a great anchor for a new account.
• Energy management is a core skill. Understanding why a "battery" like Raiden matters will make every future team you build stronger.

Starting fresh is also the cleanest time to plan a secure, well-rounded account from day one.

❓ Raiden Shogun Rerun FAQ

When does the Raiden Shogun rerun start and end? The Reign of Serenity banner runs during Phase 2 of Version 6.7, from July 21 to August 11, 2026.

Is Raiden Shogun a main DPS or a support? Primarily a battery and burst sub-DPS. She generates energy for the team and buffs everyone's Burst damage while dealing strong Electro damage herself — she is not a traditional on-field carry.

Do I need her signature weapon? No. Raiden performs excellently on 4-star Energy Recharge polearms, which is a major reason she is such a budget-friendly, high-value pull.

Is a single copy (C0) enough? Yes for the overwhelming majority of players — C0 Raiden already anchors top teams. Constellations are a bonus reserved for dedicated Electro mains.

Should I pull Raiden or save? Pull if she fills a real energy or Electro gap, or unlocks Hyperbloom/Aggravate/National teams you cannot currently build. Save if your roster already runs smoothly without her.

Who else is on the Phase 2 banners? Raiden's rerun shares Phase 2 with Columbina's rerun on a separate banner, so plan your wishes if both interest you.
