Fortnite Sugar Skin Arrives October 20 With Jack-O’-Cat Sidekick

The Fortnite Sugar skin and the Jack-O'-Cat sidekick are expected to land in the Item Shop on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, adding a pumpkin-headed cat theme to this year's Fortnitemares lineup. Sugar arrives as an Epic outfit with a full set of matching items, while Jack-O'-Cat joins the Nitemare Cat set as a customizable pet that follows you around the island. At gamemarket.gg, we gathered everything found so far about both cosmetics, what is likely included and what is still unconfirmed before they go live.

Sugar and Jack-O'-Cat at a Glance

• Expected release: October 20, 2026 Item Shop
• Sugar: Epic outfit, expected as a bundle
• Jack-O'-Cat: Uncommon sidekick from the Nitemare Cat set
• Event: Fortnitemares 2026
• Prices: not yet revealed

Both cosmetics come from leaks and data-mined game files, so names, contents and the release date could still change before the shop updates. Epic has not officially announced either item yet.

The Sugar Skin

Sugar is an Epic outfit with the description "She's no scaredy cat," which fits the feline Halloween theme she shares with Jack-O'-Cat.

Selectable styles

• Sugar: her standard look
• Pumpkin: swaps her head for a carved pumpkin

The Pumpkin style is what ties Sugar most clearly to the Halloween theme, and it is the look shown in the leaked shop artwork.

Items expected in the Sugar bundle

The Sugar release is expected to arrive as a bundle. Matching items found in the game files include:

• Sugar Bomb: a Rare reactive wrap
• Sugar's Steppers: Uncommon kicks
• A pumpkin back bling that matches her Pumpkin style

The exact bundle contents and price will only be confirmed once the Item Shop updates on October 20.

The Jack-O'-Cat Sidekick

Jack-O'-Cat is an Uncommon sidekick from the Nitemare Cat set, described as "Pumpkinheaded purr-fection."

Customization

Like other sidekicks, Jack-O'-Cat can be personalized, with adjustable parts for:

• Base
• Accent
• Detail
• Eyes

It also has unlockable styles listed under Rewards, which suggests extra looks you earn by playing with the sidekick equipped. How those rewards unlock has not been revealed yet.

Why it pairs with Sugar

Sugar's "no scaredy cat" description and her Pumpkin style line up with Jack-O'-Cat's pumpkin head, so the two are clearly designed to be worn together. Players who want the full cat-and-pumpkin look will likely want both.

What We Don't Know Yet

• V-Bucks prices for Sugar, the bundle and Jack-O'-Cat
• The exact bundle contents
• How Jack-O'-Cat's Rewards styles unlock
• How long the items stay in the shop

These details should become clear when the shop resets on October 20.
