World of Tanks Eclipse: How to Get the Free Tier IX Heavy Tank
By Sir Ayup
World of Tanks Babylon Dark Tower is this year's Halloween event, and its headline reward is the Eclipse, a brand-new Tier IX Soviet Premium heavy tank armed with two 122 mm guns. You can earn it completely free by decrypting all 12 Records before the event ends on November 2. At gamemarket.gg, we broke down what the Eclipse is, exactly how to unlock it, the fastest ways to collect Decryption Keys and how to get the most out of the mode's new boss, the Spider.
Babylon: Dark Tower at a Glance

- Event: Babylon: Dark Tower (Halloween 2026)
- Asia server: October 15, 05:00 to November 2, 05:00 (UTC+7)
- Main reward: Eclipse, a Tier IX Soviet Premium heavy tank
- How to get it: decrypt all 12 Records with Decryption Keys
- Event vehicles: Legio Ferrata, Havoc, Malachite and Grenadier (all Tier IX, event-only)
- Final boss: the Spider
What Is the Eclipse?

The Eclipse is a Tier IX Soviet Premium heavy tank built for aggressive frontline combat. It is a special version of the Object 265-II with its own unique built-in appearance, and it uses the twin guns mechanic.
- Guns: two 122 mm guns
- Damage: 440 HP per shot
- Armour: strong hull and turret armour for holding contested positions
- Comes with: its crew and a Garage slot
Twin-gun tanks reward players who pick their moment. Instead of trading one shot at a time, the Eclipse can unload both barrels to punish an enemy that peeks too long, which makes it a natural fit for brawling heavy tank lines on city and close-quarters maps.
How to Get the Eclipse

- Play Babylon: Dark Tower battles in Mirny-13 using the four event vehicles.
- Complete Objectives to earn Decryption Keys.
- Spend Keys to decrypt Records, the story fragments that make up the 12-step progression.
- Decrypt all 12 Records to unlock the Eclipse.
Each Record also gives rewards along the way, so even partial progress pays off.
Fastest Ways to Earn Decryption Keys
Do every daily quest. Each of the four event vehicles has a daily quest you can complete once per day. Rotating through Legio Ferrata, Havoc, Malachite and Grenadier every day is the single biggest boost to your Key income.
Play consistently. The event lasts just under three weeks, so a few battles every day is far more reliable than trying to grind everything in the final weekend.
Pick a difficulty you can clear. The mode offers Normal, Hard and Nightmare. Winning steadily on a lower difficulty is usually better than failing repeatedly on a higher one.
Paid shortcut. The Captain Bundle in the Premium Shop includes 700 Decryption Keys, the E 77 Tier IX Premium heavy with a Monarch 3D style and all four event vehicles unlocked. It is optional, and the Eclipse itself can be earned without spending anything.
Every Progression Reward

Decrypting all 12 Records gives you the Eclipse plus:
- 500,000 Credits
- 450 Bonds
- 250 Battle Pass Points
- 800 Components
- 4 tier 1 upgraded equipment pieces
- 12 credit reserves and 12 combat XP reserves
- 12 missions for ×5 XP and 3 mentoring licenses
- 4 universal guides and a personal training manual
- A medal tied to the story vote
Surviving Babylon: Dark Tower

Know the Spider. The new final boss is a mechanical Spider with fully animated legs instead of tracks. Test builds showed it fighting in several stages with moving danger zones, so keep moving and avoid fighting it in the open.
Hunt the Scavenger. The Scavenger is the only enemy that carries loot. Destroying it leaves behind a concentrated Anomaly with special pick-ups, and combining Anomalies unlocks stronger Echo Anomalies.
Watch the Phase modifiers. The third Phase can change the rules completely. One modifier even lets enemies be destroyed with a single shot, so play much more carefully when it is active.
Use the right vehicle. The new Havoc is a wheeled British medium with an autocannon, great for fast flanking, while Legio Ferrata works best holding the front.
Choose How the Story Ends
For the first time in the event's history, the community's overall choice will influence the next chapter. You vote simply by completing the Progression, and the result is revealed after the event ends.
If you have been away for a while, the recent Update 2.4 German heavy tanks are worth a look alongside the Eclipse, and anyone juggling events can compare this progression with the DOOM Battle Pass special rewards or the earlier Neon Dash progression.
Your Eclipse Checklist
- Log in daily and complete the quest for each event vehicle.
- Earn Decryption Keys through Objectives.
- Decrypt all 12 Records to unlock the Eclipse.
- Learn the Spider's attacks before tackling Hard or Nightmare.
- Finish before November 2, 05:00 (UTC+7).
The Eclipse gives every player a shot at a Tier IX Premium heavy with twin 122 mm guns, just for playing. Stay consistent with your daily quests, learn the Spider's patterns and claim your Eclipse before the Dark Tower closes.
