Seven Deadly Sins Origin 1.4 Update — Echoes of Hearts Full Breakdown
By GameMarket Team
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin's Version 1.4 "Echoes of Hearts" dropped on May 21, 2026 — and it's more than just an event patch. A new co-op dungeon, craftable weapon and accessory sets, a ranked pre-season, mobile Combat Support Mode, and one of the biggest balance fixes in the game's history. Here's everything that just went live and how to make the most of it before June 4.
❤️ What Is "Echoes of Hearts"?
Echoes of Hearts is the broader title for Version 1.4's content package, which shipped as the second part of the Version 1.3 update window alongside Clotho's debut on May 13. The update adds a themed co-op event dungeon, a full ranked pre-season across three game modes, new craftable gear sets, and a wave of quality-of-life improvements that directly address community feedback from the first months of the game's global launch. Everything runs until June 4, 2026 — which leaves Heirs 10 days from today to complete every event track.
🏰 Temple of Love — Co-Op Event Dungeon
Temple of Love is the centerpiece of the Echoes of Hearts update and the most time-sensitive content to prioritize. It's a co-op event dungeon — not a solo story chapter — that begins through NPC Turan and unfolds through sequential quests across seven days. The co-op structure means you'll want to coordinate with active guild members or use the in-game matchmaking to clear each day's dungeon efficiently.
The seven-day sequential format means each quest only unlocks on its designated day — you can't rush ahead and complete multiple days at once. Log in daily throughout the event window to progress through every quest stage. Missing a day's quest doesn't permanently lock you out of later stages, but falling behind means less total event currency and potentially missing tier rewards that require consistent progression.
Temple of Love Rewards:
- Limited-time Titles — exclusive to the Echoes of Hearts event, unavailable after June 4
- Accessories — limited event accessories that won't return until a rerun
- Regular Hero Draw Tickets — direct pull currency for the Standard Banner
- Event Currency — used in the Echoes of Hearts exchange shop
- Miscellaneous upgrade materials
The Echoes of Hearts exchange shop accepts event currency for Brilliant Engraving Seal and SSR Magic Crystal Shard — both high-value resources for hero development. Prioritize these two in the shop before spending currency on lower-value items. Limited-time titles and accessories should also be claimed before the event closes if cosmetics matter to your account.
Known bug: Heroes occasionally get stuck in terrain during Temple of Love runs. If this happens, exit the dungeon and reconnect — this resolves the issue. Netmarble has acknowledged the bug and confirmed a permanent fix is coming in a future update.
🏆 To the Top — Ranked Pre-Season
"To the Top" is the ranked competitive pre-season launched alongside the Echoes of Hearts update, covering four distinct content modes simultaneously:
- Corrupted Ancient Dragon Abyss — high-difficulty boss encounter with leaderboard ranking
- Deep Spider Nest Abyss — multi-wave dungeon challenge with ranked progression
- Timespace Junction Sectors 3 & 4 — the two newest Timespace Junction sectors, now with ranked tracking
- Ranking Board Pre-Season — overarching leaderboard across all participating modes
Pre-season rankings establish your baseline score before the full competitive season launches. Performing well now gives you a stronger starting position when the real season begins, and pre-season rewards typically include exclusive cosmetics or materials distributed after the pre-season concludes. Push your score as high as possible before June 4.
⚔️ New Craftable Sets — Breath of Glory & Cursed Pulse
Version 1.4 introduces two new craftable gear sets that expand the endgame build options for multiple hero archetypes.
Breath of Glory (Weapon Set): The new craftable weapon set targeting aggressive DPS builds. Check the crafting recipes in the Forge and identify which boss materials are required before committing farming runs. Crafted weapon sets offer reliable stat floors without RNG enhancement rolls, making them a solid investment for heroes you're building specifically for high-difficulty content.
Cursed Pulse (Accessory Set): The companion accessory set to Breath of Glory, designed to complement the weapon set's offensive focus. The Cursed Pulse name suggests a damage-amplifying or status-effect accessory set — check the specific set bonuses in-game at the Forge to assess whether the set aligns with your current hero priorities. Accessory sets in 7DS: Origin are often build-defining, so reviewing the full set bonuses before farming materials is worth the few minutes it takes.
🛡️ Major Balance Fix — Griamore Shield
One of the most significant changes in Version 1.4 is a balance correction to Griamore's shield mechanic. His shield effect was providing 50% damage reduction — the correct value according to the game's design — but the calculation was erroneously capped at far below its intended effectiveness. The fix brings Griamore's shield up to its full intended 150% Defense value, which is a substantial buff to his actual in-game performance.
If you've been running Griamore and finding his defensive contribution underwhelming, this is why. The corrected shield value makes him meaningfully more effective in both solo and co-op content. Heirs who have Griamore in their roster should revisit team compositions that previously felt too fragile — the correct shield value changes what he can survive through.
📱 New Features — Combat Support & Region Chat
Combat Support Mode is now available on mobile devices — a simplified input assistance that helps players who find the full action combat system difficult to manage on touch controls. It's optional and can be toggled in settings. For Heirs who have been playing on PC or PS5 and occasionally dip into mobile, this mode brings the mobile experience significantly closer to the other platform versions in terms of control reliability.
Region Chat launches with automatic translation — meaning Heirs from different language regions can communicate in real time without a language barrier. The global player community is diverse across SEA, Europe, and North America, and region chat with auto-translation is a meaningful social feature for co-op coordination in content like Temple of Love.
♿ Accessibility Update — Sound Guidance
Version 1.4 also introduces dedicated sound accessibility options inspired directly by feedback from a player in Japan who plays The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin using audio alone — navigating the world through voice acting, music, and environmental sound. The player wrote to the development team requesting directional audio guidance for quests and exploration.
Netmarble responded by adding enhanced audio cues for low HP warnings, nearby treasure chests, and environmental hazards, with a commitment to expanding directional audio guidance for quests and gathering points in future updates. It's worth noting because it reflects a development team that is reading player feedback carefully — which bodes well for the game's long-term quality trajectory.
