Azur Lane October Update: Free Algérie Skin and New Pool Ships
By Sir Ayup
The Azur Lane October update went live on October 15, 2026, and its headline is a free limited skin for Algérie through the new event "The Strict Maid Isn't So Strict." It also adds two Tempesta stories to the War Archives, puts eight more ships into the Construction Pools permanently and introduces a new Fleetbuilding Guide for the Main Campaign. At gamemarket.gg, we broke down how to earn the Algérie skin, which ships you can now build at any time and everything else this update brings.
October Update at a Glance
- Update date: October 15, 12:00 A.M. (UTC-7), with around 6 hours of maintenance
- New event: The Strict Maid Isn't So Strict, from October 15 to November 4
- Free reward: Algérie's limited skin, voiced by Shizuka Ito
- War Archives: two Tempesta events added
- Construction Pools: eight ships now available permanently
- New feature: Fleetbuilding Guide for some Main Campaign stages
- Compensation: 2,000 Coins and 2,500 Oil
How to Get Algérie's Free Skin
The new event The Strict Maid Isn't So Strict runs from October 15 to November 4, 11:59 P.M. (UTC-7). Its structure is simple:
- Two event missions unlock each day until October 21.
- Complete all seven days of missions, fourteen missions in total.
- Claim Algérie's limited skin, "The Strict Maid Isn't So Strict."
The skin comes with new voice lines by Shizuka Ito. Since the final missions unlock on October 21 and the event lasts until November 4, you have plenty of time to catch up even if you miss a few days, but logging in daily is the easiest way to clear everything without a backlog.
Ships Added to the Construction Pools
Eight ships from the Tempesta events are now available permanently in the regular Construction Pools. These are returning shipgirls rather than brand-new characters, but having them permanently buildable is great news for anyone who missed their original events.
Light Construction Pool
- Lyme
- Royal James
- Fancy
- Portsmouth Adventure
Heavy Construction Pool
- Queen Anne's Revenge
- Pearl
- Ganj-i-Sawai
Special Construction Pool
- Amity
In addition, Adventure and Dolphin join the Merit Shop permanently, so you can buy them with Merit instead of relying on build luck.
Tempesta Stories in the War Archives
Two Tempesta events have been added to the War Archives:
- Tempesta and the Sleeping Sea
- Tempesta and Islas de Libertád
Together with the Construction Pool additions, this makes October a strong month for players who want to complete the Tempesta collection and catch up on its story.
Rerun Skins Worth Noting
Sixteen skins return permanently, many of them tied to the Tempesta ships now in the pools. Highlights include:
- Pearl – Fallen Angel in the Dark Castle (L2D+)
- Queen Anne's Revenge – Call of the Creeping Embrace (L2D)
- Owari – My Wish is For Love (L2D)
- Lyme – Corrupting Trap (Dynamic)
- Ganj-i-Sawai – Mermaid in Distress (Dynamic)
- Amity – Friendly Franken (Dynamic)
- Atago – Full Moon's Feral Wolf (Dynamic)
If you pull one of the newly added Tempesta ships, it is worth checking whether her rerun skin is in this list.
Other Additions
Fleetbuilding Guide
A new Fleetbuilding Guide is now available on some Main Campaign stages. Tap it on the chapter screen to see a recommended fleet and gear setup, and tap a character for an example loadout. The suggestions are a reference point, so adjust them based on the ships and gear you own.
Private Quarters and furniture
- Admiral Nakhimov's exclusive furniture, Nyakhimov's Dream Home, is available permanently.
- Taihou's exclusive furniture, Floralized Rhythm, is available for a limited time from October 15 to 21.
- Temple of Phantom Light and Shadowy Port return as rerun furniture.
Limited shop items (October 15 to 21)
- Limited Build Supplies (1 purchase)
- Limited Strategic Supplies (5 purchases)
- Decor Tokens Pack (2 purchases)
- Cognitive Chip Pack (2 purchases)
Quality-of-life fixes
The update also adds a play-while-downloading option, so you can start playing before every resource finishes downloading, and fixes a mismatch between the dynamic and static versions of Kearsarge's "Springtime Monitoring" skin.
What Ended Before This Update
The Capsule Rerun, which let Commanders pick one past event to replay from October 8 to 14, has now closed, along with its Rental Outfits. Compared with the August 6 update and its Essex-class event, October is lighter on new ships but much kinder to free players, and every earlier update remains collected in the Azur Lane news hub.
Your October Update Checklist
- Claim the 2,000 Coins and 2,500 Oil compensation.
- Clear the two daily event missions until October 21.
- Collect Algérie's free skin after completing all seven days.
- Build for the Tempesta ships now in the Construction Pools.
- Buy Adventure or Dolphin from the Merit Shop.
- Try the Fleetbuilding Guide on Main Campaign stages.
- Finish the event before November 4.
October's update is generous for free players: a full limited skin for Algérie just for logging in and clearing missions, plus permanent access to eight Tempesta ships. Clear your daily missions, build for the ships you missed and enjoy the new Fleetbuilding Guide while you farm.
