Toshiro or Gin? Who Deserves Your Orbs in Bleach Brave Souls
By Sir Ayup
Bleach Brave Souls has opened a new summons, and it brings two characters in a new fantasy style. The Spirit Society Glory Summons: Flight of the Demons features Toshiro as a bow-wielding archer and Gin with fox ears, and it starts on October 31 at 16:00 JST (07:00 UTC). KLab's official preview walks through both kits, and they are built for very different jobs. At gamemarket.gg, we went through the full character intro to explain what Toshiro and Gin do, which teams they fit and which one deserves your Spirit Orbs.

Toshiro: A Burn Damage Dealer With a Bow
Toshiro is a ranged strong attack character with Soul Reaper Killer+, so he deals extra damage to Soul Reaper enemies.
Every attack except his EX move inflicts Burn+
His kit is built around Burn. Every attack except his EX move inflicts Burn+, and his effects push that status hard:
- Frenzy+4
- status ailment spiritual pressure boost +90%
- damage to burning enemies +70%
- status ailment chance against Soul Reapers +20%
- 200% Paralysis resistance, which also protects him from Paralysis+
- poise break on enemies outside great battles
His Soul Trait cuts strong attack recharge time by 14%, so he gets back to his strongest moves faster.
Toshiro's Attacks
- Normal attacks: four ranged shots
- 1st strong attack: surrounds Toshiro, then attacks forward
- 2nd strong attack: pulls enemies together, then hits the whole area as a superior multi-hit strong attack
- 3rd strong attack: hits the entire screen
- EX move: a wide static vortex that inflicts Burn and Freeze
- Special move: Phantom Fire Volley, which deals immense damage and inflicts Burn+
Toshiro's Link Skill
His shareable EX skills boost status ailment spiritual pressure by +30% and EX damage to burning enemies by +35%. That makes him a strong link for other strong attack characters who rely on Burn.
Gin: A Support Built Around Weaken and Drain
Gin is a melee normal attack character with Squad Zero Killer+. His kit is less about raw damage and more about weakening enemies and powering up the whole team.
His other attacks inflict Weaken and Drain. Drain steals enemy stamina and stops their status ailments. When an enemy has both Weaken and Drain, the preview says the damage Gin takes from them is reduced to 1 while he deals more damage to them.
His listed effects also include:
- Flurry+4
- Debilitator
- increased strong attack damage for the team
- increased special move damage for the team
- increased Soul Reaper damage to enemies affected by status ailments
- 200% Paralysis resistance
His Soul Trait raises normal attack damage by +40%, and his shareable EX skill adds +35% normal attack damage at full stamina.
Gin's Attacks
- Normal attacks: four melee hits
- 1st strong attack: creates a static vortex
- 2nd strong attack: a wide attack with a major static vortex
- 3rd strong attack: surrounds Gin and attacks forward, then gives a Major Boost with a high effect and long duration to Gin and his allies
- Special move: a purple fox fire attack, although its exact name was not clearly given in the preview
Which Teams They Fit
The two characters fill very different roles.
Toshiro is a damage dealer. The preview highlights him for Guild Quests and Limit Breaker quests with Soul Reaper Killer and increased ranged damage rules. He also fits any team that already uses Burn, since his link skill boosts other burn users.
Gin is a team booster. The preview suggests him as a non-control character in Guild Quests with Squad Zero Killer and increased melee damage rules, and as a strong addition to Soul Reaper teams built around strong attacks. His Major Boost and team damage buffs help everyone else hit harder.

Should You Pull for Toshiro or Gin?
Pull for Toshiro if you need damage for Guild Quests or Limit Breaker quests with Soul Reaper Killer rules, or if you already run a Burn team. Screen-wide strong attacks, poise break and fast recharge make him the easier character to use right away.
Pull for Gin if you already have strong Soul Reaper characters and want to raise the whole team's damage. His value depends on who stands next to him, so he shines most in accounts with a deep roster.
Wait if you are saving for a different banner. Without a confirmed end date or rate details, it is worth reading the in-game notice first so you know how long you have.
For most players, Toshiro is the safer first pick because he brings his own damage. Gin is the more specialized choice, and he becomes much stronger once your Soul Reaper lineup is already in place.
