Serpent's Fang Sword Trial Guide Where Winds Meet
By GameMarket Team 16 May 2026, 09:33 WIB
Serpent's Fang is Where Winds Meet's toughest endgame content in Version 1.6 — a Level 91 Sword Trial that throws two bosses at your 5-player squad back to back. Wolf Maiden first, Snake Doctor second. Clear it weekly and you're farming Tier 91 gear with zero Energy cost. Miss your cap and you're leaving the best loot in the patch on the table.
🐺 What Is the Serpent's Fang Sword Trial?
Serpent's Fang is a 5-player Campaign Trial unlocked at character Level 91, added alongside the Qinchuan region in Version 1.6: Flows of Dreams. It's the primary Tier 91 gear source in the current patch, and unlike most content, it doesn't cost Energy to run — which means no excuse to skip it. Every clear drops a Fang Chest and a Serpent Chest, both with a chance at the Accessory Dreadbone and the Hair Ornament Golden Serpent. The weekly cap is 5 of each chest type, resetting every Monday at 05:00 (UTC+8). Run the full cap every week. Every week.
🌙 Phase 1 — Wolf Maiden
Wolf Maiden is the opener, and she's built around making you uncomfortable with one thing: Blood Mist. Here's the deal — the mist transforms you into a wolf if you stand in it too long, which feels like a punishment but is actually a tool. Know when to use it and when to dodge it.
Blood Mist — the core rule: When mist drops directly under you (she targets specific players), immediately move toward the arena edge before it appears. Keep the center clean. A center flooded with mist is how the fight falls apart in 90% of wipes.
Chasing Moon Release — use the mist: When Wolf Maiden starts firing waves of projectiles, this is your cue. Intentionally step into the mist, let the wolf transformation happen, and use the movement speed to dodge through the projectile waves. Fighting it in human form is significantly harder. This is the one moment where the mist works for you.
Wolf adds: Kill them immediately when they spawn. Every second you leave an add alive is clutter during the next mechanic.
Severing Howl — this is the team check: Wolf Maiden marks one player with a gold circle, knocks them down, then follows with a red deflectable attack. If you're marked, move away from the group before the knockdown. Teammates need to step into the red circle and deflect to save you. Call it out. If nobody deflects, the marked player dies. This is the most common cause of team wipes in Phase 1 — communicate.
🐍 Phase 2 — Snake Doctor
Snake Doctor is cleaner mechanically than Wolf Maiden, but he punishes greed and poor positioning hard. The damage windows are real — don't force attacks during mechanic sequences.
Triple Poison — spread immediately: Snake Doctor marks three players with gold circles simultaneously. The moment you see your circle appear, move away from every other player. Circles that overlap explode on the same spot and deal combined damage — a guaranteed death. Don't panic, just spread. The delay before explosion is generous enough to reposition cleanly if you move the second you see the mark.
Serpent Claw — keep moving, prioritize position over damage: He sends rectangular AoE waves across the floor while simultaneously targeting players with gold circles. Your job here is movement, not DPS. Keep your feet moving at all times, watch the floor patterns, and don't drop your gold circle into an active red AoE zone. The damage window opens immediately after the sequence ends — wait for it.
Thousand Snakes — read the floor: He marks multiple rectangular zones before the attack lands. Move out of each indicator as it appears. The pattern is readable once you've seen it once — focus on clean dodging and save your skills for after the sequence. Blowing your burst during Thousand Snakes is a waste.
Twin Fire Snakes — assign pairs before the fight: Two large fire snakes spawn and each one creates a poison circle. One player inside a circle takes rapid stacking poison and dies fast. Two players inside the same circle split the damage and both survive. Before your first pull, designate your pairs — pair A takes the left snake, pair B takes the right. Stick to your assignment when they spawn and don't swap unless your partner is already dead.
🛠️ Best Setup for Serpent's Fang
Serpent's Fang has no hard class requirement, but one slot is non-negotiable: bring a Panacea Fan user. Resurrection is the safety net that keeps the trial from falling apart when Twin Snakes or Severing Howl goes wrong — and it will go wrong in pugs. For DPS, Heavenquaker Spear with Strategic Sword is the strongest single-target output for both bosses, followed closely by Nameless Sword builds. If your group needs extra survivability through Phase 1's Blood Mist, a Thundercry Blade and Stormbreaker Spear tank can absorb mist ticks while keeping aggro positioned.
